I am truly and utterly speechless.
Whelp, here goes nothing:
First off I'd like to say how WONDERFULLY you portrayed Twilight's emotions. The feelings she has after losing Spike and Rarity are exactly how they would be in real life. I would know. I've been in this Twilight's shoes. Just wanting to fix everything, save that one life you know you can save. Alas, I am not a magical unicorn with Time-Traveling capabilities, else I would've done so.
Needless to say, your portrayal of Twilight in this story did two things for me: One, it brought a mirror up to my face, and said," You see this? This was you. You're not this anymore." Two, this story made me cry. Really, really hard. Hell, I haven't cried like this in 4 years, and back then I cried about nearly everything.
So, congratulations to you Lightning. Despite every story on this site, this one will always be one of my Favs.

Messing around with time has consequences it appears. Rarity and Spike were meant to die, and she changed fate. Then again with the power you should have the right to keep your friends alive. One mistake can always be fixed.

5631967 It was Spike's decision, true. But Twilight's words led him to make it. It's not entirely her fault, but she had a hoof in the outcome. Of course, wouldn't you blame yourself if you tried to do the same thing and this is what happened?

Like the comment I posted on Snapped, I enjoyed the excessive gore and grimdarkness (as if that doesn't make me sound like a sociopath). But actually, I noticed how this story is more focused on da feels than on the grimdark gore, and I have to say this one thing: well done, good sir. No, seriously, throughout the story, I was mostly like, "Oh my gosh... aw..."
Also, this was my reaction to the ending:
