But Tirek has a plan, one that will draw in a creature from a world where life is cheap, hats are plentiful, and gravel is king. Twilight Sparkle has fulfilled her destiny and become the sole ruler of Equestria.

Unfortunately, at her first council meeting, she learns a terrible truth.

Equestria is a bit of a mess.

There appears to be a giant teapot in front of Twilight's castle.

There appears to be a Great and Powerful Trixie in front of Twilight's castle.

These two things might be connected.

It's been a week since the defeat of the Storm King, and Tempest Shadow has been working hard to earn herself a good name. Unfortunately, this is hard to do when most ponies aren't willing to give you a chance. Luckily for her, she has Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, on her side for when things get rough.

Tonight, however, things are going to change.

Fizzlepop Berrytwist suffered a terrible tragedy as a foal and nearly lost her way until a chance meeting with Shining Armor showed her another path in life - as a member of the Night Guard of Luna. However, in her efforts to prove herself as being up to the task of being a Night Guard, she has pushed herself practically to the breaking point. As her commanding officers try and sort out her unique situation and if the Guard really is the place for her, she is given a simple assignment: keep an eye on Trixie Lulamoon, Princess Luna's new apprentice, as she spends a day in Canterlot.

This won't end well...

After being tasked with making a friend by Twilight Sparkle, Tempest is distracted by Songbird's amazing show and goes to compliment her on it.

I wrote this fic after telling my artist friend that if she drew a Tempest x Songbird image(this stories cover image), I'd write a fic for it. She held up her end, so I held up mine. Hope you guys enjoy :)

Who better to run the program than a natural athlete and Wonderbolt? Too bad Dash is already busy with her own classes and practice schedule. When asked if she has a suggestion in mind for the position, Rainbow Dash offers an unexpected name as an alternative.

On the morning of their first class, the students are understandably excited to find out which of their favorite professors was chosen to instruct them in the rigors of physical fitness and education. When the gym doors open, and their new instructor appears, it becomes immediately apparent their class will be anything but easy, or boring.
