Twilight tries to find out why.

My own personal rewrite of the episode A Royal Problem. With Spike in Starlight Glimmer's place.

When Spike is called in for Royal Business to spend time with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, the two princesses have been getting rather angry at each other, both claiming the other doesn't know how the other feels when doing their job. So, the Princesses decide to switch places and see who has the better life, but what affect would this have on Spike?

A couple typos and things were fixed/edited.

This takes place shortly after Season 4.

Taking Place during season 4, the mane 6 have once again gone to the Crystal Empire leaving behind a very depressed Spike who wonders if his friends really are his friends at all. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna decide to take Spike with them on their personal one week vacation.

Spike has put up with a lot hasn't he? He's always had to be the sidekick to somepony else's hero. Well not anymore! Spike sets off on an epic journey Across Equestria, determined to finally be the hero he knows he can be. Along the way he will make new friends, allies, and dangerous enemies. Will Spike succeed and become a true hero?

Only one way to find out!

Spike wants to end his life but will certain people talk him out of it or will he go out with knowing that people that love him will miss him terribly

After Twilight's psychotic break involving the Want It, Need It spell, Princess Celestia banishes her former student from Canterlot Castle and severs all ties.

A young and emotionally tortured Twilight Sparkle refuses to face facts. The same insanity that pushed her to the brink when she made that unforgivable error in judgment now compels her to fix it. Twilight will stop at nothing to get back in Celestia's good graces.

No, that's not right. She won't stop there, either.

All her life she wanted children, now that she’s finally given what she desired for so long she’s never letting go of him and though they may not interact much in the public eye, they love each other with all their heart and will get through anything life throws at them. As mother and son.

Chapters are not connected unless otherwise specified, the romance tag is for both Spike and Celestia being involved with other creatures but each other, naturally. No Spike/Rarity and Celestia/Twilight, so don’t even ask but I’m willing to pair Celestia and Spike with anyone else, even their own genders.
