Just when things couldn't be weirder with people on Earth randomly turning into ponies and the week now being the length of a year, the next unsuspecting and unassuming victim of Discord's game wakes as the pony Amethyst Star! Initially intent to confront the Princesses for answers in New York, he (now she) changes plans after an incident where some members of an anti-pony hate group decide to go to far more extreme lengths to get their 'message' across. Deciding to fight back with a message of her own, Amethyst resurrects an heroic symbol from the series long gone but not forgotten...

LOL Last chapter of that fic. Don't worry, the "Series" fic will end on a very open note, allowing for me or anyone to be free to write slice-of-life fics of her experiencing another adventure before I have the next 'major' story come along.

On another note, I've recently bought a book at the local comic convention detailing interviews the writer had done with the 'real-life' superheroes you sometimes hear about; people who actually do dress up and fight crime, help charities, etc; figured it'd be good research material for this tale!

Is this going to react with the In-Universe Solar and Lunar 'guards' present in some of the side-fics? if so, How? (The 'Guards' i'm talking about are a group of Bronies dedicated to protecting ponies from extremist PAPA agents and getting the ponies to New York.)

At the moment, Kyle/Amethyst and Steph are focused on their own matters, with Amethyst about to undergo the practices and preparations to become Mare Do Well over the course of next chapter. I think her aggressive approach in that she wants to terrorize the extremists as much as possible as well as protect ponies will be interesting to play off of if she meets these Guards tho.
Reminds me when I have time I need to catch up on reading those fics...

The big complaint is "Magic works with imagination." That... that was dumped right off the bat. So... Sparkler's suggestion only works if your special talent is teleportation or teleportation related, or you have the right mindset.

I remember the thing about not being imagination-powered(or it'd be saying unicorns or ponies who didn't use it often had no imagination, which is absurd), I was trying to follow a mindset of how most basic and lowbie teleportation works; Having to see and know where you're going so you know the spot when you're displaced and returned, usually having to go straight forward, and tried to go with the most basic one that'd possibly be a 'standard-issue' lesson as it'd seem likely a school for gifted unicorns in Canterlot would teach several basic spells beyond the usual telekinesis but I probably should have worded it differently. I just did some fixes that are hopefully more along the line of what was had in mind. Sent message so something can be worked out for long term and I'll be glad to fix it accordingly

Thanks! I have another chapter in the works I hope to have up this weekend(this month's gonna be tight on me due to moving). And yeah I definitely wanted the main antagonist that MDW would have to face be both a formidable opponent and also someone vile enough to be seen a real danger to ponified people in the story's location. And I'd say I got the reaction I was hoping for, because this won't be the last time MDW deals with him

Oh I can't wait to see the papa bastards pay for what they do. I never truly understand these people. The religions of the world always tell people to love and tolerate one another. And yet when something new appears they use the religious sayings and twist them so they can hate and destroy the thing. They aren't really followers of The Lord when they do things like that in my opinion. They are just hate mongers.

Exactly, and them actually believing such twisted convictions makes them that much scarier. They don't think their actions, no matter how heinous, are wrong at all; and rather believe everyone else is wrong for saying they are.
I wanted to make sure MDW has an enemy who isn't just some bumbling sign-waver, but someone who's just as dedicated to 'sending a message' and poses a genuine threat to those that were ponified.

Truth be told, many of them are more 'suers then doers' essentally just annoying and disrespectful fearmongers, the group that showed up here is one who has taken to following a charismatic but dangerous man who tells them what they want to hear; gives them a 'solution' and that their actions are punishing a race that 'took' their loved ones from them. Sound familiar?
But it also, I'm hoping, opens the door to allow some more sympathetic members eventually
