Three years ago after a patch for Titanfall 1, I went to their forums and, jokingly, complained about the lack of a high five animation for the opening drop. Just as jokingly, a Respawn employee responded.
Now that the MRVN faction became available in Titanfall 2 today, one of the opening animations is him offering a high five, and getting ignored by all the dropship's pilots. This saddens him immensely.
So of course I grabbed the forum post from three years ago, ran to reddit, and of course the SAME RESPAWN EMPLOYEE RESPONDS.
He's clearly the one who wanted to program the High-Five in but didn't get the budget to do it.
