YEAHHH i liked this one, glad its up!!!

That without the sun, Equestria could still grow its crops with pony magic, but that wasn’t the case for other creatures.

A good point! And logical consequences.

She was hardly the first pilgrim to brazenly burst through those castle doors in full costume,

Ha! (re: Twilight in the alternate timeline episode). :twilightoops: :pinkiehappy:

Oof. That quiet resignation and despair, desperately staying in the niche the Nightmare has carved for Rarity when this timeline’s Twilight couldn’t take it anymore…

Devastating stuff. Well told in both presenting the perspective and hinting at what Rarity doesn’t let herself think about. Thank you for it.

This was a nice little story. It was interesting seeing bits of how the Nightmare Moon timeline developed in the future, and Rarity's resignation was sad to see. I wonder if Nightmare Moon only started executing people in the forest to make it seem like her losing Twilight there was totally deliberate.

thank you for the comment! the relationship between Equestria's sun and those living outside of it always seemed like it should weigh a lot more than was shown in the show

thank you for the comment! bridging the gap between the characters we know and love and the loyal servants of Nightmare Moon in that timeline raised a lot of questions, and this was my way of resolving it for Rarity

There's something about how you write that is so warm and delicate, even with tales of estrangement. I really like your voice, this piece was delightful poetry, which I need to read again because even if short, it left a lingering impression. Slowly reading all the entries here, even if I don't own a printed anthology of them.
