Stargate SG-1/Friendship is magic crossover
Trixie has fled Ponyville and has lost everything, until she accidentally discovers the Stargate. As she examines it, she activates it and decides to step through the pool of light.
SG-1 arrive on P8F-211 to find an azure sentient Unicorn posing as a Goddess after winning over the planet's population with her magic. Is this almighty being for real this time? Or is she another false god?
The team will find out soon enough, especially when a Goa'uld has returned to reclaim the planet!

Interesting start. I rather enjoy these Stargate SG-1 cross overs. They tend to have the right mix of tongue in cheek and seriousness.
For anyone who is interested there is a SG-1 story over on Equestria Daily. The first story is done and the second one has been... in Limbo to be honest... The author says part 4 of story 2 should be out soon, but he's also been saying that since October so... yeah...

I know those stories. They were part of the reason why I'm a brony now. Back in March, I sent the guy who wrote it a PM via FanFiction asking him wherever he would continue the story. He said 'I certainly do have quite a few people wanting to know when the next chapter
comes out. Unfortunately, given that this is a volunteer work (as in I'm not
making any money off it) and I do have my own life to attend to, I haven't
been able to give the story the proper focus it deserves. I'm sure you would
rather read a properly written story than something dashed out in a haste.
As for your accusation/implication that I don't watch MLP, you're absolutely
right. I must have missed the episode when PinkIie Pie was guilt-tripped by her
friends for not throwing a party exactly how they wanted. More often, I see
episodes centered around understanding and consideration for others, and
indeed almost everyone who enjoys the story has understood my need to put my
life first. In return I understand that you want to read more and I am doing
what I can to get the next chapter out.

she seams a bit uptight at the end tho,
but she have a ego problem and she is a show man who loves to perform, so now being sent to a different world where the locals worship her as a good and are fold by even the simplest magic trick, (and take in account that she knows real magic, and not just fancy technology like the snakesheads) it's understandable that the fame go to her head being in a environment like that for X long
As for SG1 perfect, absolutely perfect i can see that you have a good understanding of the characters personalities, teal'c doing his eyebrow thing, pointing out the planets value, then Sam commenting on it (she usually is most for idle chit chat)

and jack´s comment on Trixie " Alright, show’s over folks You see this? This is a horse. Not a God or Goddess, but a horse" Oh that is so him you nailed that perfect.

Jack being his sarcastic condescending self and the upcoming challenge, Sam will probodley go bonkers trying to figure out how Trixie can do all this "magic" whitout any tec,
Daniel (he being the legend myth expert) come up with some half crazy theory relating her to unicorn legends from earth, and try scold her and give a big moral speatch thats its not good to impersonate gods etc and trys to get as much info out of her as possible.
There's so many things that can happen from here, they (SG1) getting imprisoned, (probably something jack said/or did) they befriend her and see her as an ally, its possibly sens i don't think her rule have bean as tyrannic as the Goa'uld´s, she maybe gets invited back to sgc, i bet the N.I.D. people will be surprised as shit if a unicorn shows up .
l like that you retailing her experiences, i forms of flashbacks instead of just having the story progress in a linear pattern.
and im looking forward to see how she uses the gate, how she meet the locals, become the ruler/god of the city, and possibly more citys we don't know who long she have bean there the whole planet may be under her rule, and i say city because i don't think a small bachwash village have the resources and manpower to build a 10 meter big ring wall.
But i want to point out one thing i hope you do and i believe in this quite strongly, have Trixie be a bigger power holder now then she was back in the episode.
Back there she was well pathetic no stronger then any normal unicorn, so have here be more power full like twilight or even stronger, aka she can teleport, stronger telekinesis where she will be able to life a few tons (like twilight whit the Ursa minor and the water tower) and maybe some telepathy releted spells as well.
My point whit this is make her stronger, im not saying to make her a second Celestia but give her some more juse so shes not a simpel pushover and a one trick pony (no pun intended)
it would not be hard to come up with an explanation for that, this planets/galaxy have stronger "energy flow" which make magic stronger here, not the best but it work,
and have her have a bit more juice than before who'd not only be cooler further in where she will be abel to kick some Goa'uld ass herself, but also make it a bit more believable that she convinced and entire planet to follow her.
Btw Trixie´s reaction to earth technology and later on Goa'uld will be interesting

don't rush things to the Goa'uld invasion/action part, the meting they are having now the report back to sgc about a unicorn godess, and later on formal gratings will be just as fun to read
and last one quick question, where in the stargate sg1 time like are we i don't need a exact episode but just a rough estimate,

Shame that story isn't going to be finished in all likely hood. Oh well, that's just one of the pitfalls of fanfiction. You never know when a well written story will just stop. The same seems to have happened to Equestria: Total War. I was loving the version of Derpy in that story, but it's not been updated in moooonths.
Oh well, what can we do but continue to write our own stories and hope some day the lost and forgotten ones come back to life.

i like this chapter just as i like dthe previous one,you keep everyone in character (jack and daniel particularly) so don't worry about that, oh boy i cant wait to see with jack have plans,

and at this point they (sg1) must surely think trixie is using goa'uld tec (or just tec in general) to fool the masses, will be fun to see wath they think when they relise she is not.

The only thing i relay didn't like was the length, 1k is not much after a week, + the authors not section took up ca 1/3 of all content,
but ones again you addressed that in the chapter and explained why it took so long, and beside its your story you don't need an excuse to update late if you want to,
but its nice to hear your planing to write longer chapters and get em out faster.
Ps one quick question, how long are you planing to make this story?, i know that is something you as an author cant answer that easily but i'm just asking for a rough expectation, 20k words, 30k, 50k, 100k, etc...

If you don't have Microsoft Word/Office you can get an open source version that's just as good. It's OpenOfiice.org. It's almost exactly the same, but you have to watch what format you save your files in so that you can open them on other computers as well if you're using a flash drive.

Each solar system is different. For example, Equestria's sun orbits it's planet, instead of their planet that orbits our sun. They would both give out different gravitational fields because of the different orbital paths. Another example is that a binary star system has a greater gravitational field than ours because of it having two suns compared to our one.

As for the story line/format of the story i have no idea i have 0 imagenation when it comes to writing or coming up with original content,but i do hope you do something out of the norm and a bit unusual,
exempel if he/you where top take up residents don't use ponyville, you were planning shipping dont use the "main six" (not saying any of these shod not be in it), have him/you be some sort of a power player if that includes magic or just awesome fighting skills, or something else entirely doesn't matter just as he/you can kick some as if need
(but at the same time not be OP in comparison to any protagonist)
Thats all i tips/pointers/idea´s i realy can give at the moment, but i whod love to work as a ball plank to bounce/discuss ideas and thought, so if you come up with something i'm more than willing to devote some time to give you my thought on them.(assuming you care at all wath this random internet stranger thinks of course

Trixie doesn't know that the Stargate leads to other planets. She just got lucky on her first attempt of dialling and ended up on P8F-211 by chance. This fact may also suggest that a form of humanoid beings may inhabit the same planet as Equestria, or that human-like beings may have visited Equestria in the past and left behind something to indicate their existence. I will cover more about this in a possible sequel, maybe...
As for opinion about the planned HiE fic, it's hard to do something that isn't original or has been done to death. Currently, I'm bouncing ideas at the wall to see what sticks. And an idea about an entire glue factory from Earth ending up in Equestria stuck pretty well, but now my walls are covered in notes covered in industrial strength superglue. Hmm, maybe I should have done this mentally instead...
