Prince Blueblood is absolutely convinced that Tempest Shadow has lied to Princess Celestia and that she is still plotting to conquer Canterlot. Now it's up to him to stop her.

Unfortunately, he is (a) dead wrong, (b) not a fan of comic books, and (c) not trained in espionage, counter-intelligence, special operations or anything else that would be useful in such a situation. But he does know which flowers go well with her coat and what restaurant can offer the best candlelight dinner opportunities, so... that's... a start...?

Prince Blueblood / Tempest Shadow, because I love my random and obscure shipping constellations these are two very different, very fascinating characters who can probably learn a lot from each other. (Also maybe some Capper/Celaeno on the sidelines later on?)

Content warning is again on the "better safe than sorry" side: there is no suicide, and the only reference to self-harm will be when some of Tempest's scars are discussed.

Even worse, a moral dilemma forces Rainbow to face a difficult decision, her only confidant in this situation being Gilda. But Gilda is determined to do whatever it takes to help Rainbow see this through, and has the ability to do so as long as she adheres to one important rule:

Don't give in.

Poppy Crafts is an outgoing, cheery pegasus mare who has recently found herself feeling a bit stifled for reasons she can't quite put her hoof on ...or, rather, feels hesitant to put her hoof on. But when things become too obviously apparent for her to ignore any longer she is forced to confront the issue of her boyfriend being a chronic shut in. Now knowing that he is hurting the mare he loves in ways he had not realized, he agrees to do something far outside his comfort zone to begin mending his mistake. Will it be the first of many steps forward, or the first of many steps apart?

This story was written waaay back in 2014 for the Tumblr pony prom event. I don't technically have an ask blog, but the mod of Ask Princess Subi asked me to the prom so we decided she would draw five pictures and I would write a story around them. As usual I finished late as all hell! Since then the story has remained on my Tumblr blog, and in spite of my years of hesitation I think it's about time I posted it here for people that don't follow my blog to read and hopefully enjoy.

Oh and before anyone gets confused, the Ask Princess Subi blog took place in a Rule 63 continuity with mane six stallions instead of mane six mares, hence Elusive instead of Rarity, etc.

Flash Magnus may have been born and raised in a completely different era, but he and the other Pillars have been able to adjust to modern Equestrian society with the help of the Elements of Harmony. In fact, Flash was able to make an especially strong friendship with Rainbow Dash, a fellow flier whose bravery and competitive spirit rivaled his own.

However, after spending a few months together as close friends, it seemed that Rainbow was wanting to take things a bit further than just friends. Even though the stallion was more than interested, he knew he couldn't reciprocate Dash's actions when she tried to make the first move. And when she tried to ask why, Flash found it hard to adequately explain his reason without hurting her, or making her judge him too poorly.

For you see, Flash Magnus had a rather significant reason for his resistance towards a possible relationship, even with someone as amazing as Rainbow Dash. While they have have been the same age (biologically speaking), Flash was raised in a much different era as the Element of Loyalty. Most of their differences in upbringing could be looked aside, but there was one big one he knew could be a deal-breaker. And despite how he felt about Rainbow, the soldier was worried how she would react if she learned the truth.

As a new resident of Ponyville, Twilight is still feeling her way around her friendships. The slower-paced life is difficult to adjust to, with nopony she feels comfortable with talking about her Cutie Mark talent of magic with. As Celestia's student, Twilight doesn't want to show off, lest she alienate her friends who would see her as a braggart. As a result, Twilight is beginning to lose her drive to study and learn.

In this ennui of Twilight's early days in Ponyville steps in a nomadic showpony who might just reignite Twilight's passion for magic. Meet the Great and Powerful Tristan!

It's been months since the Equestrian Games, due the long absence of any Internationale competitions Princess Celestia sets for a new kind of tournament that's never been made before in Equestria.

The first Worldwide Equestrian Flying Marathon will be realized in the matter of a couple of weeks.

Seeing such an opportunity to make her name in story, a certain blue pegasus will do anything she can to win the marathon. There's only one problem.

She needs a team.

Roseluck doesn't like to admit her crush to most ponies; the few she's told were too busy laughing to hear her explain herself. She's ready to give up on the notion of confessing her love, until the town jeweler offers his encouragement and even his assistance in helping her secure her "special somepony". Would he have been so enthusiastic in helping if he knew the "special somepony" is a "special somegriffon", she wonders?

UPDATE 03/31/13: This story is not dead. My current plan is to do one last minor revision to these chapters, then finish and publish Chapter 3. I know that there are a lot of people waiting for more of this story, and my last intent is to disappoint them. I will try my hardest to make it worth the wait.
