Darknight Moonwing wears no uniform. White button-down shirts look quite official, and stand out in the darkness, whereas her shadow-colored fur does not. Her authority and her duty are not summed up by a neat white shirt nor a shiny badge, not in her opinion. She’d been hired to guard, a duty she would fulfill to the best of her abilities. Everything else was secondary to that.

“Tour America by Rail!” the sign said, and so Sweetsong does. Everything she needs for a journey fits into her saddlebags, and there are plenty of trains to choose from if she’s resourceful enough.

There’s nothing quite like having her hooves over the side of an empty gondola watching the world speed by, or looking at the stars overhead through the end bracing on a grain car. Sometimes box cars have their doors left open, and she knows how to jam them so they won’t close en route.

When she gets where the train takes her, she can live off the land or sing and play her guitar for money. When it’s time to move on? There’s always another train.

Diamond Tiara has been given a school assignment, a simple one at that. She has to pick one pony to do a paper on, detailing what it is about that pony that inspires her.

However, the filly has done so many papers and assignments on her father already, and asking her mother is out of the question. So on a whim, she decides to ask her favorite butler, Randolph (to whom she has grown most attached).

Randolph obviously wasn't always a butler, but just what did he do before he ended up in the employment of the Riches? Tiara is about to find out a not so deep secret about the old stallion, one that will change the way she thinks of him. And it all has to do with a detail she wrote off so long ago.

Big Mac is not the most outspoken pony in Ponyville. In fact, he rarely speaks at all. All he seems to do is just work on his family's farm day in and day out. Nothing else but his orchards and family seem to matter to him.

Little does anypony know, he is fulfilling the final wish of his departed mother.

Jake, a new arrival to Equestria, finds himself roped into a high tea with Princess Celestia and a group of snobby nobles. The lunch is boring, the tea is boring, and the nobles are boring. Celestia gives Jake an out, and he takes it, braving a final conversation with one 'Lady Rarity' in the hopes that he can escape the whole boring affair and get a cup of goddamn coffee.
