Yeah, I can see several reasons...
Although I must admit I cracked up at the sheer bluntness of "Princess Luna is too dumb to raise the sun by herself. I trust that you are able to Twilight.", though probably for all the reasons not intended by the author (also, I remembered when Twilight tried to raise the sun back in the Tirek episode and I started to wonder just how bad Luna must be at this...
