Huge shout out to Night wolf-pony for his amazing drawing of my OC · 2:58am Aug 9th, 2018

So, a little while ago, Night wolf-pony/Dashkin The Vectorist did a limited offer to do a few free drawings of people's OCs to practise his art style. I was one of the lucky few he accepted, and the result is absolutely stunning! I love it!

About Me

Who are you?

I'm an Australian Brony who has a passion for filmmaking as an artform. I also love the Brony community and one of my favourite aspects about it is the creativity. The amount of talent that's within the fandom is incredible and I love seeing what bronies can create. This includes Fimfiction.

Why did you decide to call yourself 'AusFlick'?

Coming up with a name for myself was incredibly tricky, but I ultimately stuck with AusFlick, and here's why. I was looking for keywords that had significant meaning to me personally. Those who know me will know I'm obsessed with movies, so I wanted something film related in my name, cause it's a huge part of who I am. This is also why I chose a Film Reel and a Clapperboard for the Cutie Mark on my OC. This is where the 'Flick' part of my name comes in. As for the 'Aus' part of my name, I just decided to stick with that since I'm Australian and I'm proud of the country I live in.

What's your real name?

I'm unwilling to reveal my last name but my real first name is Corey.

How old are you?

I am 18 years of age.

What kind of music do you like?

I'm not always genre specific. I like orchestral stuff from time to time, such as movie scores. However my favourite genre of music is hard rock and occasionally metal. Some of my favourite songs include but are not limited to Toxicity/Chop Suey!/B.Y.O.B./I-E-A-I-A-I-O by System of a Down, Tears Don't Fall by Bullet for my Valentine, Out of Control by Hoobastank, Monster by Skillet, and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana.

I also love certain meme songs like We Are Number One, All Star by Smash Mouth, and my personal favourite, Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley.

What is your favourite movie?

My all-time favourite movie is without a doubt 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day.'

Who is best pony?

I see 'Best' pony and 'Favourite' pony two different things, so I'm going to state both. In my opinion, Twilight Sparkle is 'best' pony mainly because she's the most developed character in the show, and I really love how she has a character arc about leadership that is told gradually throughout the entire show. Between the beginning of the show, and where we are so far, Twilight has completely changed, but the changes she made were very gradual.

My 'Favourite' pony would have to be Rainbow Dash. My main reason is because I'm attracted to her high speed nature and she is one of the characters that does the best job at breaking out of the mould of the type of character you'd expect to see in a show of MLP's nature.

How did you discover the show/join the community?

The show was everywhere I went, and it still is. No matter where I went, My Little Pony was there. It was impossible to avoid and it drove me nuts, but due to the craze and the movie which was coming out, I decided to give the show a watch to see what all the fuss was about. I thought the show was fantastic, and I also did a ton of research on the fandom, and I instantly fell in love with it.

Do you still watch the show?

Yes I do. I started watching the show back in April 2017, and as of now, I've seen every single episode (some I've seen multiple times) I've seen all four Equestria Girls movies, and I've seen the Tales of Canterlot High shorts on Netflix.

What's your favourite episode of the show?

My favourite episode is 'Read It and Weep,' but I also like 'It's About Time,' 'The Cutie Map,' 'A Canterlot Wedding,' and 'Twilight's Kingdom'

What's your least favourite episode of the show?

My least favourite episode is 'Power Ponies,' I personally despised that episode for several reasons, but I mainly thought the concept was really dumb, and it's a severe deterioration to what the rest of the show is actually like. I also wasn't a huge fan of 'Filli Vanilli' and 'Putting Your Hoof Down.'

What's your favourite Fimfiction?

My favourite Fimfiction is by far Fallout: Equestria by Kkat. I havn't finished reading it yet, but I think the story is really well written for what it is. Most crossovers I've seen suck, and Fallout: Equestria some how managed to have the strong contrast between My Little Pony and Fallout, and yet managed to combine the two into a story that actually makes sense. The world is clearly very well planned and thought out, I love the main characters, and overall, I just love it.

I'm also a fan of The Friendship Test purely because I love the psychology behind the Mane 6, and seeing how they reacted to this messed up situation Starlight has put them in.

What did you think of 'My Little Pony: The Movie'?

In short, I really liked it. I thought it was a really fun movie that was very respectful to the original source material. I thought the animation was beautiful, the music was pretty good and I felt like they did justice to the show. I thought the voice acting was excellent, and I found the movie to be quite funny. I had a few issues with it like the villain 'The Storm King' to be a really weak villain, but overall I really enjoyed the film.

Are you active anywhere besides Fimfiction?

Yes, I am. I have a YouTube channel that is also called AusFlick, and while I don't really have much content on it quite yet, I do hope to be making videos for that channel in the near future. I also have a separate YouTube channel I upload with quite frequently called 'Corey's Reviews:' where I review movies, both old and new. On that channel, I have done an hour and a half long review for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but apart from that and a review for the movie, the content on Corey's Reviews: is not MLP related. That's what I started AusFlick for. Be sure to check those channels out if you want to see more from me outside of Fimfiction.

What movies/shows are you into besides MLP?

My favourite genre is action. I love action films, so some of my favourite franchises are 'Terminator', the 'Die Hard' movies, the 'Mission: Impossible' movies and so on. I also love the action film 'Speed' starring Keanu Reeves. There are a few classics I love such as 'Back to the Future' and 'Star Wars.' I absolutely adore the 'Harry Potter' series, I own all 7 books and all 8 movies. I love certain Disney and Pixar films like 'Inside Out' and 'Zootopia.' I also love this obscure claustrophobic thriller called 'Cube.'

If you have any more questions, be sure to PM me, and I'll be sure to answer it, provided that it's not too personal.

The AusFlick Timeline

I try my best to keep each of my stories stand alone, however upon creating some of them, I have generated an idea that allows a good portion of my stories to all co-exist within the same timeline. Each story within said timeline all co-exist and play one part of a gigantic story arc, and they are all connected. Here's a list of all of my Fimfictions that feature in this timeline if you wish to read them in chronological order. More will be added to it as more of my Fimfictions are released.

Hi ArtistFire. What's up?

Hi my name is ArtistFire

There, I just fixed it.

No it's not. The weird thing is that it shows twice on the side of my main page, but if you go to my blog list, it only shows up once. Why this happens, I have no idea.

By the way, I noticed you have your latest blog appearing on your user page twice. Is that on purpose? :rainbowhuh:

Thanks for the watch, you amazing reviewer you! :yay:

I'm flattered that you liked my About Me section to the point where you want to replicate it. Please feel free.

Yeah, I absolutely adore Terminator 2. I've seen it countless times on DVD, I've seen multiple cuts of it, I saw it in 3D in cinemas just last year despite the fact I had already seen it, just so I could experience it on the big screen (funny enough, it was the exact same auditorium I saw the MLP movie in) and I recently just bought the Blu-ray. To say I like it is definitely an understatement.

I haven't seen Insidious 4 because I just don't really watch horror films. It's not really my genre. I've only seen a couple, and they were hits and misses for me.

Glad to know there are other people out there who've seen it, but yeah, I loved Cube. I mainly loved it for it's set design, it's intriguing concept, the suspense and tension I felt throughout the running time, the fact the characters weren't stupid, the complete lack of cheap jumpscares, and most of all, I loved it for its ambiguity. I loved how it had me asking questions on who or what built the Cube, and what the true intentions behind the Cube are. These things were left open, so it kept me thinking about. If you read my debut Fimfiction Trapped!, you'd probably see some Cube inspiration in there with the whole ambiguous thing, but I do admit I went a bit overboard with that story.

I have to say, I'm impressed by the About me section.
I might copy the format except for the favorite movie part.

Terminator 2 was awesome, saw it at least twice.
Once in the movies and then I brought it home to show the folks.

Just saw Insidious, the last key on DVD.
My local library might solve my Blockbuster cravings.

Insidious 4 was alright, not that scary but I do like how they spent the time on the chars.
There are some interesting ideas to play with.
Not sure if I'm going to use that with MLP.
Yet.

I also love this obscure claustrophobic thriller called 'Cube.'

Someone else saw that?
That was one bizarre movie, saw that years ago.
