Why in the world would anyone write any sort of fic that involves finding different ways to kill off a pony?
If it were Discord or someone immortal that would probably make more sense.

The other day Obselescence made this blog post and used 'Twilight Sparkle Eats Peaches' as their example story in the blog post tagging example. And now everyone has gone batty with it. It'll probably blow over in a couple days.
Also, the count seems to be off. It goes 'chapter 8-death by weapons/tools' then 'chapter 9-death by friends', but chapter 8 ends with #80 and chapter 9 starts with #91. #81-90 are conspicuous by their absence.

I think 81-90 was mainly ways to trick spike into killing Rarity but, they were omitted because at the time she felt that she couldn't ever get it to happen. Not to mention they would have hurt him mentally.
I found that delightful. If Twilight published that book, I would go to great lengths to purchase the first one like Jerry Seinfeld and the Acura NSX.Video Here.

I think it's more because we haven't seen enough of Luna to have too much of a reason to hate her, and what we have seen of Luna (Luna, not Nightmare Moon) hasn't really warranted hatred. maybe annoyance a little, maybe a bit of pity, but mostly she's just seemed kinda fun, if out of place. She may be overrated, but she's also not given a real reason to be outright hated.
Heck, I think even Big Mac has had more development than her, and he barely talks.
That said, we've seen plenty of stuff about Rarity that can be spun into a reason to either hate her or think she's really dense, right up until the drop in Secrets of My Excess, which shows she may know Spike's feelings, but doesn't openly acknowledge them for whatever reason and, in fact, treats Spike the same as before, which, given images like Pin Cushion Spike, has a lot of Spike fans set to boil, resulting in fics like this.
Not saying I like the fact or hate it, just calling what I see. Luna has fans as well as folks who are indifferent to her, but not exactly a lot of haters given that there's little reason to in canon.

Yes, I realize that, but again, aside from being out of place, out of time, it didn't really establish anything to really make her a dis-likable character aside from maybe being a little too princess-y when she called off the holiday because it hurt her feelings (Which she reversed in, like, five minutes).
There was nothing really to hate because all we really know is what she did, we didn't really get any insight to her personality or day-to-day interactions with others, all in all culminating in this answer to your question...
I think the reason we don't have a "101 Ways to Kill Luna" is because she hasn't given anyone reason enough to hate her to the point of writing it.

I like this. It's unique enough in its approach to a dark direction without going too far and being gory. I do wonder if Twilight would have attempt any of this.
The ending with Spike moving on to Twilight is a bit rushed. Perhaps show him discovering Twilight's book first.

What's funny is that I watched this video before reading this.
Yet another thing that Twilight and I have in common, as if the urge to write a story about Twilight stuffing herself full of food as part of her princess training wasn't strong enough. Something tells me that Jigsaw would be wise to invest in Twilight as an accomplice.

Big Mac has shown more development. Luna only showed she was becoming more social. Luna was only special in two because it showed she was bonding with her sister more. Big Mac was only special in one because it showed his development, and two just for the problem. So both had five episodes where they could be considered one of the main focuses.
(I'm not counting the theme, nor the movies, nor the comics.)
