In Canterlot City, the city where Twilight Sparkle and her friends live, a new amusement park based on the world of cinema has just opened: "Equestria CineLand".

The Rainbooms get some tickets and, neither short nor lazy, they go to have a good time at the park.

They are all very excited at the prospect of riding the park's biggest attraction: the "virtual movie machine."
And when the Rainbooms agree to participate in the attraction... The curtain opens on a disturbing plan concocted by the park owner!

It is winter in Equestria, but for Second Lieutenant Gallus, he's instead of going to spend the holidays in Equestria or even Griffonstone. He and his loving hippogriff Silverstream are off to her home in Mount Aris to enjoy the Three Days of Freedom Celebration with her extended family.

Hippogriffs give each other gifts on the third day, and for their first holiday as a couple, Gallus wants to get the perfect gift for Silverstream. There is just one problem, that's easier said than done.

One is that Silverstream has a tendency to love everything in sight, what would be the perfect gift for some creature like that? Second, how can a simple griffon compete against Silverstream's Hippogriff Royal Family?

Despite all his denials, Flash Sentry has fallen hard for Twilight Sparkle. However, Twilight is already spoken for, and the last thing Flash wants is to be the guy that ruins her happiness. Unbeknownst to him, Twilight, for reasons that she cannot explain, isn't exactly happy in her current relationship, but she can't bring herself to break it off. What will happen to the two of them when the truth finally comes to light?
