A noble earth-pony family, fallen somewhat on hard times, is killed in a mining accident. They leave behind a single male heir, who is in sore need of a guardian, and of protection. Celestia takes the young pony under her wing and delivers him not to ponies - not earth, unicorn or pegasus - but to a dragon, an ambassador, an old friend of hers.

Playing a game which may just be deadly to the uninformed, the dragon decides that the one path open to him to ensure the safety of his charge and to carry out his sworn duty, is to adopt.

When Spike is rejected by the love of his life because he is a dragon, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to change that. So when a pony of questionable motives offers to change him into a stallion, Spike is more than willing to shake on it. This is sort of an experimental fic for me. I started writing this a few months ago when I was reading some darker stories from the period of Romanticism for my English class. It's experimental because, I'm trying to recreate the same style of literary writing from the period of Romanticism. Lots of emotion and spontaneity essentially. Whether or not this works, I don't know. This story is probably going to get a lot of hate because of this writing style but, if you would be kind enough to tell me what you didn't like instead of me just assuming you're a random troll, that'd be great.

Daring Do's amazing, adventurous life has come to a complete halt. Ahuizotl has seemingly vanished and Daring Do now has nothing to write about. She's been on plenty of adventures, so she could probably just make one up, but she has other things on her mind. Like the last adventure she went on, for example. That was the last time she or anypony else had seen Ahuizotl, and for some reason it bothers her.

Fed up with sitting around and doing nothing, she sets out to find Ahuizotl herself. As she heads through the remote jungles looking for him, she starts to wonder if she's doing this for her fans or for herself. What she may find, however, is something nopony could have predicted.

Daring Do had been searching for the Winter Pearl, rumored to have incredible power. But, when it is stolen by a new enemy she would have to join forces with her old and bitter enemy, Ahuizotl.

Twilight Sparkle has a secret: her mind is not hers alone.

King Sombra, tyrant of the Crystal Empire, was spared from his destruction. Twilight Sparkle welcomed his severed consciousness into her own, and began to learn from and hopefully teach the fallen unicorn. No one knows what she has done, and now fate has thrown a wrench into her plans.

Back in Ponyville after her coronation as Equestria's newest princess, Sombra refuses to ignore Twilight's new station in life.

While returning from a raid, Queen Chrysalis came across a strange egg in the middle of the desert sand. She took it with her and, for her surprise, the egg turned out to be a dragon's egg.

A sort of 'what if' story I thought up of. Let's just assume everything in the show went completely fine and according to story, except Spike wasn't there. Experimenting with first person fiction, be gentle. Tags added as they come. Also, the picture may not seem so, but he does have wings in the story. Just thought I would point that out.
