Before becoming superstar of the Wondercolts Basketball Team at Canterlot University, Soarin had been eight years-old. A skinny and softy kid who only wanted to play soccer with the children of his age. The little boy other little boys mocked.
Thankfully, even a skinny softy rejected boy can find his best playmate. Only, it takes an expected form: six years-old, bratty with magenta eyes and rainbow hair.

Part of the Truth About Girls universe

Chapters (1)

You don't know why you meet some persons. You just meet them and that's all. Maybe it was destiny, maybe people aren't on your way by accident. Even the most demure ones will eventually learn how to enjoy life with the others. With a little bit of luck, love will come along with friendship. Sometimes, the past interferes too.
With a little bit of luck, you'll go through it all with very few scratches. Yet it would be necessary to want it bad enough....

Couldn't find a cover with convincing humanized versions of both Pinkie and Big Mac together, sorry :twilightsheepish:

Soarin Skies expects nothing from life nor from those around him, nor from himself. He has fifteen years-old and is impervious to everything. Yet his family expect a lot for him and he has to succeed if he wants to honor them. This is why he joins the prestigious Crystal Prep High School where he meets Rainbow Dash, a gifted girl who thinks everything's so easy that nothing has a taste anymore. A bond is going to weaver between them and gets stronger and stronger, until the night where Rainbow Dash is going to confess...

(Okay, you have to activate your suspension of disbelief here to imagine Dashie as a gifted in, em, mathematics, but once that's working, I hope you're going to be able to enjoy this story )

TO BE PUBLISHED ON SATURDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS UNLESS NOTIFIED OTHERWISE

I still think this story doesn't quite fit in with the site, but as I haven't anything else to publish and it's been going on for too long, I've decided to keep on publishing it after all. Trigger Warning in some of the chapters.

It's been a year now that Rainbow Dash studies at the Canterlot Academy of Music. She lives in a small youth hostel, where one day, a quite improbable mishap makes her meet another resident, Soarin, who she quickly gets infatuated with. Everything would be for the best if her new (and first) boyfriend hadn't been the new superstar of Equestrian adventures flicks for teenagers. No less.

Oh, it sure sounds like a fairy tale... But it rather looks like a romantic comedy turned evil.

Back then, she thought that her existence couldn't make a difference. She had wanted to die and failed, and had to go a long way before thinking it was only for the best...
After watching "It's A Wonderful Life" with Soarin, Rainbow Dash goes through a strange experience in which she has a glimpse of what her world could be like without her in the picture...
