6270153 I already love the story, especially the little filly from the Ice farm. For awhile their I was thinking of her as spike's side kick. Even though spike started to seem a bit overpowered like superman. I don't mind it, heck my favorite series are Bleach, Naruto and One piece. But please don't forget your side character because the main character can't do everything. Unfortunately, bleach doesn't do that with it's 500+ cast but I digress. Overall it's still a great story; just don't put everything on spike.

I like how this is turning out. Spike is learning more about himself and becoming good friends with the princesses. At least, I hope he becomes close with Cadence. She is one of love so she would become a fast friend of his... Unlike a specific new Alcorn that hasn't written him since he left.
Looking forward to what types of spells he learns from Shadow. And I wonder exactly what he's going to use them for...

Here we go! A little taste of Spike's new magic! Pretty cool how he is able to put somepony to sleep like that. Also smart thinking on dealing with the dark pony.
Can't wait to see what else he will learn. A few grammar mistakes, but still good. Reading on!
Well, that was interesting... And rather awesome. Nice little fight scene, although there needs to be a few edits here and there. Grammar and dialogue is dwindling slightly. Also, it's best if you put an exclamation point instead of a comma when you have someone yelling in dialogue.
An example of a grammar mistake:
Cadence is a pony. She has hooves. 'Hoofed' is better terminology.
Also, there were a few places where explaining things would be better if you added dialogue instead of narrating it. Those tend to drag on a little when over explained. Still good chapter regardless and will be continuing. Looking forward to seeing how Spike will react when he wakes and sees his mirror broken and no idea why.
Is Spike a badass or what? Pretty nice chapter. Still needs a little less narrative and a little more dialogue but still good overall. Reading on.
