Signal Boost: The Disney Princess · 1:36am Nov 19th, 2020

For today’s entry we’ve got something that’s not quite in the Not-A-Contest.

EThe Disney Princess
Disney isn't ready for this princess.

In the interests of full disclosure, I haven’t actually read it yet; I spent most of the day bashing my knuckles on a stupid Ford. But as soon as I saw it come across my feed, I thought two things. First, everybody loves Didney Worl,

and second, Sock Puppet’s a good writer. He (I assume) also wrote Pegasus Pizza, you know.

To change the subject slightly, on The Pony of the Mackinac Bridge lots of people commented about the bridge and their memories of the bridge rather than the story itself, and I think that’s because of what the bridge means, especially to Michiganders.

Likewise, a lot of people were enthused about Silver Glow visiting Disney World, and I think for the same reason. While I’ve never visited, to people who have been, it has a special meaning, likely moreso than any other amusement park/theme park.

Luckily, Admiral Biscuit assumed correctly.

I've read this, it's excellent.
It's a sequel to

EDestroyed in a Flurry
It's not a party until the fire department gets called.

but you don't need to read that to follow this story

Hm, thanks; I might take a look. :)

(My maternal grandparents did take me and my parents to Disney World once as a kid, so I have some firsthand memories of it.
Much more recently, but still a while back from now, I spent some time on Google Earth roughing out a new expanded monorail system (not an extension of the current system; this would have been based on Urbanaut technology and connected the current monorail-served area with the Animal Kingdom, some other resort areas including I think (it's been a bit, and I don't think I ever actually saved a system map) at least one, possibly two water parks, a new station for local and long-distance passenger rail, and Orlando International Airport) for it for fun. You know, as one does. :D)

Hey, big thanks!!

I went to Disney Land back in 2008. I walked in the front gate and turned ten years old. It wasn't until about seven that night before I finally thought, "Gee, I wish the wife and kids had come here with me." Then I saw another ride and forgot about them until the fireworks. Wonderful times.
