The story that recycles some of these characters makes no sense.

They just drop into the middle of chapter seventy-something with a huge gap in how they got to where they are from where they were. At the end of this story, they're training in a city. Then they pick up in the next scattered all over and captured by whatever, implying that they went on an adventure, and stuff happened in that adventure, all off-screen. It's not really a continuation so much as it is recycling the character ideas in a completely unrelated story.

And that other story cuts between points of view so often it's like watching the news in a foreign language. No idea what was going on, just that someone was unhappy about it.
