Cute. Very Cute! A little short perhaps, but very enjoyable all the same. Thanks for writing!

Awww a sweet story

This feels like it could've been an actual FiM short.

I guess I enjoyed it for the short. Wish it was a little longer though.

Yeah, I've gotten that a few times, blame the contest rules for why it's so short.

"Starlight?..." Scootaloo called out for the lilac unicorn.

"Ya here?..." Carried on Applebloom.

"We need your help!..." Finished Sweetie Belle.

aww that is exactly how the CMC talk!

"That's why we want yer help, we heard how much of a kite enthusiast you were, and we figured if anypony could help us it would be you," said Applebloom.

so true, she really likes kites!

As they progressed, the kite steadily grew larger and larger, threatening to overtake the library. Fortunately, they were able to fold it in places, freeing up space, as well as making it easier to transport.

whoa, that is a huge kite!

She smiled as she took in the wide variety of designs on display for this year's contest: from dragons to abstract shapes and designs, to even the princesses - choosing a winner was not going to be easy.

aww would love to see the kites in the shapes of the Princesses

Starlight smiled again as she returned the hug with the fillies. "Like I said girls, it was my pleasure."

aww, cute! glad the CMCs got to win the competition and Starlight got to build kites again. thank you for writing!

Next, after making sure that Twilight wouldn't have a use for it, they then secured the castle library for their space.

You really expect me to believe Twilight wouldn’t use her library for days on end? :raritywink:

A cute story, but rather basic. Here’s the intended goal, here’s them working on it, here’s the end result. Well crafted, but it doesn’t really stand out from the crowd. (Though the strict word limit, it’s not like you could have made it notable through sheer size. :derpytongue2:) Still, thank you for the entry.

You really expect me to believe Twilight wouldn’t use her library for days on end?

You're right, that is the most unbelievable part of the story.
