I read them to get a sense of perspective, because I don't understand this, not really, I get the basic idea but I don't understand why or how. And I like to know those things, after all understanding is the basis of empathy and I'm not the most empathetic person around. Also love the worldbuilding, really like the idea of the Clocktower Society.

I think this is an interesting story so far. I like that this is also taking about the how the relationships work, like how Poky is taking a very controlling role in the lives of the other members of the herd, and how there will be adjustments to come in their life styles for when they will finally have foals in the house. I am looking forward to see more of this fic.

I always hated the whole "nosebleed from arousal" thing.
If you get regular bleeding from being aroused, you:
A- Need some immediate medical attention because you've got the blood pressure of a 65 year old who's in the mid 250's on the BMI scale (IE, 5 foot 2 inches, weighing 1,400 lbs) in need of scheduling his 3rd quadruple-bypass surgery, and it's a miracle you haven't exploded like an over-inflated water balloon.
B- Have taken a near-fatal dose of pharmaceutical grade blood thinners.
C- Have such an extreme case of sickle cell anemia that someone should be on the phone with the guys at the Guinness Book of World Records (seeing as how you've survived long enough to develop a sex drive, thus miraculously defying all logic).
Or D- Have absorbed enough radiation that you shouldn't have functional eyes, working hair follicles, or still-coherent DNA.
In short, it's utterly ridiculous to expect this from any person healthy enough to survive reproducing.

I find it more likely that they think their master is wasting his time with pointless things. It's obvious he invest a large amount of time and energy into those food tables, water calculations and other health maintenance. I would think most masters would see that as a complete and utter waste of time that could be better spend doing more fun things. It is a little silly how detailed he is, for example having so many variables with the water intake is a little ridicules. He can just put it very high so that they have always enough. Maybe two different numbers, one standard and one for hot days.
I couldn't quite follow it when she was on that 'wedge' just what does that mean and in what position was she? When writing clop scene's like this you need to be extremely accurate with your descriptions.
