Celestia decided to cave in to her younger sister's curiosity for Star Swirl's old magical technology. Now, she's temporarily stuck with Luna and Discord in energized space-time bubbles above Canterlot, forced to watch the most bizarre (and to a select few apparently, the most romantic) film ever made:

The history of Equestria, in reverse.

I wrote this to celebrate both my birthday and Valentines' Day today, and it's probably one of my most outlandish stories to date. Contains a tiny bit of Luna x Discord (Because why not?) Happy Hearts and Hooves Day!

Back during the whole "Blue Flu" incident, Twilight kept claiming that she was Discord's friend. However, a certain Draconequus couldn't help but notice a lack of sincerity in her tone. Is Twilight really Discord's friend? Or do some grudges never die?

Princess Twilight Sparkle has always been quite the student, even before she earned the title of Princess. However, her new responsibilities require some new knowledge; an idea of what Equestria was, what the world was before Order was established and the Princesses came to power. The problem is finding somebody who can teach these things.

If only there was some ancient being who had been through everything, who had been alive before the time of Order, before Princess Luna became Nightmare Moon, before King Sombra ruled over the Crystal Empire. Perhaps someone from the Era of Chaos, when Discord Draconequus had reigned over everything... But where in Canterlot Castle would they ever find somebody like that?

After his defeat at the hooves of the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony the stony figure of Discord was dragged far, far, far out of Ponyville where the good ponies could eventually forget the name of their tormentor...

...again.

But, it seems, as the months have passed some creature in Ponyville has not been able to put aside what had happened. Now, that creature approaches, and it seems as though he'd like a word with the immortal spirit of chaos...

Newly reformed and eager to put his magic to good use, Discord has decided to become a teacher and bask Equestria in the greatness that is his knowledge. Unfortunately for Celestia, he's decided she'll be his first student. Time for her to deal with a lesson about chaos theory. Hopefully she'll survive in time for the test.

Warning: You may actually learn something from this story. Or not. I'm bad at explaining things.

It's Sisterhooves Social time again. This year, Dash catches wind of two new competitors and gets Spike to bet on the race. When her team is revealed to be a rather famous set of siblings, it looks like poor Spike will be her slave for a week! However, due to a team of masseurs, a minor invasion, unfortunate addictions, and dubious barrel components, victory might not be as near as she thinks...

As Twilight Sparkle prepares for her coronation, she can't help but worry about what the future holds. Normally, this would be the time for a good book, perhaps a biography, to shed some light on how she should react to this sudden change in her life, but it seems no pony has have ever been where she is now.

With Celestia busy with coronation preparations, Twilight has no idea where to turn for advice, but this time, advice seems to have found her.

A side story of the pony pov series. It was intended as a world building journal entry, but it became too big for that. This is the story of Venus, and her son, Cupid. Cupid was the foal of the Alicorn Venus, back between the age of the Three Tribes, and Discord's rampage. He was a messenger of love. Now he no longer exists, it's like he never existed at all. What happened to him? Venus at last tells her side of the story in this interview quoted directly from her.
