On her birthday, Star Breeze wanted to become the first spellcasting pegasus. To do that, she tried to learn how her father became the first flying unicorn. While she listened to his story, she learned more than she thought she would, like how he flew through all of time and space and rescued the world from an ancient evil.

The Doctor takes the Coordinates Blue gave him, and lands in a massive Prison. Run by Eternal beings who simply call themselves "The Law." With a ruthless Judge, a sympathetic Warden, and many imprisoned ponies in pain.

Blue sent them here for a reason, and the Doctor may not be prepared for what he finds there.

The Tree of Harmony has gained the ability of verbal communication, though it speaks to a select few. One these few now includes a mysterious being who goes only by the name of The Doctor, an alien who travels throughout all of time and space and has lived longer then both alicorn princesses. They have a chat about loss and immortality; what they have meant, and will continue to mean for both of them.

Sunset never expected to encounter her own double. In retrospect, maybe she should have. Having fled back to Equestria, with little hope of being able to return to the life she built for herself, Sunset sinks into dismay. This is only made worse by the fact that her guide to Ponyville is a bombastic showmare who is the local equivalent of Canterlot High's reigning bully.

Meanwhile, Sunset's friends try to discover what made her run, and whether she'll ever return. Deeper secrets rise to the surface as they investigate with new Sunset's help.

The divide between worlds is breaking down. A force threatens both worlds with destruction and corruption, and chaos that leaves even Discord unprepared. Only friendship can save the day, now, but will that be enough when friendship was the root of the problem to begin with?
