This story is a sequel to My Little Mages: Omitted Tie
Near the start of the term break of Princess Twilight's School of Friendship, and after the event in Four Castles amusement park, it's Sunset's birthday and Sci-Twi had decided to celebrate it with a cruise and had invited Princess Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie and Rainbow.
However, Rainbow, having not bested the last two baddies, is looking for some more excitement then what everyone else had planned.
Yet there is a storm on the horizon...one that seems odd

Also, how are Sunset and Sci-Twi going to get around the law that doesn't involve Flash torpedoing his own plans? I mean, I know in this setting, men were allowed multiple wives and mistresses, but I'm not comfortable poly-shipping baby boy.

The implication on Lemon and Indigo's part is that Dash needs... how to put it... her farm plowed with an actual plow. As for everyone else, the joke has kind of run its course for the moment.

I mean, he's strong, protective, romantic, and a total sweetie, but isn't giving him a harem a little much? Not that I think you're actually giving him a harem. It's just that quite a whole lot of girls seem to want him for some reason or other. 
Three, when is Pinkie going to get a slice of that cake? 
One, Flash was strangely absent from this chapter, which is even weirder given that one, his sister is present and he laments about not spending enough time with her, and two, Juniper, Wallflower, and Starlight showed up and they weren't even in the source material. Two, how did Flash suddenly become the most desirable male human specimen in Mystica?

How to begin... 1) well, Flash is mister not appearing in this chapter. That's all I can say without spoilers. As for the other characters... they are the Cameo Sisters
2) It steams to reason that Juniper bumped into Flash and his gentleman behavior makes him perfect for the role she intends to cast him in. And only Sunset and Twilight are directly attracted to him, Sci-Twi just liked what she heard about him as a person.

Wouldn’t Trixie’s show be more popular? Given here she has the being the whole hero thing and is more well known.
Would this version of Rainbow really act like this? EQ had the point of her being a teen and not have the same experiences that pony Dash had while this one does. I bring that up cause Dash here shouldn’t be trying to make something happen to be a hero cause of the whole Mare-Do Well thing and also she’s been on tons of adventures over what EQ Dash has so should she still be wanting more?
And also it’s still wild and funny how the Tree just wait “mmmm, ok, you can use us for what is a selfish reason”

Okay, let's break this down.
Being a well-known hero and a popular magician/illusionist is not mutually inclusive. You can be one and not be the other.
1) You are assuming that there was a 'Mage-do-well' story in this AU (I don't recall even mentioning one), and even after that episode in the show, Rainbow is still motivated, to some extent, by fame
2) Rainbow has always sought action, especially when inaction was the correct approach, she's gotten better over the ... I want to say five to six years of the story, but she's still mostly implosive (see the later entries)
3) Even the pony Rainbow was still a show-boat at the end of the series proper
1) You are assuming that the Tree has any say in what actually happens once the Elements are removed, the fact of the matter is that it doesn't
2) You are assuming that the Tree has any say with the Rainbow of Light, which it doesn't
