While visiting Griffinstone with Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and AK Yearling (Daring Do), Megan is told by Gilda and Gabby about the Idol of Boreas and how it was lost. Megan gathers the ponies and tells them they are going to get the idol and bring back their hope and pride. They hang-glided down using the winds in the abyss, only to discover that Ahuizotl and his cats are there too. Monsters called the Aramaspi take both the heroes and the villains by surprise, leaving Megan, Daring Do, and Fluttershy trapped in a cave with Ahuizotl and his cats. While they wait for Rainbow Dash to get help, Ahuizotl decides to tell how he became the villain he is and how his father was involved.

A stallion is knocking fruit carts down and has a hatred against the Apple Family. Grand Pear says that he is Peary Bits, his youngest son and Applejack's uncle. From there, Grand Pear tells the Apple Siblings and Megan about what happened after he left his daughter and what led him to his reformation and Peary Bit's anger.

Spoiled Rich has ordered Diamond Tiara to uninvite a blue-collared friend from school when she invited him to her party. Catrina and Rep set her down and tell her the story of how they met and how their love and friendship had overcome the prejudices and hatred between their families.

It's Fluttershy's Birthday, and Thorne and Discord are scrambling to make gifts for her. When a feud resulted in color wands messing up Rarity's shop, they have to work together to repair the damage.

The Mane 6, the Knights, Megan, and Discord are invited to the Midsummer Theatre Reopening, hosted by Coco Pommel and Coloratura (Rara). Things are going well until accidents start happening at the Midsummer Theatre, like scaffolds falling, snakes found in the popcorn, and the costumes literally falling apart at the seams. All hooves point to Discord when they found evidence leading to him.

Rarity puts her detective cap on to clear Discord before he is set for trial. What she and Megan find will point back to four familiar ponies from the past.

Megan is enjoying life in Ponyville while living with the Apple Family. The Mane 6 (minus Rainbow Dash) are handling a manticore problem, while Megan and Rainbow Dash receive word that Ahuizotl has captured Daring Do and is preparing to take her to Tambelon. They set out to rescue her, but Megan winds up kidnapped by Cabelleron and his flunkies. Now the Mane 6 have to rescue Megan, Rainbow Dash, and Daring Do before they are taken straight to Grogar.

Grogar sends Jet, a lizard spy known for using Shadow stones for cancelling magic, to steal the Star of Worlds, a star with the power to transport the user to any world, after Twilight is entrusted with it. When Jet steals it, Sweetie Belle tries to stop him, causing the star to take them to a human world that is not Canterlot High. While there, Sweetie Belle makes a new friend in Megan Williams, a local farm girl, who helps Sweetie Belle get home, and leads Megan on the adventure of a lifetime.

Thorne finds out about how afraid Fluttershy is of Nightmare Night. He sees it as an opportunity to go on a date with her while Discord is away on business for the Princesses. As he takes her out to a Nightmare Night she won't forget, Discord returns early and becomes infuriated when he hears what Throne is doing, leading the Knights and Mane 6 on a chase.

After the gala incident, Discord has earned more frowns from ponies who don't trust him, Diamond Tiara included. Fluttershy decides to take him, Tree Hugger, and the Smooze to dinner to cheer him up, but when he still feels depressed. Fluttershy decides to take her to the one place she knows will cheer him up and bring the two closer.

During a camping trip with the CMC and their sisters, Scorpan, Thorne, and Rep recount their days at Tambelon's School of Knighthood, from earning the Medallion of Knighthood to overcoming Ahuizotl's bullying. It also tells how Scorpan and Tirek became brothers, and features Tambelon's true king: The Moochik
