Sunset was still having a hard time making friends at Canterlot High. It wasn't until she ran into someone that was having a worse time than her that she decided to take that first step towards friendship that eventually grew into a closer and more personal bond.

Starlight Glimmer of the human world had a chance encounter with Trixie's magic shows. She thought the magician was pretty cute...cue asking her friends about her. Luckily Sunset and the others know her. Not...exactly well, but enough to guide her along.

There are sad bits, but there's lots more fluff than sad.

Now that Trixie’s marefriend, Starlight Glimmer, has also become her assistant, she is eager to show her just how thrilling life on the stage can be. Of course, she does have to go easy on the poor girl, so a small town where nopony should know of her that well should do nicely. There’s no way the ponies of Ponyville, a town surely so boring to have such a dull name, wouldn’t appreciate a lovely magic show from the Great and Powerful Trixie and her lovely assistant, right?

Starlight Glimmer witnesses Trixie's greatest show ever put on stage, and upon seeing her raw talent and grace she realizes something she had not been paying enough attention to. She has a crush on Trixie. But how will she tell her? Will telling her ruin their friendship? What should she do? Should she go ahead and risk everything to get her to be her special somepony? Or should she distance herself to spare their already strong bond?

It's a just a simple favor. Surely Starlight is more than capable of doing it. Especially if she's rewarded with Great and Powerful Cuddles.

Just a quick, simple little fic I wrote to write something quick and fun to just relax...because it's been SO long since I did that.

As the girls settle into a fun day at the beach, Sunset and Trixie get the opportunity to explore their newfound friendship. They soon discover a common thread that ties them together and, beneath the starry sky, they find the warmth and hope they had each been searching for.

This story takes place shortly after the events of Forgotten Friendship.
