Great job with this! I run a group about uncommon siren ships, and I think Celestia is wonderful, so this story very much caught my eye. As a ship it works, because Adagio's poise and maturity easily compensates for the age difference between the characters. It's interesting here how they focus less on what they have in common as characters and more on their suitability for relationships in general. I think you really captured Celestia's acceptance of being alone as something she had feelings about but had come to terms with a long time ago. Reading her POV was lovely and gave the whole story a kind of dignity it would've lacked with anyone else.
I also have to compliment the M-rated bits for being aimed firmly at sensuality rather than titilation. There was never a sense that the character interactions were being interrupted for a porn break, or that the rest of the story was just a framing device to get to write the characters in the bedroom together.
That said, I hate hate hate Adagio's dialogue! I think it’s ok for me to state my dislike that strongly, because it’s clearly down to a conscious choice on your part rather than lack of ability, so I think it’s fair game to criticise. The constant, direct coming on to Celestia makes Adagio come across like Roger Moore in his 70s hitting on an assistant ⅓ of his age. The ‘dears’ and ‘darlings,’ likewise, give Adagio far more of an older, lecherous vibe. The problem with that kind of open propositioning is that it’s very easy to turn down, and, even though Adagio eventually does sleep with Celestia, she still spends most conversational exchanges having her advances rebuffed. Also it’s almost always going to make people uncomfortable rather than draw them in.
So my objection is that Adagio should be smoother than that. She’s the sort to not even state aloud what she’s after until her getting it is imminent and unavoidable, so that her getting what she wants seems effortless. I found on several occasions I had to take a break from the conversation scenes and go do something else for a while, because Adagio’s lines were just that awkward.
I did really like the story though. I will check out some of your others

I wanted Adagio to *be* blatant, honestly. Open infatuation works well on lonely people from what I've seen in reality. Wanted to convey that. Fair enough if you don't like it, struggled for pet names.

I really liked the emphasis on sensuality rather than carnal description. Adagio was wonderfully seductive, and the tension of 'what does she really want?' Kept me hooked. I can only hope she's sufficiently manipulative/sorta-caring to keep her new pet happy throughout what comes.
I wouldn't really call this a 'ship' given that the romance is one-way, but it's a 'pairing' I do love to see. :3
this was amazing, as always ur narrative voice is just incredibly skillful and engaging, enhancing an already awesome sex scene to the point of art! absolutely loved this!!! i know its probly a 1-shot but it does read at the end like there coudl be more to come if u wanted it, so i hope its not presumptous to hope, as i do with the fluttershy x chrysalis story, to see this continued someday. great stuff!!!!
