I've been writing for the past 15 years, ever since I was ten. I hope you'll be kind enough to read my work and leave a comment or two.

A devastating thing that should never happen between friends, and yet the Mane Six find themselves having to go through it, sometimes even all by their lonesome. Worst yet, Rarity is blaming herself over what happened. How could one mistake cause so much heartache? And yet she finds that she's not the only one having a hard time coping with what has happened to their family.

I think this is a good story overall, but there are a few paragraphs where you mention things more than once (how guilty everypony is feeling, especially Twilight, for instance). Also, it's a bit callous to refer to someone as having "offed" themselves.

Other than some minor quibbles, however, it's an intriguing tale and I look forward to seeing where it goes next.

3926189 Thank you for pointing out these errors. I guess i didn't notice them when I was proofreading.

A very interesting piece of literature.

Rarity drives Spike to drink himself to death and the first thing she thinks of to raise Twilight's spirit was to take her to a bar?

3928988 :rainbowlaugh: Yeah, now that I think about it, that is kind of silly, but depression and guilt are very powerful emotions that can drive one to start drinking heavily if the feelings aren't handled in a proper manner.

...:rainbowderp: Where's Chapter 3?

What happened to chapter 3?

To answer your question, I forgot to publish the chapter. Silly me.:rainbowlaugh: Glad you guys are enjoying and liking the story so far. I've noticed that some of you have taken offense to the fact that Rarity had the audacity to take Twilight to a bar as a means of getting over her troubles. Some of you say this a blatant slap in the face/insult to Spike's memory and I agree. Thanks to "Twilight Time", my favorite scene from that episode (Twilight stuffing her face) will be replacing the bar scene, with Rarity and Twilight going out to lunch so that Twilight can get some fresh air. And, yes, that scene did inspire me to write a weight gain short story for Twilight.

I've really enjoyed reading this story.
All I can now is ME WANT MORE!!!! ...please

4333317 I'm kind of in a rut with writing this story, but I am thrilled that you're enjoying the story so much and I am glad that you're looking forward to more. :pinkiehappy:

4349704 I understand, don't hurry yourself

4349721 By the way, love your avatar! Real cute! Loved the episode "Inspiration Manifestation." It's pretty much a guarantee these days that if the episode focuses on Rarity, you can guarantee that it'll be awesome! From "Suited for Success" to "Inspiration Manifestation," there has never been a bad Rarity episode. The worst crime that "Simple Ways" committed was being mediocre. I also loved "For Whom the Sweetie Belle Tolls." :raritywink:

4349742 Thanks. And I'm gonna have with you on Rarity not have a bad episode.

4349807 As in you agree or disagree with me?

I don't like that song very much

...Maybe I've been watching too much South Park, but is Twilight gonna re-birth Spike?

4801466 LOL No. I wouldn't even know how that would be possible. So, yeah, you've probably been watching too much "South Park." I can just see the conversation now:

TWILIGHT: (to Rarity) Oh, my God! You killed Spike!
FLUTTERSHY: You bitch!

Well, I was half thinking you were going to explain it as some Eldridge effect of Spike being hatched by twilight's magic crossed with the alicorn thing or something

Honestly, this is a great story. Can't see why it has so many dislikes!
And on the note of Spike/Sweetie Belle shipping... it sounds really cute, and I'd ship it if it wasn't for my OTP of Sweetie Belle shipping... BUTTON BELLEEEE!!! (Button Mash/Sweetie Belle) :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

Its funny how none of Rarity's friends reminded her of how she advised Twilight to see a doctor about her eating habit as a way to combat her denial.

Well this took a hard left down an unexpected road

5132994 Boo! Fuck Button/Belle! Spike and Sweetie were meant to be together! :rainbowlaugh:

You have your opinions, I have mine.

5149406 LOL That was a joke.

… I'm terrible at getting jokes :rainbowlaugh: :facehoof:

Pitch BLACK ,A Hitchcock production.......... Rarity loved Spikey to the end.:pinkiegasp::rainbowhuh::twilightoops::flutterrage::ajsmug::duck::moustache:

5162211 Wow! What a compliment! Thank you!

5161089 Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Apparently someone has already reported the story for being plagiarised because all I got was, "Story does not exist."

5162658 Yeah, I did that after I let you know. I know all the hard work you put into this so I wasn't about to let someone rip you off.

5164298 Much appreciated.

5164352 A fine piece to cry to, You did good, Black as coal and just as hot with dragon fire.:raritystarry::moustache::facehoof:

this story is based off of the song. am i right? :rainbowhuh:

Oh hey, you're on here too. Well I'll like and Favorite it here too.

I saw the title of this story and the first thing to pop into my head was "Whisky Lullaby" by Brad Paisley. He's one of my all time favorite country music artists and one of my favorite songs. This story wouldn't happen to be based of it would it?

6834960 Yes, it is. What did Spike's note say? "I'll love her 'til I die." Glad you liked the story. :pinkiehappy:

Wow, she certainly went from depressed to bat$#!+ insane real quick, didn't she?!

I'm just waiting for Rarity to 'expose' herself. Didn't she take a suicide note?

Intervention for your eating habits too Twilight.

Months turned to years and years

And now they decided to bust in the joint.

Well that escalated quickly
