Twilight finds out something isn't quite right about the crystal castle and herself. When she learns that something has changed about her and she isn't who she thinks she is, she tries to find out why and how that came to pass.
The answers isn't what she expected, but now that she knows, what will she do with that information? Will she change, continue, or end it all?
Everything seemed to be going better for Sunset Shimmer since getting blasted by the rainbow of light. She was learning about friendship and how to be a friend. Then Anon-A-Miss struck.
Thinking she had gone back to her old ways, Sunset's new friends walked away from her, leaving her alone.
Now Sunset cannot find neither the strength nor the will to get out of bed.
This is a first foray into attempting to tell a story from a first person perspective from Sunset's point of view.
This story is inspired in part by my own past struggles with depression.
The suicide/self harm tag is for thoughts of self harm, and Sunset's inability to eat or do anything other than lie in bed as she sinks deeper and deeper into depression.

You pity her. You see her, you speak with her for a few minutes, learn about the myriad of tragedies in her life (and there's always something new), and you just feel bad for her. You want to help. Really, it's easy for Rarity to let somepony stay with her for a little while, just until that guest truly gets back on their hooves, because the mare needs help.
You pity her. And when the pity runs out... that's where the self-loathing starts to come in.

This story is a sequel to Colors
I've been feeling empty lately. Not sad, not happy, just... empty. I fake a smile around the girls. I don't know if they notice.
There is something that ends the emptiness. I don't like it, but I'd rather feel pain than nothing. So long as the girls don't notice. I don't need that kind of attention, or worry.
AN/ this story contains descriptions of cutting and self harm. It doesn't describe the act, but does describe the aftermath. If you don't read it because of that, I understand.
This story is a sequel to Exes Meet
Sunset Shimmer is a smart girl; she knows staying in her apartment for weeks is unhealthy and recovering from a breakdown requires rejoining the outside world. However, she has not mustered up the courage to do so, largely because she is unable to trust her newfound "friends". She still wants to see them in hopes of proving herself wrong. Well, now they're all coming over to visit. Lucky her.
This story is part of Sunset's Recovery Arc. It was originally the end, but…
Rated "T" for references to self-harm in certain chapters.
Rainbow takes Rarity on a short holiday to try and get away from everything.
But she knows there are some things you can't leave behind.

This was originally written in an hour. This version has received some slight refinement. A big thanks to all who preread in the contest.
CW: Themes/suggestions of mental illness, self-harm and suicide
It's been a year since Twilight passed away from her illness. In that time Fluttershy's barely recovered. Her friends are worried about her but Fluttershy refuses to move on. Can her friends guide her back into the light? Or will she too succumb to the darkness?
Sequel to Disease in The Darkness
Twilight Sparkle may be a brilliant scientist, a flawless engineer, and a wielder of otherworldly magic—but she's not infallible. Sometimes, she isn't okay. Pinkie knows this.
Warning for slight mentions of self-harm/suicide

”Alright, starting today, I’m going to start journaling this stuff. Maybe I’m overthinking it and I will just come off as a raving lunatic, but I’m sure I’ll laugh about it later down the line.”
A young, anonymous high school junior revisits an old show that he used to watch as a kid. It was one he used to watch near religiously, to the point that television was banned from the house. After reconnecting with cable, he finds the show once more. However, even his nostalgia couldn’t make him sit through a kid’s television program all over again.
Yet, ever since rediscovering it, he finds that it’s been popping up far more in his life than he realized. What was first thought of as an aggressive marketing campaign changes when the show appears to be communicating to him. Join our journalist as he finds himself stalked and hounded by My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the Animated TV Show!
Author’s Note: Now for something completely different! I had the urge to write a sort of mystery, almost meta-style narrative. I also wanted to try out a first person story. I already write myself into things anyway! *ba dum tss*
UPDATE 7/29/25: This story is cancelled. Please read my blog post to get the conclusion. I just don’t have the passion anymore, but I still love this story. Thank you and I’m sorry.
