I dunno, Goris, for some reason everytime he gets put in the hospital, I feel the urge to see him and Nurse Redheart to get into an actual relationship. Like, it would start out with her hating him and ruining his life further, (like she is now), but slowly she'd start to pity him a bit more and be a bit nicer with each visit. It wouldn't even have to be described in great detail, just make it about the length of the little hospital blurb at the end of this story.
Or you could keep having him be cock-blocked in the most hilarious of ways. That's cool too.

That just gives me an image of the protagonist biting the dust after getting in too deep, and meeting up with Grim. Only for Grim to mention that he's going to allow him to go back to his usual living state, because watching him screw up is too much fun. Of course Grim, gives him amnesia. So the protagonist doesn't ever remember the encounter.

That's actually something I'd like to do, although so far it seems more like the encounters are getting even more cruel and painful each time rather than less cruel/painful.
