What about asking about how violent this story will be? Did I already ask that?

Depends on your definition. There is zero bloodletting in this story, but you will see a couple of highly sexualized one-on-one fights, and Midnight isn't exactly asking permission for what she does to her classmates. But never once does she physically hurt someone. In fact, she takes pains to make sure that doesn't happen.

This is a good improvement over the previous version of the chapter. I haven't got much else to say that I didn't by the other version.

No problem. That readers think it's better is pretty much all I wanted to hear, thanks.

Minor note: I'd argue that SolelySupporters would work better as a twist on our world's version.

I decided you were right, so I changed it to that in the new version of the chapter.

I'll be honest, I'm glad we're moving past this, because "Enter the Griffons"—and I think that at this point we can say that they have very thoroughly entered and been entered—has taken half of the story's word count thus far, and it just isn't what I came here for.

I know, and I just wanted to apologize again. You'll see this addressed directly (if in a rather meta fashion) in the next chapter. :ajsleepy:

I'll be honest, I skimmed this one for reasons previously discussed. I'm glad to see it behind us and am looking forward to future chapters.

You’ve made your feelings on the matter quite clear, yes. :ajbemused: Next chapter is well underway, though I’ll have to take the first third of it or so to summarize the previous arc for future readers who skip it and take care of a couple loose ends. Don’t worry, though—There will be plenty of Zesty after that, and Sunset will get dinged severely for losing narrative focus by Creative Writing instructor Ms. Cherilee.

Fertile Fields: Yeah, that’s what I wanna know! I mean, dang, never mind how hot that all was, the outcome was basically like flipping a coin and having it land on edge!

Always a pleasure to meet a Legacy of Kain fan.

Sorry for forgetting to answer this before. :ajsleepy: Let me take care of that now:

If I referenced it, it was unintentional, since I don’t know that game series. You’ll have to explain to me exactly what I did.

It seems like I have a talent for accidentally referencing other stories and games in my works, even those I haven’t ever read or watched. It’s becoming a running joke over in my Firefly series with certain prereaders how I continually but never on purpose reference Fallout Equestria, for example. Guess I’ll have to add Legacy of Kain to the list as well. :rainbowlaugh:

I thought you were referencing this scene.

Remember what I said. Ignore them

There are times when an author has to acknowledge the meta of storytelling to tell a story. There are times when you have to resolve issues that come up in ways that are convenient to the process. A lot of people read stories, it's what this site is for, but not all readers understand how to write and the decisions that authors make. It's unfortunate but I want to reference the fact the offending commenter did the right thing and deleted their comment. It was the right move and I admire the integrity.

If you're reading this, thanks for doing the right thing, Z.

Seconded. And as he did so and later apologized to me on a separate blog, I’ve deleted my response to it as well.
