The few people who know about Marble Pie, only know she is the opposite of her twin sister, Pinkie: shy, quiet, and likes to keep to herself. However, the young woman actually has a secret life that no one really knows about.

Marble Pie is the shyest and youngest of the Pie sisters. With her sisters Maud and Pinkie gone off on their own, it leaves Marble with her parents and her other sister Limestone to tend to the rock farm. With so much work to do, Marble tends to get stressed a lot. One day while in the attic, Marble decides to vent her feelings and frustrations, not knowing someone (or rather something) was going to be there to "listen."

Ponyville is filled with ponies who know their place and have clear and bright futures, but that is not true for all. Zephyr Breeze, Marble Pie and Snips are all ponies whose lives are far from what they wished they were; filed with unsatisfied desires and lingering worries. They remain in the background of Equestrian life until a mysterious Unicorn offers them the ability to become what they could never be on their own and sets them loose to confront all the pain, anger and fear that secretly surrounds their hearts. Everything inside them comes boiling to the surface as they use their newfound power to make sure that the world finally sees them.

As the silent of the Pie sisters, Marble writes all her thoughts in a journal including how crushed she is that Big Mac is dating Sugar Belle and not her. She then shows it to Pinkie because she knows her twin, Limestone won't understand and neither will Maud.

After being exposed as the ring leader of Anon-A-Miss, Apple Bloom is "Banished" to the town of Allspark Wells. There she will live with her honorary "Uncle" Ironhide and his friends as she comes to terms with what she's done and rebuilds her life. As she gains new friends, Apple Bloom begins to realize that despite what she's done, she has a place to call home. After all, Allspark Wells is the place "where new futures are forged."

Marble Pie has left her family's rock farm and gone off to college, and Pinkie Pie has made peace with that fact. Marble, for her part, is determined to not only study hard but also make some new friends.

The twin sisters naturally decide that they should keep in touch via letters, and that's exactly what they do. Marble and Pinkie exchange letters written to one another from time to time, keeping each other informed about how life changes.
