What I mean by chaotic are those random flickers of emotions which turn from happy to sad, from sad to angry, from angry to sad again, which happen a lot. You have rare writing style, which would probably enable you to write great fics from Discord or Pinkie Pie POV, so I highly advise you do so!!

OHH that... Well I contributed that to Spike's young age. In this P.O.V. he views thing much like a child would not following the emotions of other ponies until they were out right and blatant. That and Spike was distracted during most of this chapter.

How could this ever get flamed? It is genious! Well... Maybe not genious, but it is extremely well executed.
Only one problem. I require a better descriptions for the characters. It is really confusing. You say they are antro characters, and Twilight does refers to herlself as a pony and Spike as a dragon. But there is no indication that Twilight has fur over her body, her magic horn or tail. Spike apparently isn't completely covered in scales and has a white skin. And he also doesn't seem to have a tail. So yeah... It gets confusing (to me at least) to imagine how this two are supposed to look like.
You could also tell us hoe old they are. Becase "child" and "kid" are terms way to vague.

Did that clear up for you yet? In chapter two I accurately portraited Spike's age. For now it will only be his age... But you asked the right question. I didn't go into detail about their image, that serves a purpose.
You as the reader go in and immerse yourself in a world of literature to lose yourself for a bit. That's not what this story is about. This is about Spike and Twilight. They have seen each other, the know the ins and outs of the other. You wouldn't explain how your mom looks on a daily basis, and Twilight and Spike have done nothing that would require they explain anything about their physiology or at least Twilight hasn't... Yet. Now if say they were to perform an act that would require such detail I would put it, unfortunately that's not the case. Shame too my mental picture of Twilight is hot!! Spike... The man of my dreams!!
