Historians call it the Wailing Mountain. The locals call the surrounding desert Forbidden. Daring Do calls them both nuisances, annoying physical obstacles between her and a clean escape from her latest adventure-gone-south. Visiting this secluded peak, and learning why its resident’s screams echo across the sands, might change her mind.

The Suicide tag is being used only because the topic is mentioned.

Cranky Doodle Donkey has spent years searching Equestria for that special jenny he lost at the Grand Galloping Gala. He's been to cities far and wide, and searched from the peaks of the tallest mountains to the floors of the lowest valleys. He's seen it all, or so he claims. The roads are his and his alone, and the solitude is something he's simply grown used to.

Until one night, he discovers a filly hiding in a snowy hollow, scared, alone, and freezing to death...

If a tree falls in the forest, but nobody is around to hear it, does it still make a sound? If a Human is deposited in the middle of the Everfree Forest, and doesn't make it out alive, was he ever really there?

Most stories find our MC starting off in the dreaded Everfree Forest. but who's to say that plenty others didn't die in the very same forest?

Just a little something something to apologize for the wait for the next chapter of 1000 Years. it is complete, I am just waiting on a friend of mine to finish something for me related to the story. (no its not proof reading, I do all that myself.)

Twilight makes a trip across town in search of something to wake her up. Sometimes awareness is where we least expect it.

Warning: Contains unnecessarily verbose, overly-complicated, inscrutably dense literary self-indulgence.

Now in the process of being dissected in a series of blog posts—check them out if you'd like some help understanding the story:
Dismantling the Morning: Part 1
Dismantling the Morning: Part 2: Em-dashes and Dictionaries
Dismantling the Morning: Part 3: Breakfast on Bloomsday

All included satire is at the permission of the respective authors (allusions are another matter).

The town of Hollow Shades had been abandoned for a long, long time. With the recent defeat of the Pony of Shadows, Moondancer takes an interest in the place and manages to get Celestia to sponsor a trip there for her to try and acquire what's left of Hollow Shades' history.
Upon arrival, Moondancer thinks she's hit the jackpot early, and begins researching what she can from the scrolls and books left behind. Unfortunately, there's a sound on the wind, and she starts hearing things. Then, she starts seeing things.
