Applejack and Rarity dated for years after high school, both remaining in Canterlot City as many of their friends moved away. Now Rarity plans for a very special date at Harmony, the most fashionable restaurant in the city. She's planned every detail to make for a perfect romantic evening, even down to Applejack's dress and hairstyle.

Applejack isn't so sure about that.

In the humble barn at Sweet Apple Acres, friends and family begin to assemble. Today is Applejack and Rainbow Dash’s wedding, and those in attendance expect a somewhat modest and subdued affair, considering the rustic aesthetic and calm surroundings.

Anypony foolish enough to actually believe that has clearly never met Applejack or Rainbow Dash. But it will definitely be a day to remember.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash are Canterlot High's most athletic, most competitive, and most stubborn students.
They're also the most oblivious.
Rainbow Dash is head-over-heels in love with her best friend, Applejack. Applejack has one hell of a crush on Rainbow Dash. And, naturally, neither one of them knows how the other feels.
Who knew saying 'I love you' could be so hard?
But they'll manage it in the end. And when they do, they'll go on to tackle the rest of the school year hand-in-hand, side by side. They'll laugh and cry; they'll be hurt and be healed; they'll live their life to the fullest with their best friends and encounter all sorts of surprises. They won't realize it, but their experiences - their love, their kisses, even their stupid competitions - will be documented by Pinkie Pie with her trusty camera, trying to immortalize the slow and sweet and sometimes stormy romance of her best friends.
And when she shows them her album at the end of the year, when they prepare to step out into the big wide world, Applejack and Rainbow will realize that, well...
It truly was their year.

Fluttershy and Applejack have been in a happy relationship for over a year now. When Fluttershy asks Applejack about moving in together, the earth pony has to reconsider how she really feels and whether she's ready for her relationship to get serious.

Applejack is a simple mare, who has always had simple aspirations for her life. One fateful day during a visit to the Ponyville hospital, Applejack is given news that will rock her world forever.

Needing somepony to tell the horrible news to, there's only one pony Applejack trusts this horrible news with. Upon sharing said news, she discovers she and her friend have more in common than she once thought.

While I wrote this story in response to The Last Problem, there are no spoilers in this story. This story has hints of romance but it is mainly a tragedy with some feel good in it. I hope you enjoy. I worked hard on this one.

Applejack still isn't talking to Strawberry Sunrise, but this unfriendly attitude of hers can't last. Every time she catches a glimpse of Strawberry while out at the Ponyville market, she's reminded of that day. Amazingly, they both decide at nearly the exact same time to make up with one another, and despite thoroughly disliking them, Strawberry Sunrise is even willing to share an apple just to make amends.

Since the two of them are also completely alone, and find themselves in an apple tree of all things, she's also even more tempted to offer Applejack an affectionate smooch.

How is one to react to one's world being changed? How should one react to losing what one holds dear? How do we cope? How do we move on?

Maybe we don't. Maybe we are meant to stay in our grief, and mourn for what was, and what never will be. Maybe we aren't meant to rise up, but to fall down.

What do we do? We stop. We don't try. We don't think. We grieve. We mourn. We break. We apologize. We cry.

We are so sorry...

Yet we have no control.

This is the first installment of my Heaven's Tears series.

Applejack is in trouble. She's going to lose the farm if she doesn't do something soon. She is losing money, yet she doesn't know why. She's beginning to stress out, and losing her ability to function.

To help deal with her stress, Rainbow Dash introduced her friend to something that will help her drown her sorrows... literally.

Alcohol.

But she never meant for her friend to go so far.

Things end up spiraling downwards, and soon, everything falls apart for our farm pony.

We hadn't needed the Elements of Harmony in a long time.
And she hadn't needed me even longer.

Things have fallen apart for Applejack. Her friends have moved on with their lives and the love of her life went with them. When she finally tries to patch things up, she realizes she may have waited too long.

The mirror showed a reflection, sure, but it was almost like looking at… a stranger.

Applejack struggles with an identity issue and finds solace in someone close. Although, things don't go quite as expected when the truth is revealed. Everything is fine, though. It has to be. Does it really count as lying if it’s to yourself?
