Quite a touching chapter. Many things happens in the epilogue and brings closure to most side characters mention in this story. Nice to see that the hero lives in this story. Now what I have to ask is what happens now, for time will tell when you make another story-or-not on this series. Bravo man /handclaps/, it was a nice read.

Beautiful, yes absolutely beautiful, and I actually like how Proteus reminded the citizens of Ponyville how they treated his mother, oh and the jab at Twilight's parents, if they were alive and didn't love her anymore because of something SHE couldn't control well, hopefully if they live in Canterlot Fancy Pants' distaste for them would suffice. Thank everything that is sacred for this happy ending for Proteus and Selene.

3593587 The incest is a tad iffy, but at the same time, they grew up completely separate, and if they didn't have the publicity that they had about who their parents were, nobody would have known that they were related. And even then, the relation is a bit obscure due to circumstance.

I guess what I am saying is that if nobody knew they were half siblings, nobody would care, and it wouldn't really matter.

Read all the way through, and I really liked it. Although, even though I wish the previous story ended happier, this story made up for it in a very pleasing way.

This was a truly awesome and lovely story you wrote. I enjoyed both this one and A Guard For The Queen. The incest was surprising but an interesting plot point nonetheless. Pretty sad Twilight died of cancer but at least she's in a better place now with Strong Heart and Chrysalis. Wonder if Shining Armor & Cadence made it up there too despite what they did in the first story. Truth be told while they did some pretty evil things in the end they were still very good ponies in their life so that might outweigh the bad. I can easily imagine them being punished by the 2 for their actions before letting bygones be bygones and all.

Anyway given the ending and the comments what are the chances we might see a sequel with Spike & Celestia and/or Stone Shield & Luna? You pretty much set things up by mentioning that. And if you ever need ideas, well we could all pitch in maybe and offer some. Heck seeing a spinoff taking place in the afterlife would be neat as we could see what everyone is up to since the tragedies in these 2 stories and how proud they are of their children and all.

I know this is an old fic but I had to put a response in. I thought they were gonna have a fight to the death glad I was wrong. Twilight dies that one got me but at least it was a happy ending. If slightly incestuous.
