Thank you! I'm looking forward to the contest as well. Hope you guys like my little scribbling.

it's interesting to see a Trixie truly in her element, actually accomplishing the great feats of showmareship she always brags about on the largest of stages. it makes sense that seeing that for the first time would make Starlight see her in a new light!

"Well, I want you to be part of my show. It's an invitation, if I'm going to shine bright above everypony else, I want my best friend with me."

really feel those Road to Friendship vibes here!

"You're right, how rude of me." Twilight replied. She then magically lifted a tiny bell and rang it. In a heartbeat, a servant appeared next to them. "Order away."

Twilight is really settling naturally into her rulership, it seems!

"Emotions are like a river, Starlight, positive and negative, they're all the same. They need to flow in order for your heart and mind to function in harmony, if you cut the flow of those emotions, you'll cause the river to stall and pool inside you. And if long enough passes, those emotions will force their way through your blockades, but the stalling will have corrupted them, and they could cause more damage than if you had allowed them to flow in the first place."

this does feel like a blend of Twilight and Celestia, with an echo of Zecora's speech from the Chrysalis timeline. A neat illustration of Twilight having learned the lessons of her life well, and making the canon future setting more established.

she hated herself for even coming close to considering mind magic spells, she knew it was wrong

glad to see Starlight finally learned this!

"I...yeah, I just figured, you know, I'd try the stairs. Very comfy stairs let me tell you. Ow...ow"

aww, poor Starlight!

There was no sound but the slow and soft hoofsteps of Trixie as she approached her.

very cute buildup to the moment! such a sweet, fluffy passage this, and very Trixie of Trixie to answer this way

Trixie chuckled. "Well, of course, what kind of weirdo would I be if I kissed you without forgiving you?" "Fair enough." They both chuckled in unison. In

and echoes of the end of All Bottled Up, wonderful

"Well, I see you guys have succeeded in yet another friendship lesson."

the best friendship lesson of all

the fear of a crush on a best friend not being reciprocated is very relatable, and that must be all the stronger for Starlight ,being as anxious and avoidant as she is, but it's a lot of progress for her, for this to not result in some sort of magic-induced disaster before resolving. it's a very good thing Twilight was there to help her along! and with that hint of clairvoyance you put in, i can't help but wonder if all this was deliberately set up by her somehow.

I really appreciate the comments, I'm glad I could be part of this competition; I'll try my best to make it higher next time

Ugh, this story is so good, and it sucks that i hate story plots like this because i would love it otherwise. I just get so irritated at the "character has crush on other character so they start ignoring them because of fear", because its like so stupid, the opposite of what you should do.

This isnt a rant about the story btw, just the trope in general. The story is really well written, good job!
