Hey, you! Do you like to cuddle ponies? Of course you do- if you don't, you're a commie!
Hey, you! Do you like to cuddle ponies? Of course you do- if you don't, you're a commie!
BRRR! It's COLD now and it's only gonna get COLDER over the next few days- here in Chicago, we might be smashing records tonight and tomorrow! (School is canceled for the next 1.5 days!)
Got a two-fer for y’all today!
First up, Muppetz’s Catch and Release.
Y’all may have noticed that one, it was in the feature box. Technically not a not-a-contest submission, but Jetty does work for the EPA, so that ticks a box.
We all love seaponies (we do, right?) because they’re adorable.
AlwaysDressesInStyle has done it again! Another fic for my not-a-contest, this time featuring a hotelier/taxi driver!
For today’s entry we’ve got something that’s not quite in the Not-A-Contest.
Back again folks with two more short entries to the Imposing Sovereign II contest that I picked at random this time. Since there are a few of these up already, I'm going to also at the beginning here link to the first 4 of these blogs. They're easy enough to find, but if you've just hopped on for this latest blog, this will hopefully make it a bit easier to jump around to the others.
Well, now you can! My friend, Scampy, is having an immensely poggers contest. If you write a spectacular Sunset/Wallflower story you can win cash prizes (1-5 places and judge's prizes) and have your story be responsible to donating Real Money to Real LGBT Charities.
Find out about it here!
I mentioned on a blog post of Silver Notes that i'd blatantly crib their style of data tracking posts. Both because it looks fun, and it's a good way of keeping up to date. First though, I thought it'd be nice to give a general update on how things are going.
Hello all! Here, we will present the winning couples of round four, in which will four four winners, and two losers!
Now, I recently added a small incentive for the writers to add to their story if they wanted the extra prize, well, let's just say it didn't really work out and nobody did it... Well, one couple did, but it didn't really live up to the standards so I won't really count it as the extra prize. So, let's get to the meat of this blog and reveal the winners!
So it’s in fashion for authors to do a monthly review of their work. Seen a few folks do it. I think I’m going to start one of my own. It’ll help when I’m feeling discouraged about progress for my stories. In case you're working, the "Takka Takka Takka" is the sound of fingers on a keyboard. I'm 'borrowing' it from Diane Duane's Twitter Account profile pic.
So, at long last, I'm home! BABSCon was freaking epic and far surpassed my expectations... but also for reasons I never saw coming!
Everyone is familiar with the ham sandwich:
But in Fall Weather Friends, Pinkie Pie mentions a hot dog eating contest while announcing for the race.
Clearly, that song and dance for the buffalo was just a way of luring them into a false sense of complacency.
If you're trying to get the most out of the last ten days until Christmas, may I suggest one (or both) of the following two choices for you:
1. Feel free to read (or re-read) my story Human, It's Cold Outside! Sometimes, you just want some cuddles from Celestia and Luna, you know? And with a Christmas/Hearth's Warming backdrop, and set to the tune of an old Christmas carol, this quick, fun read is sure to pep you up!
So far, there are only THREE entries to my CUDDLEFIC CONTEST (RULES AT THIS LINK), and the due date is THIS FRIDAY THE 15th! If you're editing your submission, make sure to publish it and put it in the group contest folder soon!
Hmm...that weirdo in the goggles looks familiar doesn't he? I am sure I've seen him somewhere before...
(looks in mirror, face expresses absolute awe and amazement)
My contest entry video actually made it in!?!
Me, sleeping the sleep of the just, knowing that fan culture isn't going anywhere.
Me, waking up to realize that I only have 21 days left to finish that epic Blueblood warfic for FoME's contest.
Only six thousand words left.
On the first draft.
My authorial intent has been hitting something of a brick wall lately. While in my blog post two weeks ago I suggested I'd focus on Three Steps Back, I instead opted to use the May Pairings contest to advance some EQG 'verse plot lines I'd been working on. These failed spectacularly, with 4k words that...aren't *awful* but severely bloated and info dump-y. So, that went on the back-burner. This in turn led to Monday To Friday, 9 to 5 which is also a mess, but one I
Hey guys, Dubs here. I've got a new story out—or, really, more like a collection of stories. The Life and Times of Loud Mouth. Read on for more info.
GetRekt's Submission:
The last of the contestants had made it back to the mansion, they were unsurprisingly quiet on the ride back. The loss of the other two contestants had stung hard on all of them. Even Reneighah, who was usually talkative and positive, stayed in silence for the majority of the evening, too shocked to form words.
Coalstone looked about ready to erupt in anger taking a glance back at the bus, before kicking the doors to the mansion open.
