Grimlock was a Decepticon Gladiator in Kaon before he joined the Autobots. He formed a team called the lightning strike coalition force built out of other gladiators who all joined the Autobots. They were captured by the insecticons and were experimented on by the Decepticon Shockwave. When Grimlock broke free from containment, his rampage was so epic, he brought down an entire space bridge tower and killed a clone of Shockwave. However he was launched into space after the tower exploded and was never seen again.

A millennium later, he lands on the planet earth which is ruled by organic equine life. How will the brutish and slow minded Grimlock adjust?

The war between the Autobots and Decepticons ravaged their home world of Cybertron, four million years ago in a battle that lead to the loss of many lives the two factions landed on earth through a space bridge, now only recently reactivated their war has been reignited on our world. Several years into the conflict Decepticons have began to attack human resources at an alarming rate, prompting Optimus Prime to believe that they are building another space bridge. With Autobots and resources at an all-time low he reluctantly calls upon the aid of the Dinobots. In the cold land of Greenland Grimlock notices the monster that made him, the mad scientist Shockwave, losing all control he attacks him head on, sending Shockwave, himself and several other Decepticons through the portal. Now Grimlock is in a world full of colorful, magical ponies... THIS should be interesting...

There, he meets an inmate named Tirek who clearly seems to lack the ability to make logical decisions. So, he decides to converse with Tirek about the basic concepts of logic and how he came to the conclusion that becoming a Decepticon is more logical than remaining an Autobot in the first place.

Shockwave is a Transformers character owned by Hasbro and is voiced by Steve Blum. The story takes place during "The Cutie Map".

The Mare in the Moon has returned, and the dark power that created Nightmare Moon is awakening again with the aid of a magical Moonstone. The two princesses and the Mane Six must use the Elements of Harmony to banish the darkness once and for all. Meanwhile, on Prehistoric Earth an alien artifact identical to the Moonstone falls into Predacon hands. What does this mean? And what will happen when a rift in space is opened between the two stones, pulling the Transformers into the strange, new world of Equestria?
