Fluttershy managed to do the impossible. She's befriended Discord, the Spirit of Chaos, former evil overlord of Equestria and taught him that friendship is magic. However, in the aftermath of all this, the master of confusion finds himself completely baffled by one thing. One question that in his entire life he'd never desired to have an answer to; why? Why after so many eons, was friendship important to him?

Long before the time of the Mane 6, when Celestia and Luna were just young fillies and their parents ruled Equestria, Luna's fate unrolls like a scroll. It wasn't always sweetness and harmony in the land of ponies. Before such peace settled, there was rejection, fear, and grief.
Pain will fill the hearts of the innocent, and the guilty will get away with scandalous crimes.
Afterall, what is a life without a little chaos?

When Discord's long-lost Left Fang is in danger of being found, Equestria must choose its champions to venture into the unknown and protect what Discord lost long ago.

After complaining about how bored she was, Luna is forced to go learn how to make some friends by Twilight Sparkle. But is Luna going to get more then she bargained for?

What if Discord had won the battle against Celestia and Luna? What if Luna, being an angst filled soul, had joined forces with the demigod? In this alternate reality, would life still flourish in our beautiful, glorious world of Equestria? We explore that here, and though friends don't come in sixes and life lessons are learned at the end of every day, you can still have something beautiful in a place where what you thought was wrong is right.

I don't generally ship the characters who I decided to ship in this piece, but it happened. Sorry.

Princess Luna faces a difficult burden as she tries to find a way to save Equestria from Discord's reign of chaos. As her attempts to quickly find a way to best the Draconequus and free her sister from his control fails, she begins to consider a possible solution. To embrace that which she had become in the past, only this time for the good of all creatures. But is it worth the risk? Luna must quickly decide which path she will take in her quest to free Equestria, but she must be willing to face the consequences of her choices.

In one night, five of the mane mares get attacked by monsters. Twilight manages to save the others, but not without concequences. Now, the other five must find a way to overcome new lifestyles, living requirements, and instinctual rivalries. The only help they have is Discord's parting words.

Deep within the frozen arctic, the Crystal Tyrant revives his body and reconquers the Crystal Empire overnight, incapacitating both Shining Armor and Princess Cadance in the process. Sombra has also learned from his past mistakes, wreaking havoc when the Equestrians least expect it.

War is coming, and Sombra has no intention of losing a second time. It will take all the strength of Twilight, her friends, and many of their previous enemies to stem the tides of darkness and stop King Sombra once and for all. And this time, the Power of Friendship may not be enough.
