My name's Vinyl, or the one, the only DJ Pon-3! Or, at least that's who I used to be. That crazy, party hard, carefree pony who always stood behind the table and spun records is gone. I used to cry about that bygone age in my life, but now I see only to what's still in store; what else I can do with my life.
What, oh my turn. Yeah, I'm Octavia. You probably know me from when I played the cello, or maybe you know me from when I play on the corners. Either way I'm thinking of burning that stupid thing, the Friday night meals really aren't worth the trouble of keeping that thing stored. Brace down and buckle up as you are taken along on the wicked rollercoaster ride that is Vinyl's life. Stand beside her as she first learns of her talents as a musician. Hold her hoof as she braves whatever life throws at her while buskering on the streets of Manehatten. Cry with her as she faces old fears and overcomes new ones. Cheer and revel in her marriage and success. Laugh wholeheartedly at her comedic small mistakes and happenstances.

Most importantly however, understand the rocky and twisted road that shaped the DJ we have all come to know and love.

Princess Celestia is confused when she finds a love letter in her room, though she learns a little something from it.

This was written a long time ago, and I leave it up more as a reminder of where I started than as an example of where my skills are now. Regardless, hopefully you'll find this story to be an amusing waste of time.

The Harmony Games: a competition of gladitorial combat meant to promote harmony and friendship between the clans of Equestria. The idea that combat can promote friendship is idiotic to Twilight, like friendship itself. She doesn't have time to be playing children's games; there's a serious threat predicted and she has to find it before something catastrophic happens. How can 'friendship' possibly be of any use?
