One of the reasons I love this story is because you, Raugos, instead of nitpicking the Royal Wedding episode, write awesome fanfics explaining things like the absence of Princess Luna and the Guards during the wedding. It's incredibly refreshing to see someone do that sort of thing, instead of bitching. So darned awesome. :D
The banter between Hammer and Anvil is as hilarious as ever. Tufty and Baley are cool, too. And those last three sentences made me laugh very hard. You're also doing a great job of writing Chrysalis/Cadance as the bratty mare she was in the show. Continue writing awesomeness!

I'll have to admit that I was a little put off when I thought about what seemed to be missing in the finale (only after I got over how awesome it was, of course!). Though, it's pretty understandable, considering the time constraints they have to work with. Makes one wonder what the team would really be able to do if they made a full-length movie.

Waited for Anvil and Hammer to kick ass but got left with a cliff hanger.... well you did say they aren't the main characters but that doesn't mean they aren't the best

Anyway, I guess I didn't write that part because I didn't feel like the details of Chrysalis' infiltration was a hugely important plot point. I'm not saying that it isn't; it just didn't occur to me. 
Hmm, you do have a point there about Cadence. Why didn't I think of that before?
As for the initial threat, that was in the fourth paragraph of chapter 1. Shining Armour just got some rumours of an army heading in Canterlot's direction. Again, I didn't want to spend too long on that bit because it didn't feel like it would add much to the story.

I know it can't be canon, but somewhere I saw a picture of Luna with a sniper rifle during the invasion and I couldn't get it out of my head as I read the last part.
In my headcanon it is a very bad idea to invade that tower for several reasons.
