After all, raising a rapidly growing Cloud Chaser is NOT an easy task. But like all families they have their ups and downs. Rainbow Dash and Soarin learn how to be parents, but is the stress on top of other personal issues that Rainbow Dash keeps to herself to much for her to bare?! What really happened to Rainbow Dash's mother?!?! Why does she have the powers she has? And just who and what is this shape shifting shadow creature? What is he planning on doing to her family? And will she be able to stop him once and for all? And last but not least, where's Spitfire? Will she even show her face in this story? Or is this all trickery!? Stay tuned!

In this story Rainbow Dash learns what it truly means to suffer, when her life turns to the worst. She learns that sometimes you need to move on and let go in life. And that you can't force any pony to change. Rainbow Dash finally turns herself around when a certain newborn colt, Cloud Chaser, enters her life. She is determined to give him the life and family he deserves. The one she wishes so much she could have back! In this story Rainbow Dash learns what it means to be a mother like figure and to support a family, even through the ups and downs. Rainbow Dash learns what it means to make lifelong friends, and maybe even meet some pony who may even end up to be a little something more!

This story is a sequel to Storm of Emotions

After the turbulent events of the Royal Garden opening, Rainbow Dash and Soarin's friendship went on surprisingly well. With everything that happened, they could learn more and realize how much they are important to each other. Soarin even offered Rainbow Dash an opportunity to have weekly practices with him at the Wonderbolt Academy, which she gladly accepted.

With only a few days until the start of their training, they have an unexpected (and quite painful to Soarin) reencounter, that ends up taking both of them to the Ponyville hospital, where they learn a little more about each other.

As their weekly practices begin, their connection only deepens, making them question their feelings and contemplate the thought that, just maybe, their friends were right all along.

How did it all happen before their children were born? How did some of the Mane 6 find their spouses? How did the Cutie Mark Crusaders stay so close after these long 10 years? How did they... expose Rarity is being cheated on by her special somepony, Glowing Gem? Love is in the air... but a certain villain is coming to crash the party.

Note: Rated Teen for Cheating. (When it's rated everyone when cheating is involved, it doesn't really seem right to me.)

Rainbow Dash performs another Sonic Rainboom, which gives Soarin a flashback to when they first met and how important she really is to him.

This takes place between season 6 and season 7.
