There were times I was laughing at myself--there aren't that many people who would include worldbuilding into what's ostensibly a clopfic.

5357501 Like I've said multiple times, my OC is NOT an Alicorn. In the storyline segments of my show, Cynical (my OC) states that he's a unicorn. He has a bitter hatred towards most Alicorns, and created mechanical wings as some attempt to insult them. Also, how the Hell does my profile pic nullify my point? That would be like saying you don't get an opinion because you have a FNAF pic.

I'm doing what I can. Slowly shifting a lot of my works to OCs, or background ponies who might as well be OCs.
But it's a double-edged sword. Everyone wants to read the Rainbow + Human fic; Ambrosia + Human won't get the views.
5509985 yeah sadly its true but not surprising. OCs have gotten a bad rep over time since most end up being Mary sues or Gary stus. only OCs that actually are interesting to read about are the already famous ones.
i probably wouldn't read a story about OCs because of the reasons above and mostly because most OCs who are even side characters of a story lack personality or they simply aren't interesting enough. best of luck with your fics though!

Yeah--you never know what you're getting into in an all OC fic. In a lot of cases, it comes down to the reader trusting the author. If they've read a few good stories by an author, they're more likely to read another, even if it's all OC. Or you can write the storyline so that the OCs take more and more of the spotlight from major characters as the story progresses. If done right, it works really well. Otherwise, it just pisses everyone off.

I'm pretty sure this is the only Colgate x Human fanfic, but I could be wrong. This is just the only one I have found on the site, and for some reason mare x human relationships are one of my favorite stories. Not for the clop though, just the sweet fluffy romance, or the not so sweet and not so fluffy romance.
