Twilight's working on a new spell to get back at Rainbow Dash for her yearly Nightmare Night pranks. But things start to go wrong, and Twilight begins to wonder if this last spell is more than she bargained for.

Yet another sunny day blessed Ponyville, with Twilight Sparkle in the middle of another study session. She was in the middle of comprehending the consequences of repeated teleportation when Fluttershy knocked on her door. Answering the door, what Twilight saw shocked her; Fluttershy was flustered, panicked, saying something about the Everfree Forest. Twilight decides to investigate after preparing herself, but could possibly be out there that would bring Fluttershy to such a state?

This city is a real piece of work. Slums and suffering. There are murderers, kidnappers, and prostitution. And thats just the tip of the ice burg. This place will eat you alive, if you let it, but I intend to give it indigestion.

Rainbow Dash has dreamed of being a Wonderbolt for as long as she can remember. She's trained herself every single day to be better at her craft so she may one day join the team. But, when her dreams finally seem achievable and she is just about to reach out and grab them, a rumor breaks loose, leading to her goals slipping out of her grasp. Hopes and spirit gone, she must clear her name or forever have cheated dreams.

"Dammit, dad. I told you not to work in the mine! I told you you weren't strong enough! But did you freaking listen to me!? NO!" The poor black-coated pegasus cried over his dads fresh grave. He cried for a good few minutes before resuming his dialogue to his deceased father.

"No, I know it wasn't your fault. With mother gone, you had to do it in order to provide. It isn't your fault. It's.... IT'S....

This is a one shot. It is the first one I've ever written and it was done in one session.

Alexander suddenly finds himself in the world of Equestria without any explanation at all. He finds himself as one of the Pinkie Pie clones from the episode "Too many Pinkies" and staring at paint. He dares not move as he knows what's coming if he does. With only his knowledge of MLP:FIM and the memories of the clone he now inhabits he has to find a way to stay, while keeping the real Pinkie Pie out of danger as well.

This one, is a hard one.

Luna has always been the watcher of dreams for her ponies, and caretaker of their private fears. Over time, she has come to see many of the ponies of Equestria feel oppressed and downtrodden, and yet she can find no reason for it. Everything is perfect in Equestria. Or so it seems until Luna discovers a secret history Celestia has tried to bury - along with a series of philosophical manuscripts and political manifestos.

Apple Bloom is one of the many ponies feeling trapped in her life, and this manifests itself in her dreams. Luna, inspired by the ancient philosophies from Celestia's forbidden library helps Apple Bloom through her problems by taking her on as a student. Apple Bloom, true to form, decides to share these ideas with her friends.

Little do they know the repercussions...

Something I've been dabbling in for the last few months. First pony fic, and - quite frankly - it's rather unrefined. Mostly me exploring philosophy from pony's points of view. I don't know if the Lunar Republic and Solar Empire are "fanon" material with their own respective histories, so I just made my own rather than research it. Sorry to any fans of that AU if I've stepped on toes. Also, I'm trying to keep this politically neutral; that is, I'm not trying to make the Republic or Empire, or their respective philosophies, the "good guys" of the story. Think of this as a crack fic, if it helps.

This fic centers on the rise of the Lunar Republic and its secession from Equestria. I plan on making a sequel fic which focuses on Celestia's transition into Empress of the Solar Empire, probably lamely titled "The Empire". Anyway, tell me what you think. Really let me have it. Also, I wasn't sure what category to put this in; it's not really dark, but it's not much else either. Any tips there would be appreciated.
