Well, after the last dungeon that was HORRIBLY balanced for two players (six Super Badasses in a row coming at us two at a time? Fuck off, Gearbox!), Brady and I completed Dragon Keep on True Vault Hunter Mode.
Well, for my first day off this week, my main plan was to finish up the last of the Borderlands 2 Dragon Keep DLC with Brady.
I let him know ahead of time that if the Conference Call shotgun dropped, I had dibs.
Lo and behold, the slag variant.
Two years ago today I was bored and really into Phoenix Wright. So my best friend said "Hey check out this Phoenix Wright thing on Youtube." I shrugged clicked the link and shrugged "Heather this has ponies. You know i've sworn to never watch ponies." "Just watch the first part if you don't like it i'll never bother you with it again."
Well... I think you can all figure out how that went.
BOOYAH!
Yesterday, I finally made the push to get on Discord and manually get a group together to try Division 2's hardest content; the Operation Dark Hours raid.
To the (most likely few) unfamiliar, a 'raid' is a MMO's hardest group content. The term goes all the way back to the days of Everquest and World of WarCraft, requiring the coordination and cooperation of anywhere from eight to forty players. Division 2 needs eight.
After two hours, I did it.
Dew to the realse of The Splatoon 2 Octo Exspantion the next chapter might be delayed. Normally I wouldn't be announcing when I get a new game and rather play it then write but the Octo Exspantion is a gauntlet. It was so challenging I ended up throwing my Nintendo Switch. So yeah when I do end up rage quitting I'll get back on the next chapter. Also don't take this as me hating on the Octo Exspantion, I actually love it, I'm just not that good at video games
Fresh!
Raw!
And some idiot who has no clue WTF he's doing, and nobody else does either!
THREE HOURS UNTIL JOKER IN SMASH, FOLKS!!
One of Splatoon 2's most interesting and offbeat features is the oekaki boards each player can post, which are the only real method of self-expression in the game and have tremendous potential for abuse. They also have potential to amaze and impress with users showing off unholy pixel art talents. And a little of everything in between.
So this morning I'm playing a little bit of Splatoon before getting up for the day, and Ranked is set on Clam Blitz. Which is awesome, because I play defense, so Clam Blitz is a nice way to get the brain firing and ease into the day.
What If 2 - Electric Boogaloo, coming soon to a Fimfic near you? 👀👀👀
Still gonna be at least a year 'til then though, and that's if I keep up with daily updates.
One more year on fimfiction. (Okay, I'm a bit late.)
This year wasn't as hectic as last year, and I think that's good. Not to say this year wasn't uneventful, for both good and bad. I've tried new things, stopped a couple others.
I'm not looking back at as much this year, in part because it doesn't feel as strange to me to be here. To have been so welcomed.
Looks like Bungie has something in store for us on this next stream about the second year of Destiny 2
Livestream starts Tuesday June 5th at 9 AM Pacific, 12 PM Eastern, 5 PM British, 6 PM Central European.
Daughters of Glimmer continues, and the mane six have an important lesson today.
Three years ago after a patch for Titanfall 1, I went to their forums and, jokingly, complained about the lack of a high five animation for the opening drop. Just as jokingly, a Respawn employee responded.
Now that the MRVN faction became available in Titanfall 2 today, one of the opening animations is him offering a high five, and getting ignored by all the dropship's pilots. This saddens him immensely.
Well Bungie, I hope Destiny 2 is ready for a population bump, because your competitors at Massive are still massive idiots who don't have a fucking clue how to balance their game properly, and they certainly don't learn from mistakes.
Eagle Bearer, the hardest gun to acquire in Division 2 is getting a 15% nerf next month, and the raiding community is in the process of getting absolutely crippled after the patch notes have been released and read. Good job.
My first ever Splatfest has come and gone...
I was on Team Tortoise, so I'm feeling the sting of being on the losing side of my first ever Splatfest, but I did my best, I had fun, so I have no regrets. Congratulations to Team Hare!
