I still think this story doesn't quite fit in with the site, but as I haven't anything else to publish and it's been going on for too long, I've decided to keep on publishing it after all. Trigger Warning in some of the chapters.

Princess Celestia, beloved ruler of Equestria, a very small country, won't be able to keep her position for more than a few years, due to her poor health condition. A solution is quickly find to garantee the handover of power within the princely family and that is to have her son, Soarin, married (or at least engaged).

If he can't find a girl he wants to marry, one chosen for him before he was born, by the former Ruling Prince, his grandfather, will be his betrothed.

What does it have to do with Rainbow Dash, his school's steeplechase champion, then? Well, probably almost everything!

Everything would be for the best if her new (and first) boyfriend hadn't been the new superstar of Equestrian adventures flicks for teenagers. No less.

Oh, it sure sounds like a fairy tale... But it rather looks like a romantic comedy turned evil.

Back then, she thought that her existence couldn't make a difference. She had wanted to die and failed, and had to go a long way before thinking it was only for the best...
After watching "It's A Wonderful Life" with Soarin, Rainbow Dash goes through a strange experience in which she has a glimpse of what her world could be like without her in the picture...

After a long lasting war which has ended by the death of many men, brought down by a deadly virus, the only remaining country of the West Continent, Equestria, has been organized into seperated cities and town, surrounded by fortifications, called Ghetto. The Ghetto of Canterlot have been destroyed almost completely and Sunset Shimmer needs the best remaining soldiers to help her preventing from another disaster from striking the land.
But in that merciless land without laws, where it's everybody for themselves, will she and her team be able to defeat the plans of the leader of the Hive, determined to gain the absolute power over Equestria's inhabitants? Will their efforts be enough? Is there any chance for this flower, this last flower, to grow and bloom again?
