A young Celestia is tired of her life as a wanderer and longs for all the luxuries of home. She knows that she is ill-suited to the wilderness. Thoughts of discomfort always nag her, and all she knows how to do is put on a happy face. Her best friend Discord is unable to see anything but the best of her.

Maybe one day, she'll see all that too.

A griffon is a creature that has the head of a bird, the hindquarters of a feline, and many of the character traits of both mixed in. Some of those traits show more obviously than others, especially one side more than the other.

And guess who, as Gallus's roommate, has to put up with them?

Gallus came back home for a summer break. Griffonstone is changing, friendship is slowly growing and with it, comes prosperity. Thanks to him, Gilda and the friends they made here, his home is no longer the worst backwater in central Griffonia. But he's not the only one who noticed this sudden change in Griffonstone, and some griffons have questions...

(Some minor Equestria at War references, like names of countries, but takes place in main MLP canon and no knowledge of EaW is required to read it).
