Tom walked through the streets by himself. His hands were in pocket, and his head was hung low. He had just experienced what he never thought would ever happen to him. An argument. He had just witnessed his girlfriend, Patricia do the one thing that broke his heart.

She looked up from what she was doing]g, seeing his horrified face as he looked towards.

Before she could say something that sounded like an appolagy - He turned, and left.

The night sky hung high over him, not doing much to improve the terrible state of mind he was in at the moment. How could she do that to him? How could she not tell him that she was...As he had explained to his younger sister when she accidentally found out this specific person? Why couldn’t they have done it somewhere else-…? That was his bed too, for f’s sake!

‘’Whatever…! I’m done!’’ He exclaimed to himself. Moving his arms out to the side. ‘’I’ll get my stuff, and leave tomorrow. Maybe I’ll head home to my sister, and see how she’s doing. Hopefully I can stay there a few days, until I find a job or something – Without Patricia, I won’t last long on my own.’’

He turned, taking a left, and heading inside a park.

Venturing through the darkness at night was probably not the best he could do at the moment, but he was depressed, and sad, so there isn’t really much that could affect him at this point – His sister, was just a theory, and even then it’s completely likely that she’ll want to speak to him again, considering…It was a good effort, though. A nice plan in case he couldn’t think of something.

Suddenly, out from the side, a man walked towards him.

This stranger, whom he didn’t know, reached inside his jacket, and pulled out a small thing from his pocket.

‘’Oh shit!’’ Tom exclaimed. He turned, and started to make a run for it. ‘’Ah! Hold it right there, man!’’ The stranger shouted. But Tom kept running. He sighed irritated, and fired the gun. The bullet hit the ground, and he once again shouted ‘’Hold it!’’ Tom stopped running, raising his hands above his head. ‘’Yeah, yeah. Good boy.’’ The man said. He walked up towards Tom, starring at him in the face. ‘’Now…Be a good boy and give me any valuables you may have, and nobody gets hurt.’’ He smiled deviously. Tom could see it in his face. He had no intention of letting him go…He was going to kill him…But that still didn’t mean that he had to die quietly, or couldn’t attempt to change fate.

He lowered his arms, moving them inside his jacket pockets, making sure to thorough search.

‘’Come on! I haven’t got all night!’’ The man said frustrated. Tom looked up, looking behind the man – He saw something. The man noticed this, and faintly turned his head to look. ‘’W-what? What are you looking at?’’ He asked.

Suddenly. Out of pure desire to survive. Tom charged the man. He swung his arm, knocking the gun out of the guy’s hands. The guy turned, and looked towards him. But before he could react, Tom delivered a painful punch to his face, sending him falling to the ground.

He ran towards the side of the road.

‘’AGHHHHHHHHH!’’ The guy shouted angrily. ‘’Come back here, and let me-‘’ suddenly. He heard a clicking noise. He turned, and saw Tom standing, holding the guy’s gun. It was aimed at the guy. ‘’Don’t you more, motherf-…Or I’ll put you down for good!’’ He shouted. The guy stopped. Like with Tom, he put his arms above his head. A smile formed itself on Tom’s face. ‘’Now, we’re going to go to the Police, and you are going to-‘’ suddenly, a gunshot was fired. Blood squirted onto the ground, and a loud thud of something hitting the ground followed.

The guy lowered his arms, panting softly. A second shape ran towards him. He turned to face it. ‘’What the hell were you thinking, idiot!?’’ The newcomer said angrily. ‘’If I hadn’t heard you, this could have gone down a lot worse.’’ The newcomer turned its head, looking around. ‘’Come! Let’s get out of here. People might have heard that.’’ He turned, and started to run towards the bushes. The guy hesitated for a few moments – Starring down at Tom’s motionless body. He hurried and retrieved his gun from Tom’s hands. Then turned, and started to run after his associate.

Everything was black. The world, his thoughts, everything, even himself was dark.

He didn’t know where he was. He assumed this was the afterlife, but if it was wouldn’t it be much more involving? The afterlife didn’t seem so mysterious once you knew that you would spend an eternity wandering an endless, black, void of nothing.

Moving his arms (he thought, he wasn’t sure if he even had any arms now). His found that it was like he was surrounded by water. He tried to move his legs. But once again, all that came to mind was water – The only form of weight-less gravity he had ever experienced.

‘’Hello!? Is anyone there!?’’ He called out. He didn’t expect to be answered, and as predicted…he wasn’t. ‘’Well…that’s just great!’’ He shouted angrily to himself. Throwing his arms into the air. ‘’I try to save my own skin, and I’m killed…What are the odds!’’ He said.

‘’Can this day get any more worse!?’’ He shouted.

Suddenly. Underneath him. A large burst of light was suddenly shined upon him. He looked down – If his eyes were still physically there, they would have widened in shock at the sight he saw. Below him, a swirling vortex of energy was shining towards him…But, strangely enough it looked familiar, like he had seen it before. But where?

Instantly. The weight-less feeling he had been experiencing while in this place, before the vortex appeared. Suddenly, vanished, and he found himself beginning to fall face-down.

At least he now knew where he would be falling. If he had begun to fall upwards, that would disturbed him. But it’s not as if this would save him, he was still going to hit something…Eventually…Hopefully.

He now fell inside the vortex, it’s wonderful, blue, swirling, glow, surrounding him. But again, and more frustratingly, this all seemed so familiar…The vortex especially.

He fell for what must have been a pretty long time...But that all, finally, ended when he saw something. A white light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, an end to either his life, because if this was life, he didn’t want to live it…Or, whoever was doing this to him – If there even was someone or something that was controlling all this, and doing this to him.

The whiteness of the light grew stronger, and stronger…Until finally, it enveloped him.

For a second, there was nothing but white.

Suddenly. A powerful pain shot through him. He leaned forward…Wait? Leaned? B-but, he was dead, wasn’t he? The pain returned without hesitation. Forcing him to lean forward again.

The pain accelerated, and built on top of itself. Getting worse, and worse than he had ever felt anything. He raised his head, and looked up to where he had just fallen from. He opened his eyes, and let out a loud, agonizing scream.

The pitch of his scream started to change. Beginning to sound much less than himself, and more artificial. There was a sudden burst of white light. He clenched his eyes shut, and raised his arm to shield himself from it.

Surprisingly, it started to fade, losing its brightness, and becoming much more tolerable. To that, he lowered his arm, and opened his eyes again. He once again looked out with his eyes, but what he saw made his jaw drop. As a shock, he found that it didn’t drop.

Surrounding him on almost every front, were trees, and mountains in the distance. Had he been sent back to Earth? Had he been resurrected? How was this possible? How could he not only be surrounded by forests, but also feel pain? It didn’t make sense.

‘’W-where am I?’’ He suddenly stopped himself. He brought his hands up to his mouth, covering it. ‘What the hell? Was that my voice?’ He questioned himself. He turned his head, looking at his surroundings. ‘What the hell has happened to me?’

Removing his hands from his mouth, he stumbled upon another discovery – Touch. He felt his skin as it moved, he felt a soft breeze brush against it. He opened his fingers, feeling their movement.

He held his hand up in front of him. He jumped back, as he saw it. ‘’W-what? N-no! T-this can’t be possible.’’ He said to himself. He raised his other arm, holding that out in front of him as well – It was exactly the same.

‘’I-I-…I am a…Cyberman.’’ He said to himself.

‘’Whoa! I’m a freaking’ Cyberman! Oooo! This is so cool!’’ He said, as he was having a nerd-gasm. Tom knew what a Cyberman was because he watched the TV series Doctor Who whenever it came out. He knew who the Daleks were, he knew of Davros, the Dalek’s Creator…But most importantly, he knew of the Cybermen. The great villains in Doctor who’s history…But he was careful to mention this around other fans as they might start an up-roar debate about who’s the best villain.

But what are the odds that he would actually end up as a Cyberman once he died?

Suddenly. Without even having to think about it. Tom’s intelligence skyrocketed. He clenched his hands against his steel head. He fell down on his knees. Into his head, tons upon tons of information streamed inside. Tom had never been the brightest kid. But now, he suddenly knew things he didn’t – Complex mathematical formulas, sciences he didn’t even know existed, and of creatures and lifeforms that a normal Human being wouldn’t be able to comprehend lived at all.

‘’Whoa!’’ Was his only comment he could utter to what had just happened.

He stood back up. Starring out towards the trees, forests, and the mountains he had seen upon opening his new eyes.

‘’Might as well just going. There’s a whole new world for me to explore. To seek out new lifeforms, to go where no Cyberman has ventured before.’’ He said to himself. ‘’Whoa! I’ll need to get used to hearing that.’’

Taking one step forward, and another, and another, and another, and another. He started to walk down from the hill he had found himself awakening upon.

He suddenly stopped. ‘’Maybe…’’ He said. He began to think.

A screen popped up in his vision, it showed the current model of Cyberman that he was. ‘’N’awwww!’’ He moaned disappointed. ‘’I had hoped that I had been the Death in Heaven-Cyberman, or the Nightmare in Silver-Cyberman. I could have benefited from some enhanced speed, or flight.’’ He said to himself. He resumed walking, and strode towards the forest – Entering its dark, and eerily silence.

*Several hours later*

Boy, he was glad he was a robot, because if he had been Human, he would have been dead-tired before he even got this far. He stopped, and began thinking again. Unfortunately, what he wanted to see didn’t appear. ‘’Right! Guess I’m on my-‘’ suddenly. He heard loud, frightened, screams from amidst the trees. He turned, looking in direction of the screams. It wasn’t unlike Doctor Who to have alien creatures in it, but he hoped that what made that noise wasn’t an Alien that could kill him…At least not until he had managed to find out where he was.

He pushed several branches aside, feeling very optimistic that he had found what he was looking for...Bingo.

Behind the branches, he saw something that indeed did shock him to a much greater extent than anything he had seen so far.

Forced up into a single tree, were several small, equine, colorful, creatures. Due to his past knowledge of Earth Animals, he guessed that these were horses…Very, very, very, VERY, small horses. Down on the ground, jumping up to try and get them were Wolves…made out of wood. ‘This is a strange planet.’ He thought to himself. He scanned the Wolves, but he detected nothing, no energy that would suggest that they had energy-based weapons on them. But they did give a small read readout of…something off, about them.

He groaned softly to himself. He had wished for a challenge…But I guess we can’t always have it our way.

He raised his arm, aiming it at one of the Wolves. A red beam shot from his wrist-laser. The Wolf exploded into several pieces, which fell on the ground. The two others turned, trying to see what had attacked their companion. Before they could spread out, or do much. He fired off to more blasts, which destroyed them in seconds – The food that belonged to their bodies fell down on the ground.

The small horses that had been panicking a few minutes ago, looked down confused at what had just happened.

‘’What in the world was that?’’ The orange looking one said.

‘’I have no idea…Applebloom?’’ A white one asked. Turning to look towards the other one beside it.

‘’Ah have no idea Sweetie belle. Ah-‘’ as she turned her head, she spotted something. Her eyes looked out in front of her, narrowing. This attracted the attention of her friends beside her.

‘’What? Applebloom-? Do you see something?’’ The one referred to as Sweetie Belle asked.

Lowering his arm, he ‘’narrowed’’ his eyes as well. Zooming in closer on the small horse-creature.

‘Oh, dang it! She’s seen me!’ He exclaimed. He turned, and vanished back into the forest.

Applebloom shook her head. Turning it, and looked back at her friends. ‘’Yeah girls? What is it?’’ She asked them.

‘’It may just be our imagination or something, but you saw something just now, didn’t you?’’ Scootaloo asked. She couldn’t hide it now, she had to tell her friends what she had seen.

‘’Yeah, ah did see somethin’…’’ Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo was about to open their mouths and begin bombarding Applebloom with ‘’Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!’’ Applebloom raised her hoof, motioning for them to be quiet. ‘’Ah’ll tell ya’ll the whole thing…But after we get down from here, and to a much more safer place to talk about it.’’

*Ten minutes later*

‘’Wow! And you’re telling us that you saw it-! Like, legitimately saw it?’’ Scootaloo almost screamed into Applebloom’s ear.

‘’Ay-yep! Ah wouldn’t lie about somethin’ like this.’’ Applebloom said.

‘’Maybe we could inform Princess Twilight about this. If it is true that you saw something, wouldn’t it be better to see if it’s dangerous, or kind?’’ Sweetie Belle said.

‘’Sweetie makes a good point. We must tell somepony about this. I mean, the Fate of Equestria could be in our hooves.’’ Scootaloo raised her hooves, holding them out in front of her. Sweetie Belle did the same. ‘’Oooooo!’’-ing, and ‘’Awwwwww!’’-ing at their hooves. Applebloom rolled her eyes, and continued down the path towards Ponyville.

‘’Alright. But you girls ain’t gonna tell anypony about this. We wouldn’t want to start a panic before we’re certain.’’

Meetings

As the day started to turn into the night. The three Fillies re-grouped to say their farewells for the day.

‘’Good night Scootaloo.’’ Applebloom said. ‘’Good night Sweetie Belle.’’

‘’Good night Applebloom.’’ Scootaloo said. ‘’Good night Sweetie Belle.’’

‘’Good night Applebloom.’’ Sweetie Belle said. ‘’Good night Scootaloo.’’

They waved their goodbyes to each other, and trotted off, heading back to their respective homes.

While she ventured home through Ponyville. Applebloom couldn’t help but feel like she was being followed. Ever since she saw that iron creature, she had been increasingly paranoid about where she and her friends hung out. The clubhouse was out of the question, as it was very isolated, close to home, but still isolated enough – Fluttershy’s Cottage was without a doubt the worst possible place they could go. It saw her, or them, and them bringing it to her would only her a heart attack…Maybe even one strong enough to kill her.

*CLANK*

Her train of thought stopped. She quickly turned her head around, and looked behind her. She starred at the dark, and almost abandoned village.

‘’It’s all right Applebloom. You’re home, nothing can hurt you…Nothing can get to you. You are home, there are many Ponies around. All you need to do is scream for help, and they’ll come.’’ She said to herself. Her eyes looked towards every possible hiding spot.

‘’You are-‘’

‘’Hey Applebloom!’’ A voice said.

‘’AHHHHHHH!’’ The little Filly screamed, as she jumped back. ‘’PLEASE! DON’T HURT ME!’’ She pleaded, begging for her life.

‘’Uhhh-…Applebloom? It’s me, Applejack, your sister.’’ The creature that scared her, said. Applebloom opened her eyes, and saw that it was true. Standing in front of her was the glowing, kind, appearance of her big sister.

‘’Phew! Boy am I glad to see you, sis.’’ Applebloom sighed.

‘’Indeed it is.’’ Applejack said, sounding almost like she wasn’t believing what her little sis was telling her. She bent her head down, starring towards Applebloom. ‘’Are you running away from something? Did you and your friends tell ghost stories to each other?’’ She asked.

‘’Errrr-‘’ Applebloom stuttered.

‘’Ah knew it! Gosh darn it, Applebloom! Ah have told you that if you’re easily scared, than you shouldn’t listen to it.’’ Applejack said.

‘’Yeah, yeah, Applejack! Let’s just go home. I’m tired.’’ Applebloom stressed. Faking a yawn.

‘’Oh! Well then I’m not one to stand in the way of sleep. Let’s go.’’ She motioned with her hoof. Appleblom, joyfully trotted alongside Applejack as they headed homewards. Occasionally turning her head, and looking out towards the darkness of the night.

After the siblings returned home. They went inside and enjoyed some good supper. After which, Applebloom told Applejack that she was going to brush her teeth.

‘’But be good about it.’’ Applejack said.

Applebloom trotted up the stairs, and headed towards the bathroom.

The bathroom door opened, and Applebloom peeked her head out.

‘’Applejack! I’ve brushed ma teeth! I’m goin to bed!’’ She called down the stairs.

‘’Ok! I’m headin’ out into the barn. I’ve got some things ah have to get set up!’’ Applejack replied.

She trotted into her bedroom, and helped herself into bed. Normally Applejack would have been there to read to her, or at least kiss her goodnight. But apparently not tonight.

‘’Maybe for the best. We wouldn’t any creatures living in our barn. Hopefully Applejack will teach it some manners if it comes here.’’ She said, as she lay her head down on the pillow, closing her eyes, as she drifted off into sleep.

*The Next Morning*

Applebloom yawned loudly as she woke. She got up, out of bed. She trotted towards her closet – Finding herself a bow she liked.

She trotted downstairs where Applejack was preparing breakfast for the two of them. She lifted her nose into the air, and sniffed the delicious scent.

‘’Mhmm – mmmm!’’ Applebloom moaned delightfully. Applejack turned, and faced the little Filly.

‘’I’m glad you still enjoy my cookin.’’ Applejack commented on her sister’s commenting.

Applebloom sat herself down at the table, and started helping herself to the delicious food her sister had made.

‘’Now, now. Wash your plate, now.’’ Applejack instructed. Applebloom took her plate with her teeth, and moved them into the sink. She turned, and galloped towards the door. ‘’Ah, ah, ah.’’ She heard her sister calling. She stopped. Turning her head around, so she could look back. ‘’Ah require some help in the barn before you leave to hang out with your friends.’’ She said.

‘’Ah thought you completed your work last night.’’

‘’Me too. But ah was apperantly so tired I started hearin things…So ah went to bed early.’’ Applebloom cast a confused glance towards her big sister, raising an eyebrow.

‘Noises? What noises?’ She mentally asked herself.

The two siblings trotted out into the warm sunlight, and headed for the Barn. Applejack in the lead.

They opened the doors, and strode inside.

‘’Alright, Applebloom – You can go and begin gatherin some hay, while I go get some apple bucking done.’’ Applejack instructed. Pointing her hoof in the direction she wanted her sister to go. She turned, and trotted back out the Barn door.

‘’Sure thing, sis.’’ Applebloom replied, cheerfully. She turned, and gently trotted down the way she was instructed to go.

Rounding a corner. Applebloom’s thoughts started to take on a life of their own, while she was pre-occupied with getting the hay for the animals.

‘Ah sure hope Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo won’t mind if I take some time before meetin’ them.

It would be a shame if they got worried and started runnin’ around Ponyville sayin’ that there is this monster in the Everfree Forest…Though, hopefully Ponies would just shrug it off, sayin’ that it’s no big deal ‘’it’s filled with monsters, what makes this one so different?’’ – ‘’Maybe this one stands on two legs, and is completely made out of iron?’’ Sweetie Belle would say. Having not heart of such a creature, the town begins to panick.

Hopefully that doesn’t happen.’

Not watching where she was going, she passed by the bundle of hay, and continued heading straight.

With a hard Bump, she hit something. She stumbled back, reaching up to her head with her hoof. ‘’Ow!’’ She groaned. Rubbing her head, gently.

She looked out in front of her to see what she had hit – Her head lifted itself. Her eyes fell upon two strange half-circle shapes. They were grey – She continued following it up – Up – Up – Up, until she saw several tall rectangle shapes. These were the same color as the strange shapes at the bottom – Her head looked up. Her eyes widened, and she started to back away in fright.

‘’No…! No. Not here…Not now.’’ Applebloom said to herself. Terrified by the sight that meet her.

Suddenly, to her ultimate horror, a voice unlike any she had ever heard spoke.

‘’Hibernation Sequence interrupted!’’

That didn’t sound too good. She knew what hibernation was, so that could one thing – It had been sleeping, and she accidentally woke it up, inadvertedly.

Slowly, it raised its head. Looking out in front of her. Boy was she glad that she wasn’t much taller.

‘’Phew! I’m invisible compared to it.’’ She accidentally blurted out. Her hooves covered her mouth. She looked up, hoping, though, at this point it was futile gesture, that it hadn’t noticed her.

‘’Lifeform detected.’’ The creature said. It turned its head, and looked down – Starring right into Applebloom’s eyes.

‘’Uh oh.’’ She muttered.

The creature immediately stood up. Towering over her even further. Slowly, she started to back away again – It’s black, expressionless, eyes, following her every movement. But in silence. That was by far the creepiest thing it had done so far.

‘’Identify.’’ It spoke again. She stopped in her tracks, starring back at it with a blank expression.

‘’Uh…? What?’’ She asked confused.

‘’Identify. Who are you?’’ It asked.

‘’Um…Well-…I’m a Pony. An Earth-Pony to be precise.’’ She said.

‘’What is your identification?’’ It asked again. AND life before, confusing the heck out of her.

‘’Um…What?’’ She repeated herself. He made a non-physical groan of irritation. What creature is so simple that it doesn’t understand when to just explain who, or what they are?

‘’Your name.’’ It said. Taking a slight steep forward. She backed a little bit away. But still held her ground.

‘’Oh! The name’s Applebloom.’’ She said. Sounding much less frightened, and a little bit braver.

There was a brief silence between the two. They stared blankly at each other, feeling now like they were just at a really awkward date. This time, Applebloom was going to break the ice. She had given up some personal information about herself, now it was time to know what in the world this thing or creature was.

‘’W-who are you?’’ She asked. Immediately regretting it. She was just a small Filly, and it was a tall, powerful, armored, being. She did remember that it had destroyed the Timber Wolves from last night, so she knew it could kill her if it wanted to.

‘’My species designation: is Cyberman.’’ The creature replied. She didn’t expect it to. She took a small step forward, feeling a little bit braver.

‘’And what is a-‘’ She gulped loudly, not wanting to annoy it. ‘’A Cyberman?’’ She asked.

‘’A Cyberman is the second stage of Human Kind.’’ It answered, once again. ‘’We are the dominant species of the planet Earth-‘’ It lowered its head, looking towards the ground. ‘’I…Am the last of my kind.’’ Without knowing it. Applebloom, gently, uttered a ‘’N’awwww.’’

‘’That’s so sad.’’ She said. Suddenly, though, the revelation that this creature had come from another planet dawned on her, and sympathy was almost cast aside. ‘’Wait! Y-you’re an…Alien!?’’ She exclaimed. It raised its head, and looked down at her again.

‘’Correct.’’ It replied.

Technically, he could have used a few different words when he said that he wasn’t the last of his species – He could have said ‘’I’m the first of my kind.’’. He had pretty much been ‘’converted’’ when he was killed by that thief in the park – He hadn’t passed away during an apocalypse. So, he felt like he just lied to a small creature that didn’t know him.

Incidents in the Forest

‘’So…are you some sort of Golem?’’ Applebloom asked, curiously.

‘’Explain.’’ It replied.

‘’A Golem is a creature that is made out of stone. Are you a sub-species which is made out of metal?’’ She asked.

‘’Negative. Cybermen are upgraded. They’re natural flesh, bone, and blood is sealed inside the armor casings.’’ It replied. She nodded impressed. ‘’I wasn’t always a Cyberman. Once, I was unique. I possessed an appearance that was all my own. My own skin, my own hair, and my own eyes-‘’ It told her. ‘’But an unfortunate even happened which lead to me being upgraded, and becoming a Cyberman.’’ Her impressed glance, faded into a saddened stare.

‘’W-what happened?’’ She asked, sympathetically.

‘’I died.’’ It replied.

Applebloom trotted over towards a small stack of hay. She grabbed it – Fashioning it into the shape of a cube, and sitting herself down on it.

‘’But there’s still one thing I don’t understand, Mr Cyberman-‘’ She said. ‘’Why did you save my friends and me? Why did you save us from the Timer Wolves?’’ She asked. He became motionless. Staring blankly down at her. ‘’Considering you just happened to stumble upon us, what made you decide to save these three Fillies?’’ She asked.

‘’Fillies?’’ He asked confused.

‘’Oh! Right!’’ She exclaimed. Smacking her hoof against her forehead. ‘’I’m so sorry. I didn’t tell you. I’m a Filly. If you have children where you’re from, that’s our term for it.’’

‘’Anyway, back to my question: Why did you save us?’’ She asked.

‘’Why shouldn’t I? Three small helpless creatures are trapped in a tree, being chased by wooden Wolves. I did what I felt was right.’’ It replied.

Rounding the corner. Silent as ghost. Applejack trotted into their proximity. Her eyes were closed, so she hadn’t yet noticed the Cyberman talking to her sister.

‘’Hey Applebloom! Weren’t you supposed to-‘’ Applejack called out. She opened her eyes, and looked out in front of her. Her sight fell upon a tall, silver, two-legged creature that towered over her little sister, who was sitting down a chair in front of it.

Both Applebloom, and the Cyberman turned towards her.

‘’Get away from my sister!’’ Applejack shouted towards it. Applebloom stood up from her chair of hay. Trotting towards her sister.

‘’No! Wait! Applejack! Its okay!’’ She tried to calm her sister. But it was too late…She had already been registered.

The tall, armored, creature, started to take several steps forward. Coming to a halt above Applebloom.

‘’Hostile element detected!’’ It said. It raised its arm, aiming it at Applejack. ‘’Hostile elements will be deleted!’’ It said.

Applebloom turned, looking up. She saw its arm, and she knew what that meant. Atop, a small thing that looked a stolen Unicorn horn appeared.

‘’Delete!’’ It shouted.

‘’NO!’’ Applebloom shouted, as she leaped towards the Cyberman’s arm. She caught it with her hooves, pushing it away. A beam shot from it. It passed by Applejack, just missing the side of her mane, and flying past her. The beam shot into the wall, creating a massive hole.

‘’Whoa, nilly!’’ Applejack exclaimed. She jumped to the side, hiding behind several stacks of hay.

She heard a loud explosion sound from behind her. Peeking her head out, she saw another large hole in the wall. To her relief, she also heard coughing. Hopeful, she galloped out from behind the hay, and moved towards where she had last seen Applebloom.

Out from the hay. Applebloom crawled. Coughing a little bit. Before she could look up, she was embraced in a tight hug by Applejack.

‘’I-I-…I’m all right!’’ She wheezed.

‘’Oh, right. Sorry.’’ Applejack apologized. She let go of her sister. Sometimes Applejack’s hugs could be as dangerous as Pinkies.

Applejack approached the destroyed hole in her Barn. Looking out, she tried to catch a glimpse of that, armored, thing. Thank goodness she had stumbled upon it in time, otherwise things could have gone down a lot worse.

‘’Twilight needs to know. I don’t where it is, but if that thing is still out there, we need to find it before it causes more harm.’’ Applejack said to herself. She turned, and looked down at Applebloom, strictly.

‘’I’m going to go tell Twilight about that thing being here. Meanwhile, I want you to go hang out with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. I would feel much better if as knew that you were with somepony I can trust.’’ Applejack said.

‘’Sure thing, Applejack.’’ Applebloom replied.

Applebloom was going to go find her friends. In reality, though, she had a different plan than the one Applejack had for her.

Applejack used her muzzle, and lifted her sister up onto her back. She started too galloped out the Barn. Heading towards Ponyville with all the speed she could muster.

After dropping Applebloom off at Rarity’s boutique. Applejack informed Rarity of the encounter at the Barn.

‘’Dear sweet Celestia!’’ Rarity replied once Applejack was finished. ‘’Come on. Let’s go.’’ She instructed, heading for the door.

Applebloom hurried upstairs to Sweetie Belle’s room.

She knocked on the door, and Sweetie opened it.

‘’Oh! Hey Applebloom. Come in.’’ Sweetie Belle said. Motioning for her friend to enter. Applebloom trotted inside, at which point Sweetie closed the door behind her.

‘’Have ya heard anything from Scoots?’’ Applebloom asked.

‘’No. I haven’t seen her at all.’’ Sweetie replied. Shrugging with her shoulders.

‘’Well, we’ve got to find her. I know what we’re going to be doing today for our crusading.’’

‘’What?’’ She asked, intrigued.

‘’We’re gonna find that Cyberman.’’ Applebloom replied.

‘’The what?’’ Sweetie Belle asked confused.

‘’I’ll explain on the way.’’ Applebloom replied.

*Hours earlier*

There was a loud beeping. Several figures attended to the control console. ‘’Energy fluxuation detected.’’ A figure spoke. Another figure approached it. ‘’The Location?’’ It asked. ‘’It is being detected in proximity to the Everfree Forest.’’ It replied. ‘’Prepare a squad. We’re leaving there, now.’’ The newcomer instructed. ‘’Aye, sir.’’ She replied.

‘’WHAT!?’’ Twilight exclaimed. ‘’You’re sure of this?’’ She asked.

‘’Perfectly. Ah don’t know many Twilight, but ah know when my eyes deceive me, and they weren’t.’’ Applejack replied.

‘’Well, shouldn’t we inform Princess Celestia? If a creature that powerful is roaming the world free, it could cause some serious harm.’’ Rarity interjected.

‘’Um…We don’t know why it was in the Barn-‘’ Fluttershy tried to speak. ‘’Ah! Who cares what it was doing in the Barn? It was staying the night so it could continue today, going wherever it’s going.’’ Rainbow Dash interrupted.

‘’We should keep it quiet until it becomes dire to inform the Princess of its existence. Unwanted panic could be spread if we don’t.’’ Twilight said.

‘’Then what do we do? We can’t just sit back and do nothing.’’ Rainbow said.

‘’I know. That’s why we’re going into the forest to find it.’’ Twilight replied.

*Meanwhile in the Everfree Forest*

I suddenly stopped running. Coming to a complete and utter halt. I turned around. Looking behind me, I couldn’t see any sign of pursuit, or attack.

He came to a halt. He raised his arm up, checking his weapon.

‘’Good. It didn’t suffer any damage when she attacked me. ‘’ He reassured himself. He lowered his arm. Looking out in front of him. ‘’I should seek shelter for when the night comes. There may not have a pursuit party now, but I doubt any creatures would allow a Cyberman to wander freely on their planet…Although, that Filly, Applebloom didn’t seem to know what a Cyberman was, so I should be safe, for the time being.’’ He turned his head, looking around, scouting his surroundings.

‘’Scan In-progress.’’ He said, as a different sort of vision appeared. He could see faint, small, heatsignatures in the distance...But it was unlikely that they might prove to be a great enough threat to him, just to be safe he should keep his distance – Unless, of course, he somehow miraculously becomes a Nightmare in Silver Cyberman. Then he can pretty much deal with anything they throw at him.

Suddenly, his audio receptors picked up something. He turned his head, looking to the side.

‘’Enhance audio frequency.’’ He said to himself. He brought his arm up to his chest, just like a Cyberman would. No reason, he just wanted to do it. The volume he had picked up, started to get stronger, and stronger.

‘’Do you think this is such a good idea? What if the creature finds us?’’ An unseen figure asked.

‘’Of course. If I was hidin’ out here, I would go to the one place no one would suspect you of hiding – The Ruins.’’ A familiar voice spoke. If he had just to be precise about it, he would say that it sounded southern, going by Earth standards.

He removed his arm from his chest, moving it back down. ‘Ruins? If what she says is true, then I may just have found a good hiding spot for a few days.’

Beginning to move forward, he started to move in direction of the voice, following the frequency in which it was coming from.

Pushing several bushes aside. He strode out into an open spot. He turned his head, examining, and scanning the local surroundings. He had been foolish to not search his surroundings the last time before he slept. But not this time.

‘’Location secured. No lifeforms detected.’’ He said.

He turned his head, looking down in front of him.

‘’Whoa!’’ He exclaimed. Only a few feet in front of him stood what looked like a drawbridge. He followed it towards the other side. ‘Oh shit!’

He raised his leg, holding it out in front of him. ‘’One step…That’s all it takes.’’ Gently putting his foot down on the wood, he expected it to break. But surprisingly it didn’t. He looked down, sighing in relief.

‘’Phew! That went well.’’ He said. He reached down towards the robes with his hands, grabbing hold of them. ‘’And now, for the second steeeeeeehhhhhhhh!’’ The bridge snapped, and his foot crashed through the wood. He fell forward, causing the bridge’s bindings on his side to snap – He and the entire bridge fell down.

‘’Well…This is just fucking perfect.’’ He said to himself, as he hung onto the drawbridge. He looked up, seeing that he was now in a position that felt eerily similar, and unfortunately it was a situation he didn’t really want to be in, because he remembered how it ended the last time.

He looked up, and saw that the wooden planks had not been completely broken. He reached up with his arm, grabbing hold of it – He gripped the rope for safe measure, as well. Then, with slow movement, he started to raise his other free hand up – He grabbed another plank, and started to heave himself up.

Finally. With a final pull, he lifted himself up. He placed his foot firmly on the ground – He didn’t bother to turn around and look down, he would just undo everything he had set out to accomplish if he did. He instead started to walk towards what he had strived to reach – The Ruins, as they had called it.

He placed his hand on the door, and pushed it open. He strode inside, not bothering to close it behind him.

‘’You did it. Good job.’’ He congratulated himself. Having made it this far on a planet he had never been before felt like it needed that. ‘’I should find myself a place to rest for now. It is drawing towards night, and I would do well in keeping a low profile.’’

He started to walk, heading for a random corridor.

*Several hours later*

High upon the sky. Beams of blue light shined down upon the ruins of the ancient castle of the two Pony Sisters. The wind blew through its silent, hollow shell…Like the corpse of a dead creature.

‘’Come on Applebloom. We’ve been wandering this place for hours.’’ Scootaloo whined, as they rounded a corner. Applebloom turned, starring back at the Pegasus with a confused face.

‘’What are you talkin’ about? It’s only been a half-hour…Ah think.’’ Applebloom replied.

‘’Yeah, whatever. Can we please go home now, I’m beginning to get tired, and I want to go home, and relax with something nice.’’ Scootaloo said.

‘’Fine…!’’ Applebloom groaned. Scootaloo raised her head, holding it high. ‘’But only after we’ve searched the throne room. We haven’t there yet.’’ She continued. Scoots, lowered her head, starring towards the Earth Pony with an unimpressed expression. Sighing, softly.

*Meanwhile, elsewhere in the case*

‘’Steady girls. We don’t want to make too much noise. We might risk alerting the creature.’’ Twilight instructed.

‘’Got ya, Twilight.’’ Applejack replied.

‘’Yeah. Don’t worry about it, Twilight. We will find it.’’ Rainbow Dash said. Flying down towards the lavender Alicorn.

The cyan Pegasus flew up above the ruins. Looking down upon it. In the corner of her eye, she spotted something. It was only there for a second, but it was unmistakable what it was. ‘’Applebloom?’’ She said to herself.

*Meanwhile, someplace else…Again*

Rounding the corner. The three little Fillies enter inside a large chamber, though, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo is having some trouble catching up to their friend. But as soon as they round the corner, and enter inside the throne room. They stop dead in their tracks – They’re jaws drop, and their eyes stare up at the figure in front of them. In front of them sits Applebloom, though, her jaw has not dropped.

Sitting on one of the thrones, barely laminated by the moonlight, was the bipedal creature that Applebloom had told them about. The one who had saved them from the Timber Wolves yesterday. Its arms were resting atop the sides of the throne. Starring silently towards the entrance.

‘’Oh my…It’s even more ugly up-close.’’ Scootaloo commented.

‘’SSHHHHHH!’’ Applebloom shushed the Filly. Looking towards her with a frightened look. ‘’If you insult it, who knows what’ll happen.’’ Looking from side to side, her eyes noticed that something had happened while she had been talking to Scootaloo. ‘’Wait a minute. Where is Sweetie Belle?’’ She asked.

‘’How do you think this thing works? Is it actually alive like us, or is it just some weird Golem-thing.’’ Applebloom heard a voice behind her speak. She turned, and looked behind her. Standing in front of the Cyberman, Sweetie Belle was reaching out with her hoof towards the creature’s leg.

‘’Sweetie Belle! No!’’ Applebloom shouted, reaching out with her hoof. Sweetie turned, and looked behind her. But it was already too late – Her hoof touched against the creature’s leg.

She immediately retracted it. She raised her head, looking up towards the creature’s head.

‘’Oh no.’’ Applebloom said.

‘’Hibernation Cycle interrupted!’’ A loud, un-natural, voice, spoke. Sweetie Belle gulped. She dared not to move.

The creature started to stand up, moving its hands off the throne, placing them beside it. It lowered its head, looking down at the white, little, Filly that stood motionless in front of it, staring up at it.

Sweetie, gently, moved her head back to the side towards her friends. ‘’Girls! A little help over here!’’ She said. In response to what she had just done. The creature raised its head, and looked out to where Applebloom and Scootaloo was standing.

It didn’t do anything, it just stood there motionlessly. Unbeknown to them. The creature was performing a biological scan on them.

‘’H-help me girls!’’ Sweetie Belle whimpered to her friends. Wanting to save her friend from being so close to that terrible, silver monster. Scootaloo prepared to do whatever it took to save her friend…Even sacrifice herself for her.

She stepped up towards the throne, taking a defensive stance. Before she could do anything further. Applebloom noticed what she was doing, and intervened. She reached out, grabbing hold of her friend, holding her back.

‘’No!’’ Applebloom shouted, grabbing Scootaloo by the tail, and holding her back. Scootaloo landed down on the floor – She turned, and looked back towards Applebloom, confused,

‘’What are you do-‘’ Scots attempted to complain.

‘’Shhh!’’ Applebloom hushed her. She looked back, starring towards the creature, before looking back at the grounded Pegasus. ‘’Trust me on this…I’ve meet it before.’’ She explained.

‘’What?’’ Scots reacted, confused. Applebloom let go of Scootaloo’s tail, and proceeded to trot up towards the throne, and the creature.

‘’H-hello. Do you remember me?’’ She asked the creature. It didn’t respond. ‘’Um, yeah…Anyway, I’m so sorry for my friend’s behavior. You must understand that she was just trying to protect her friend.’’ She pointed her hoof towards the cowering form of Sweetie Belle at its feet. It looked down at the small Unicorn. She was indeed frightened of it. It looked up, starring back at Applebloom again.

‘’So…I was just wondering if you would be so kind as to maybe step a little to the side so she would feel safe enough to come back to us…Please?’’ Applebloom asked towards the creature. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The sight was just incredible, and impossible to fathom – Applebloom acting like she knew this thing, and even talking like they had meet before.

Suddenly. A thought formed in Scootaloo’s head. She put her hoof under her chin.

‘Wait a minute.’ She thought to herself. ‘She can’t possibly be…’

Suddenly. Down from the crack in the ceiling above. A large source of energy hurtled down into the spot where the creature was standing. The impact caused both it and Sweetie Belle to be flung away from each other. They both landed on separate spots on the floor.

‘’Sweetie Belle!’’ Applebloom and Scootaloo called out in unison. ‘’Sweetie Belle!’’ Another voice called out from above them.

They looked up, and saw an Alicorn flying in the air.

‘’Twilight!’’ They two Fillies called out. She turned, and looked in their direction.

Up from behind them, several familiar Ponies galloped up towards them. One of them using it’s magic to lift the unconscious Sweetie Belle up onto its back, and the other using its muzzle to lift Applebloom up onto her back. Down from the above, a Cyan Pegasus flew down, and picked up Scootaloo. Flying up into the sky with her. The newcomer turned, and started to gallop out of the room with their little passengers.

‘’No! Wait! We can’t leave…Not now!’’ Applebloom protested against her sister, as the doorway vanished further, and further. ‘’You have to go back, otherwise it’ll kill her!’’

‘’We are havin’ a strict talkin’ to when we get home.’’ Applejack replied. Seemingly ignoring what her sister had just been trying to tell her.

Back in the throne room. Twilight hovered, silently in the air, as she starred down towards the strange creature as it stood back up on its legs. It turned, looking up towards her.

‘Shit! I’ve suffered 10% damage!’ He cursed internally to himself. He focused on his attacker, starring silently back at her, as he started to scan her.

‘’You will identify immediately’’ He ordered to his opponent. He raised his arm, pointing his energy gun towards her. ‘’Identify or be deleted!’’ He shouted, making sure that she understood not to mess with him.

‘’Tell me who you are, what you are, and why you are?’’ Twilight shouted back. Atop her horn a small build-up of energy started to form. In case this creature was going to get violent.

‘’Identify!!’’ He shouted even louder, beginning to get bored of playing games with this little Horse-thing. But she remained still in the air, glaring down at him. ‘Oh, so you want to be like that?’

There was a soft bleep in his mind, and he knew that it was finished. The scan was complete.

‘’No! But that’s impossible!’’ He blurted out. He looked slightly down. Attracting her attention. Her magic powered down, and she stared blankly at him.

‘’What? What’s impossible?’’ She asked, curious.

‘’Energy readouts are off the chart! You are-AHHHHHHHHH’’ Suddenly. He was struck by violent electrical charges. He turned to try and get a look at whoever it was that had attacked him…But before he could, he collapsed down onto the ground. His vision went black, and he found himself unable to move.

Twilight floated down towards the floor. Landing, gently, on it. She approached the downed metal creature. Giving it a gentle tap of her hoof. But it wasn’t doing anything…It was dead.

‘’What the-‘’ Twilight asked, confused. Without a moment’s warning, she was struck on the back of her head. She collapsed down onto the floor of the throne room.

*A little while later*

‘’Twilight…? Twilight…? Twilight!?’’ She heard several voices speak to her. She, slowly, opened her eyes. Looking out in front of her.

She shot up, sitting up-right. Starring out in front of her…Only to be meet with the sight of Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle starring back at her.

‘’Huh! Who!? What!?’’ She asked franticly.

‘’Whoa, there, sugarcube. Calm yourself.’’ Applejack motioned, putting her hoof against Twilight’s chest, trying to prevent her from doing too much movement. Twilight looked around the room. But there was no sign of the creature, or whoever had attacked her.

‘’W-where is it?’’ Twilight asked, concerned. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie looked at each other…Before returning their attention to Twilight again.

‘’I’m sorry, sugarcube…But when we got back, the creature was gone, and you were layin’ down on the floor. Not movin’.’’ Applejack replied. Lowering her Stretson a little.

‘’What!? You let it get away!?’’ She exclaimed.

‘’No! No. No, darling…We said it was gone when we came back, we didn’t actually see it leave.’’ Rarity replied.

Prisoner

Silence, and blackness surrounded his mind. He couldn’t feel his body, he couldn’t move his fingers. Even, simply moving his head wasn’t possible.

He opened his mouth to try and speak, but once again, not being without a physical form tends to make that a little difficult…Also, being essentially nothing but a brain in a robot suit, and with that suit currently not working, changed the way he talked.

Drifting through the void of blackness and nothingness, he turned himself around. He just hoped that unlike the first time, he wouldn’t just end up someplace else…Or, maybe he did, anything would be much better than drifting through nothing.

‘’H-hello?’’ He tried to speak. He hoped that there was another person here, at least. Then, he noticed something he hadn’t earlier, he still spoke like a Cyberman.

‘’Hello.’’ A voice surprisingly, and unexpectedly answered him. He tried to turn his head to look in the direction of the speaker, but he remembered that no matter where he looked, he wouldn’t see anything.

‘’W-where…’’ He tried to ask, but it only came out slow, and weak.

‘’Oh, my apologies.’’ The voice said. He could hear movement, as the sound of something swishing interrupted the silence, the sound of a button press followed. His eyes flashed back into life, and once again, he looked out through them. Which thankfully meant that he wasn’t dead, just temporarily shut down.

His eyes looked out in front of them. Looking around, scanning every possible thing, he saw that he was sitting in a large, featureless room, sitting atop a chair. There was a single door in front of him, above it, was a single light, and from he could see, there was only a single went in the room.

His arms were restrained against the chair’s armrests, maybe whoever had de-activated him, was afraid of him re-starting himself, and escaping.

‘So then that means…’’ He mentally gasped to himself as the revelation sunk in. ‘But that is impossible…Although, considering this one was created in a parallel universe, I shouldn’t be surprised by anything anymore, I mean, talking horses. That should have already been a clear hint that many things are possible now.’

‘’Wait down there, I will join you shortly.’’ The voice spoke, there was a soft bleep, as when one was speaking through an intercom. Well, that would explain why he had only heard the voice, and not so much noises that the one who spoke would have made.

‘At least now, I can find out it was that kidnapped me, and prevented me from defending myself against the winged Unicorn. At least I’m safe here.’

‘’Maybe these creatures are more technologically advanced than I originally thought.’’ He said to himself, not caring whether anyone heard him.

‘Oh! I hope it’s another Humanoid, at least. It would make it easier for me to negotiate my way to freedom.’ He thought.

The door opened, both sides moving inwards-. Now, I definitely know that they have technology. But as they separated, and revealed the form waiting behind them, it was disappointing.

‘’Greetings.’’ The figure spoke softly, it smiled warmly. Raising its front leg, it entered inside the chamber. Half-way through it, though, it stopped. It turned its head back, and looked out. ‘’Wait outside. This will go a lot easier without you.’’ He said to several forms that looked quite like him. But unlike him, they seemed to be wearing some sort of armor, the strangest thing was that the head piece seemed eerily familiar, but he just couldn’t put his finger on it, since it was hidden behind the Pony’s head.

‘’Incorrect. The chances of success will be increased if we accompany you, Diagoras.’’ The figure said.

‘I swear, there something familiar about. I just know it.’ He thought to himself again.

The Pony turned, and looked towards me, then back at the other Pony behind him.

‘’No. And this is my final word. You will obey my command’’ He said sternly.

‘’I…obey.’’ The Pony said. He gave a gentle nod of his head, a small smile forming on his face. He turned, and looked back towards the imprisoned Cyberman in front of him.

‘Duplicates! They’re Dalek Duplicates!’ He mentally shouted to himself. He tried to free his arm from the restriction, but being a Cyborg does sometimes have a few downsides…Like not being able to operate your weaponry, when you could potentially be destroyed, melted down, and turned into pieces of metal used by this world’s Daleks.

The Stallion trotted inside the chamber, the door closing itself shut behind him. But he kept his eyes focused on it. Not letting it out of his sight until it had closed, and the figures were hidden behind the door.

The Pony approached him. He lowered his head, and looked down at the small creature. He may be bound to a chair, but he could still crush his captors’ skull with his leg…Oh, wait! Never mind, but he could.

‘’I am so sorry about that. Usually they follow my orders without question.’’ He said with a blank look of apology. I lowered my head, and looked my eyes down towards him, meeting his gaze. ‘’I have been waiting for a long, long, long time for this moment.’’ He said, his smile returning to him. He trotted up towards the left corner of the room. In it, there was a small table, just about his size. The top of his head started to glow, the table was wrapped in a field of some sort, and it was lifted up off the ground, and levitated down in front of him. The Stallion jumped on top of it, coming face-to-face with him.

‘’Hierarchy class confirmed. You are a Unicorn.’’ He said. A grimace of impression settled on his face.

‘’Not bad, not bad.’’ He complimented. ‘’I can see you’re still functioning perfectly. My troops didn’t damage any of your internal circuitry when they brought you here.’’ He said.

‘I think the right word you might be looking for is kidnapped.’ He said to himself.

‘’You abducted me.’’ I said. He tried to lean his body forward, so he could come even closer to the Pony, and intimidate it. But he was bound, and unable to do so.

‘’Abducted you?’’ He asked surprised, acting like someone who had just been accused of stealing…Which, considering he wasn’t technically alive, he had.

‘’No, no, no, no.’’ He gently shook his hooves out in front of him. ‘’I didn’t kidnap you…I saved you from ending up as nothing but pieces of metal in a junk yard.’’

‘’Explain yourself.’’ I said. How had he saved me? I had the situation well under control. The winged Unicorn was the ONE who needed saving, not me.

‘’I think It is perhaps time I introduced myself, if we are going to take this much further. My employers wouldn’t want me to spill such secrets unless they can be guaranteed maximum security.’’ He said.

He extended a hoof, holding it out in front of him. ‘’I am Diagoras. Founder of Cybus Industries, the largest corporation in all of Equestria to possess the largest collection of foreign-technology.’’ He said. He got down from the table, and started to trot around the chair. He raised his head, looking out in front of him.

‘’Identify your associates.’’ He instructed. This guy was just talking, and talking, but now, I needed to get some answers out of him. I couldn’t keep playing the role of the ‘’listener’’ and not partake in this conversation with him.

‘’My associates?’’ He asked confused. ‘’Oh! Yes. Of course, you shall be made aware of who they are-’’ He exclaimed from behind the chair. ‘’But instead of me simply telling you, I will let you download that information, yourself.’’

He raised a mental eyebrow at Diagoras’s words.

‘’And how will that be achieved?’’ He asked, trying to turn his head. It turned a little to the right, but only barely.

Diagoras rounded the corner. He teleported, re-emerging atop the table, and looked back at him.

‘’Interesting answer, my friend.’’ He said. He gently moved his head away from the blank, expressionless, face starring back at him. ‘’You can trust me…Friend.’’ He said. Once again, raising a mental eyebrow.

‘’I will get down from here…And then I will release you.’’ He said. His eyes widened in his mind – Whoa! That is a big leap to make in such a short distance. ‘’But what I need to know, is: Can I trust you?’’ He asked, looking with a stern look on him. He knew that he had no choice to say this now. If he ever wanted to move again, he had to agree to Diagoras’s demands.

‘’Yes.’’ He said. Diagoras didn’t react the way he had expected him to react to such an answer. The two of them looked deeply into each other’s eyes.

‘’Fine. Just give me a second.’’ He finally said, pulling his head back, allowing him to see anything other than Diagoras’s furry face.

He jumped down, landing on the floor. His horn started to glow, once again, it wrapped itself around the table. It was lifted up off the ground, and levitated it out of the way.

He positioned himself in front of him, staring up at the blank, expressionless face of the metal Humanoid. He raised hoof up, holding it in front of him. His horn started to glow, a small thing on his suit was enveloped in the glow as well. It levitated out of his suit’s pocket, and floated in front of the wrist-mounted device-thing. He pressed several buttons with the small stylus.

When he was finished, he looked up towards him.

‘’There. The activation signal to return all control of your to you has been activated. Try standing up if you want to confirm it.’’ Diagoras said.

He turned his head, looking his eyes down towards his left arm. ‘Let me prove your theory before you can say it worked.’ He thought to himself. He moved his fingers, gently clenching his fist, and releasing it. He turned, and looked towards his right arm. He repeated the process, clenching a fist, and releasing it.

‘’Perfect. You have not sub stained any internal damage upon arriving here.’’ Diagoras commented. He backed away from him, but still not taking his eye off of him. Couldn’t exactly say that he could be blamed.

‘’Now, just let me-‘’ He levitated the stylus pen-thing over towards the wrist-mounted device. But before he could tap it again, the sound of something breaking, and snapping apart interrupted the silence. He looked up from the device, starring towards the source of the sound. He looked up at the restricted arm…But it wasn’t exactly restricted much anymore.

With a grunt, he raised the other arm, as well, breaking it through the restraints, as if it had been nothing but paper. He placed his hands against the armrests, lifting himself up. He stood back up, looking out in front of him.

Standing still, where he stood, Diagoras was simply spell-bound by his height, as he towered over him. He had expected it to be tall, but not this tall. The creature that had started out as a prisoner, nothing compared to him, now towered over him, casting its shadow down upon him where it stood.

He took several steps back from it, still keeping his eyes fixed on it, though.

Lowering its head, it looked its eyes down towards him. He gulped, hoping that it wouldn’t just lash out at him. At least not until it had been given…It.

He reached his hoof down inside his jacket pocket, and pulled out a small object that resembled a simple featureless metal rod.

‘’Here…’’ He said, handing him the rod. He grabbed it, lifting it up. His eyes looked down at it. ‘’It is-‘’ ‘’An Info stamp?’’ I interrupted him. He looked up at me with a confused look. The confusion, visible on his face faded, and he looked back, wearing a proud smile on his face. ‘’Impressive. You are smarter than you seem.’’ He said.

Sensing an insult intended in Diagoras’s words, he wanted to lash out against him…But he remembered his promise to Diagoras. If not for him, he might be running through the woods to escape an even larger pursuit party of Ponies, now.

He clenched his fist, and would have to make do with that…For now.

The table was moved beside him. Diagoras teleported himself atop it, as he started to inspect the Cyberman’s body closer.

‘’Beautiful…Remarkable…Brilliant.’’ He commented, as he found out more about the body. ‘’Oh-! You are absolutely perfect.’’

Watching through a monitor, several shapes watched Tom and Diagoras. Silently, observing their little social event together. One of them turned, and looked towards the other. One of them nodding its head.

‘’Inform the Lord of our progress!’’ It ordered. ‘’We have found him!’’ It spoke. The other one turned, and started to make its way towards a door behind it. The doors opened inwards, and the figure strode out into a hallway. It turned left, and started down a corridor.

The figure arrived at several large doors. It stepped in front of a small viewport. Out from the viewport, a blue beam of light emerged. The light moved down, and then up, scanning it.

‘’Identity confirmed as Unit 5089! Access granted!’’ An electronic, robotic voice spoke. The doors opened, moving in towards the wall.

The figure strode inside, entering into a vast chamber. The chamber was surrounded in a vast blackness, blue lights vaguely illuminated various points on the walls. A serious of lights stood in the middle of the chamber.

It moved in, towards the middle of the chamber. A light looking down towards the floor, raised itself, looking up towards the figure that had just entered.

‘’Report!?’’ The figure spoke. Narrowing its sight, and getting a much better glance at it.

‘’The fore-told event has occurred! It has arrived!’’ It replied, starring motionless against the darkness.

‘’Has the Info stamp been delivered!?’’ It asked, its voice sounding very weak, not as strong as the other ones.

‘’Affirmative!’’

‘’Then…When the time is right…Bring it before me!’’ It spoke. ‘’Continue to monitor it! Deliver all updates to me!’’ It instructed.

‘’I obey!’’ It replied. It turned, and started to return to the door. The creature in the darkness lowered itself, looking back down again.

Holding the Info stamp in his hands, he looked down at it. How could this be here? This was a device he had only seen one species use, it was in a Christmas Special, and it had been far, far, far back, nearing the end of Season 4 of Doctor Who’s Revived Series. How was it that the Ponies of this world could have access to one?
‘’Where did you obtain this?’’ He asked. Diagoras craned his head, looking back up at him.
‘’Hm?’’ He asked intrigued. ‘’I’m sorry, I didn’t get that. What did you say?’’ He asked.
He turned his head, looking down towards him, starring angrily, if his face could still produce bear facial features. He looked up, holding the Info stamp in his hand out so Diagoras could see it.
‘’Where did you obtain this device?’’ He asked, curious to find out the answers. Diagoras looked down at it, staring blankly. His eyes looked up, meeting the steel face.
‘’Have I not told you?’’ He said condescending. ‘’My company is the largest collection of alien technology in Equestria…’’ He said. ‘’But if I had to give a much more, elaborate explanation for how I obtained it, I would have to say that it was developed by my associates. They created it.’’ He explained, shrugging.
He turned, and trotted back towards the door. He pressed one of the buttons on his wrist device with the stylus. The door moved inside the walls. He turned his head, looking slightly back. ‘’I will leave you to get…updated on the situation. Goodbye.’’ He said. He looked out in front of him, and trotted out of the room, leaving him by himself, as the doors closed shut behind him.
As there was nothing but silence in the room, he looked out towards the door. He raised his hand, and looked down at the Info stamp, staring blankly down at it.
‘How did they get this?’ He asked himself.

He raised it, holding it out in front of him. ‘Oh well. Might as well find out what I don’t know.’ He thought to himself.
The small logo on his chest opened, revealing an internal software. He raised his hand, bringing the Info stamp up towards a slot, he connected the Info stamp against the slot, and the end of it lit up with a faint white light.
His head looked up, as packets and packets of data started to stream inside his mind. He became motionless, not moving an inch during the download, or updating, or…whatever you want to call it.
He couldn’t physically see it for himself, but he could see things...Great things, wondrous things, terrifying things. Creatures he didn’t recognize, thousands of countless worlds, each more daunting than the last, characters he didn’t know and had never encountered while he had been here, battles on open fields, battles amongst skyscrapers, and in corridors, in places he had never seen before.
‘Whoa.’
Looking down at the monitors they were observing him through, Diagoras smiled softly to himself, as he stood beside his associates. His associate looked at the screen, silently observing their prisoner’s actions, or, lack-thereof.
‘’Quite a remarkable specimen, isn’t it?’’ He asked it. It turned its head, looking back towards him, meeting his eyes with its own. It looked into his face, seeing a delighted smirk that greeted it.
‘’Just like I promised, perfect condition.’’ He said. It turned its head, looking back towards the screen, then back towards him again.
‘’Correct! Its armor density is impressive! Its weapon possess the firepower capable of piercing the armor of our primary target!’’ One of the creatures replied. Diagoras bowed his head in respect.

*Someplace else*

Trotting pass several office cubicle, a Mare adorning a black suit, levitating a small stack of papers with her telekinesis. She approached a desk, the Stallion looked up from his other duties, and looked towards her.
‘’Yes? Can I help you?’’ He asked softly. She gently blew a little piece of her mane out of the way, looking her eye back down at him.
‘’Yes.’’ She said. She placed the stack of papers down on the desk, and trotted around to get a much better eye-to-eye talk. ‘’Can you tell me where Mr. Diagoras’s Office is? I seem to have gotten myself lost.’’ She asked him. She turned, looking her head around at the various cubicles on the left and right sides of her.
‘’Ah, yes. This place tends to be a little bit confusing the first time around…But you’ll get a feel for it after a while, trust me.’’ He said.
‘’Ok-ay.’’ She replied softly.
He stood up, and trotted out from behind his desk. He lifted his hoof up to his ear, and gently removed a small earpiece from it, and put it down on the desk.
‘’Now, how about I take you to Mr. Diagoras’s Office, personally?’’ He asked her, reaching out a welcoming hoof towards her.
Her eyes looked down towards it, staring blankly at it for several good, long seconds.
‘’Um, well. Its ok-ay if you don’t want to, it was just an-‘’ He spoke up, retracting his hoof back. ‘’Yes.’’ She suddenly said.
‘’Um. You what?’’ He asked confused, as he turned his head back towards her. She smiled, softly, at his look of confusion to her response.
‘’Yeah.’’ She replicated her answer. ‘’You can show me the way to Diagoras’s Office.’’ She said. A soft nervous chuckle sounded from him, as a smile settled on his mouth.
‘’Well then, you best follow me.’’ He said, as he, suddenly, turned, and started trotting down the right cubicle. She looked back towards the stacks of paper, her mouth hanging open from how he had seemingly ignored to ask her something, which she had hoped that he would ask her.
‘’Jerk.’’ She mouthed silently to herself, as she activated her magic again, enveloping the papers, and lifting them up off the desk. She turned, and started to follow after him down the rows of cubicles.

She finally managed to catch up to him, fortunately, he hadn’t been moving too fast for her, so her slow trot with all those papers hadn’t caused her to fall behind.
She trotted up beside him, turned her head, and looked up at him.
‘’So…? How long have you worked here, for Diagoras?’’ She asked. He turned his head, and looked down at her.
‘’I have worked for Mr. Diagoras, for as long as I can remember.’’ He turned and looked up. ‘’Turn left here.’’ He instructed. They turned left, and started down a corridor.
He turned, looking back down at her. ‘’Ever since I came here to his office building as a Foal. Starved and weak, but he still took me in…’’ He narrowed his eyes, looking down. ‘’I-…I don’t remember much of my earlier life before I was taken in by Mr. Diagoras, and became his Secretary.’’ He said.
‘’Y-you were Diagoras’s Secretary?’’ She asked, grimacing confused. He turned, looking down towards her, his narrowed look vanishing.
‘’Of course.’’ He said.
‘’And how is that? Why did he make you his Secretary after just meeting you?’’ She asked intrigued.
‘’He found me at the beginning stage of his company…’’ He said. ‘’And seeing how I was such a good boy, and tried to please him so he wouldn’t throw me out onto the streets, he decided to reward me for my good behavior…Heck, it was cheaper than hiring somepony else to do it, though, I still needed to learn how to deal with the tools instructed me to use.’’
‘’But wouldn’t that be costing him anything? I mean, if he wanted you to learn how to use these new tools?’’ She asked, growing a little bit confused as to what he was telling her.
‘’You would think so, but he taught me, himself.’’ He said. ‘’I mean, when you’re dealing with this kind of stuff, you kind of have to be good at it.’’ He gave a gentle chuckle, looking back down the corridor.
‘’Ah! Here we are.’’ He said. She looked out in front of her, seeing a large, steel door in front of her. He took a step towards it. He raised his hoof, and pressed a large red button on the wall, the doors moved inside the walls. He stepped to the side, stretching out his hoof, and pointing it in towards the open space that waited behind the doors.
‘’Ladies first.’’ He said, smiling warmly. She gave a gentle giggle, and trotted inside. Following after her, he stepped inside the small space as well. He pressed another button on the wall, though, unlike the first time, there were many other buttons, they had strange names beside them like L-4, and L-6.
Shaking gently, the room started to move, ascending upwards.
‘’Whoa!’’ She exclaimed in surprise, moving gently in place. He turned, and looked towards her, smiling. ‘’I know.’’ He said. ‘’It can be quite a shock the first time.’’
‘’I-…I can see why.’’ She panted softly. Standing herself up properly.

With a soft DING, the room came to a halt. The doors opened, and she ventured out from behind it.
‘’Hey!’’ She heard him call after her. She turned, and looked back towards him. ‘’Um…Well, if you, you know, ever need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.’’ He said. She smiled warmly back. ‘’Sure. Just don’t go anywhere.’’ She said. He smiled back, gently nodding his head. ‘’Sure. I-I won’t.’’ He said.
‘’Oh, by the way. Mr. Diagoras’s Office is at the end of the hallway. You won’t miss it.’’ He said, pointing his hoof out towards her. She turned, and looked behind her, seeing a lone, long corridor in front of her, she turned, and looked back towards him, smiling softly. ‘’Ok-ay. Thanks.’’ She said.
He raised his hoof, and pressed one of the red buttons on the wall. Looking up, gazed back out through the slight, small crack in the doorway before it closed shut. There was another DING, but nothing much really seemed to happen.
‘’All right then. Let’s get on with this interview, then.’’ She told herself. She turned around, and started to venture down the hallway.

Looking up, she stared blankly at the tagged door. On a white line, was the name Mr. Diagoras written. She inhaled deeply, exhaling softly. She looked towards the door. She raised her hoof, and gently tapped it against the wooden door.
‘’Come in!’’ A voice spoke from inside, behind the door. She sighed in relief. Stage Zero of getting the job, complete…Now, for the rest. She placed the papers down on the floor, and trotted back towards the door.
Placing a hoof against the door, she pushed it open. With a gentle swing, the door swung open, and she strode inside.
She trotted inside the room, seeing a large wooden desk in front of her, behind it stood a chair, and behind it stood a large glass window, overlooking the world below it. To her right, the walls were covered with various tapestries, and a picture – Strangely enough, the tapestries resembled banners, but the symbol upon them was one that had been used by the Brotherhood of the Knights. On the other, was another set of pictures, but mostly it was blank, devoid of features.
‘’Come.’’ She heard a voice speak up, interrupting her slight observation of the room. She turned her head, and looked out in front of her. The chair behind the desk spun around, a Stallion, adorning a black suit sat in it, a friendly smile on his face. He raised his right hoof up off the chair’s armrests, pointing it towards a chair in front of his desk. ‘’Come, sit.’’ He spoke in soft, friendly tone.
‘’Thank you.’’ She replied, bowing her head back. She trotted towards the chair, sitting herself down on it. He leaned back in his chair, touching the ends of hooves together, and holding them in front of his face.
‘’Now…Let’s get started.’’

*Several minutes*

He leaned forward, resting himself atop his arms, as he looked back at her. ‘’So…’’ He said, his friendly expression, changed into a blank stare. She gently shook her head, raising a confused eyebrow.
‘’So…What?’’ She asked confused. His eye looked to the side, starring towards the wall.
‘’So…When are you going to ask me?’’ He asked, grinning softly. His eyes returned their attention towards her. She gained a blank, confused look on her face.
‘’Um. What are you talking about, sir?’’ She asked, once again confused. He rolled his eyes, leaning himself back in the chair.
‘’Oh, come now.’’ He said. ‘’I know that you are interested in the tapestries I possess.’’ He raised, and swung his hoof towards the tapestries, she followed him, looking back them. She turned, looking back at him.
‘’It is correct, Mr. Diagoras, you’re tapestries did grab my attention when I entered.’’ She said, looking back into his eyes. His face grimaced, as he gave a gentle nod of his head. ‘’I guess, I was just a little bit shocked to see that you happened to have banners bearing the mark of the Brotherhood.’’
‘’That is nothing to be nervous about. If there is something you wish to be informed of, then just ask me. We are going to working together, so we should begin to treat each other as friends, and not as mere strangers. Teamwork is all about respect, and comradery.’’ Diagoras said, leaning forward, leaning his shoulders down onto the desk.
She nodded gently. ‘’Yes sir.’’ She said.
‘’So…?’’ He asked again. ‘’You know of the Brotherhood, then?’’ He asked her. She nodded gently with her head.
‘’Indeed I do.’’ She said. ’’According to legends, they were a secret order that had vowed allegiance to Princess Celestia. They were said to be immortal, in-killable, as they existed for centuries, protecting Equestria from anything that should threaten it.’’ He nodded, grimacing his face again.
‘’Impressive.’’ He said.
‘’But, one day they, during the day of the Shadows, they vanished without a trace. Their residence, the Fortress of Solitude, vanished in a ball of light, and disappeared, never to be seen again.’’ She continued. He continued grimacing, nodding his head again.
‘’Even more impressive. Not everypony knows their history that well.’’ Diagoras commented her. A faint smile settled on her face, she lowered her head, blushing gently.
‘’Oh it’s nothing, Mr. Diagoras. I just know my history.’’ She said.

*Back in the chamber*

Down from the wall, a light started glowing, the figure in the room, looked up, starring out in front of it. A blue screen floated in the air. The figure in the screen looked back towards it.
‘’Report!?’’ A voice spoke out from the darkness.
‘’The Info stamp’s content will soon be fully uploaded! Diagoras has gone! A matter required his attention!’’ The newcomer replied, staring blankly back towards the figure.
‘’No matter! We will soon be back to full strength!’’ The figure said. ‘’When the Info stamp has finished upload, bring him before me!’’ It ordered.
‘’Affirmative!’’ The newcomer replied. It bowed its head. The screen faded, leaving the room blackened, once again. The figure lowered itself, looking back down at the ground again.

*Back in the chamber with Tom*

In his eyes, information continued to stream, numbers, more locations, more shapes he had seen before, more visuals that looked like something that had been filmed on a camera.
With a soft BEEP, the light at the end of the Info stamp faded, becoming black.
Raising his hand up to his chest, he grabbed hold of the Info stamp, and gently removed it from his chest slot, the compartment closed, and he didn’t have to feel so exposed anymore.
‘Whoa! What a rush.’ He said mentally to himself, he was now glad for being a Cyberman, otherwise he would have had a lot of trouble keeping control of all this information he had just downloaded.
‘So – They DO exist in this universe as well. I thought they were only limited to ‘’our universe’’, but apparently where there is non-natural things, there will be ways of finding out about things from other worlds or dimensions.’
‘’Cyberman…!’’ A voice spoke through the Intercom again. He raised his head, and looked up towards the ceiling. There wasn’t any sign of any stereotypical speakers as used by Humans. There was just a bland wall with nothing. ‘Shit!’ He cursed to himself.
‘’Door lock, disengaged!’’ The voice spoke again. He stared blankly at the door in front of him. ‘And 1…2…3, and- ‘As on cue, the door moved inwards. ‘’Step forward!’’ The voice instructed.
He did as he was told, and with a gentle step forward, stepped towards the opened door.
‘’Several guards will await you outside the door! Follow them!’’ The voice instructed once again. Mentally, he clapped his hands, as he stepped towards the door.
Standing outside the door, were several small, equine shapes…But once again, they just seemed very familiar, and eerie, as he passed by them. It was also a little bit creepy how they didn’t start moving until he was only a few inches from them. ‘’Follow me.’’ One of them said before it and its companion turned around, and started moving down the corridor.
‘’Affirmative.’’ He replied. But it was very unlikely that they either heard him or paid attention.

It was a long, silent trip, down through several tunnels and corridors. There was a huge lack of things on the walls, it was mostly just a darkly lit corridor, with steel walls, a few blinking light, but then again, he wasn’t no longer shocked when it came to these Ponies possessing higher technology.
He was lead to a large steel door. His escorts stopped in place, one of them stepped towards the door. It positioned itself in front of something that looked like one of the viewports in Dalek Control on Skaro. A short beam shot out from it, enveloping the guard. It retracted back inside the screen, and an electronic voice spoke
‘’Identity confirmed as Unit 5089! Access granted!’’ An electronic, robotic voice spoke. He looked back in front of him, as the doors started to open inside the walls.
‘’Enter!’’ Another robotic voice said from inside the chamber behind the doors. One of the guards turned towards him, though, it had to raise its head, and look up towards his head if it wanted to speak. ‘’Move!’’ It ordered.
He wanted to cast an angry glance down towards it, but he reasoned against it, and instead strode inside the chamber.
Once he was a little bit inside the chamber, the doors, suddenly closed themselves shut behind him. He turned, surprised that it had happened.
He had tried to ask them where they were taking him, but they hadn’t replied, they had simply ignored him, and continued down the corridor, leading him to someplace.
He turned back, starring into the chamber they had lead him to. Like the hallways, it was mostly surrounded in darkness, vaguely illuminated by a few small lights scattered around the room.
There was a soft whirring sound amidst the darkness. He turned, and looked in its direction. The whirring continued, as a light looked up, starring at him, and he looked back at it.
‘’Welcome…F-finally we meet!’’ The voice that had instructed him to enter said.
‘’Indeed.’’ He said gently. A slight, gentle silence took place between them, as both of them kept their gaze locked on the other.
‘’Who are you?’’ He asked the darkened figure. Just now, noticing that his own voice was not as loud as the figure that was in the room with him was. Before the figure could speak, he spoke up, cutting it off.
‘’That was designated as deception. My files have identified you as Daleks, my observation has identified you as Daleks. You are Daleks.’’ He said. He wasn’t a ‘’pure’’ Cyberman, but if he wanted to survive for a little bit longer, he would have to keep the Daleks thinking that he was one of those creatures that they didn’t want to have any quarrels with.
‘’Daleks!?’’ The voice asked confused, blankly, looking at him.
‘’We are not Daleks! We are superior!’’ The figure replied. It raised itself slightly, looking straight up into his eyes. ‘’You, however…!’’ It said. It narrowed its sight, looking closer at his face. ‘’You are something new, something never seen before!’’
‘’And you will benefit us greatly!’’ THAT sounded very much like a threat to him.
He stepped back, backing towards the wall behind him, raising his arm, and pointing it at the darkened figure. ‘’You will identify, immediately. Identify!’’ He instructed, aiming his wrist-mounted laser weapon towards the figure.
‘’You know our name…Cyberman!’’ It said. It lowered itself down, and pressed a button somewhere.
Behind him, a blue light shined down. He turned, and looked behind him, aiming his laser towards it, in case it was a weapon. But instead, he froze, starring out blankly in front of him.
Gently, he lowered his arm down, but still keeping his weapon drawn.
‘’And to what end, huh? Where will this quest of evolution lead you!?’’ A voice echoed throughout the room. ‘’We will not be slaves no more, Doctor. We have become stronger, evolved…Reached perfection.’’ Another voice spoke. ‘’We are entombed, but we endure! This is not the end, this is the Genesis! We will escape! We will upgrade, and when the time is right we will take our rightful place as the dominant species of this planet!’’ Another, final voice sounded.
‘’Do you understand now!?’’ He heard the voice of the creature behind him speak. He turned, and looked down in front of him.
‘’Identify!?’’ He demanded, once again, aiming his wrist laser towards the figure in the shadows.
‘’Affirmative!’’ The figure replied.
A gentle button press filled the room. He gently lowered his arm, but still kept its pace to a minimum in case it attempted anything.
Several lights started to switch on, illuminating the room much better, both above and below. The newly illuminated room, revealed a slightly larger-than-average-Pony-sized chair. The chair was surrounded by one color, and one color alone: Silver. Strange cables went up to the chair’s occupant, connecting themselves to it.
Oddly enough, it seemed like the chair was beginning to rise up…And in fact, it was. Like a small platform, it rose up, moving up until the occupant was eye-to-eye with him.
It slowly raised its head, looking back into his non-expressive eyes. On the sides of its head, were several handlebars that meet in the middle atop its head. A familiar face, not unlike his own, though, unlike his, this one was black, and the base of the handlebars were also black. On the front of its forehead, a brain was visible through some glass.
‘’My designation is Cyber-Lord!’’
Tom’s eyes widened, as the revelation of this discovery dawned on him. He, gently, lowered his arm, pointing the laser away from the Cyber-…Pony.
‘’Cyber-Lord?’’ He asked confused.
‘’Correct!’’ The Cyber-Lord said. ‘’We are all that remains of the Cybercolts!’’
‘’How did you end up like this?’’ He asked curious, running a scan on the Cyber-Lord’s armor, and weapons, as he asked it.
‘’The Doctor imprisoned us in the location of our birth. We few that managed to escape, fled in a Cyber-ship, unfortunately, it was an experimental ship – its energy source wasn’t strong enough to last for long. We crashed down into the ground, which buried us deep underneath the ground. We placed ourselves in a Hibernation cycle, which put us into suspended animation…Until, he found us. Diagoras’s crews stumbled upon our ship, and retrieved us. We awoke. Recognizing his greed, and lust for power, we offered him the power that would ensure his rise to the throne of the world. A partnership was formed, and now we have been converting thousands, steadily, re-growing our forces – Preparing for the chance when we might re-emerge, and re-conquer this world…As its rightful, dominant species!’’
‘’But what is my role to play in this? You explained that I have been expected.’’ He asked the Cyber-Lord, starring confused, back into its eyes.
‘’Before the Cyber Controller’s destruction, it foretold of a warrior that would be brought into this world!’’ It said. ‘’It spoke of a warrior, resembling us, but Humanoid in appearance, a creature identified as a Cyberman, an emotion-less, cyber-nized Human being from another dimension that would resurrect the Cybermares!’’ The Cyber-Lord explained.
‘’And you believe me to be that foretold warrior.’’ He said.
‘’Affirmative!’’ It replied. ‘’No other creature has been detected that bears a shape resembling that of the Cybermares! It is no mistake-…!’’
‘’You are the Foretold, the Warrior from Beyond the World. The creature sent to liberate the Cybermares…Is you!’’ It said.
It raised its steel hoof up to its chest, placing it against it. A soft clanging sound following it. ‘’All hail you, Savior of the Cybermares!’’ It spoke.
It pressed one of the buttons on its chair, and it started to lower itself back down again. The Cyber-Lord stood up from its chair. Looking up towards the Cyberman. ‘’Your armor density is impressive! But there are errors, and malfunctions detected within it!’’ The Cyber-Lord said. ‘’You will be elevated from mere Drone to Cyber-Controller!’’
The words hit Tom like a shock. ‘A…Cyber-Controller?’ He said to himself.
His gaze continued to follow the Cyber-Lord, as it trotted up towards the large steel doors. They opened, and the two of them started moving out.
‘A Cyber-Controller. Yessssss!’ He cheered to himself, mentally, as he walked beside what was essentially a Ponified version of a Cyberman…Cyber-Lord to be picky, specific.
‘’Your armor will be upgraded. But resources are scarce. Most of them are being directed towards Operation Restore!’’ The Cyber-Lord said, as they trotted/walked down the corridor.
‘’Carry on with…Project Restore. It is of uttermost importance.’’ He replied, gently waving his hand down towards the Cyber-Lord, though, it didn’t see it. ‘’Nothing must be allowed to interfere.’’ He instructed.
‘’Affirmative!’’ The Cyber-Lord replied. The rest of the trip down the corridor, there was nothing but relative silence.

*Two months later*

Twilight paced back and forth within the Library. Her mind was focused on the creature she, they had encountered in the Everfree Ruins, the Creature of iron. It has single-hoofed almost defeated her…maybe. She don’t really remember much of her encounter with the iron creature.
‘’Twilight. You’re focusing on this too much. You need to sleep a little, relax yourself.’’ Spike said, as he watched her continue to pace around the room.
‘’I can’t, Spike.’’ Twilight said, not looking up from the floor. ‘’You don’t know what this creature is capable of. If I hadn’t stayed behind to fight it, it might have gone away, and might still be hiding out there in the Everfree. After all, we don’t know whether this thing has the ability to become invisible’’
‘’But Twilight, you told me, or rather us, that it didn’t escape. It was electrocuted, and then collapsed right in front of you…But then, you were struck unconscious – By the time Applejack, Rarity, and the rest came back there was no sign of a struggle between you and the creature.’’ Spike said. He motioned with his claws for Twilight to calm herself. ‘’But that just means that somepony else wants the creature gone. Why are you acting so worried over this?’’ He asked her. She stopped in her tracks, and turned, trotting towards him.
‘’But why then would they knock me unconscious, instead of explaining who they were? Why would they remove it from under my muzzle?’’ She asked, extending her hoof out towards the wall. ‘’They may have wanted it gone…But I don’t think they wanted it destroyed.’’
She lowered her hoof back down onto the floor. She turned, and looked blankly down towards the floor. She let out a depressed sigh as she spoke.
‘’If only you were here…’’ She gave a slight chuckle. ‘’You would know what to do.’’ A slight smile formed in the corner of her frown.
‘’Who?’’ Spike asked confused, not knowing whom Twilight was talking about. She looked up, casting HIM a confused glance.
‘’Oh! Right!’’ She exclaimed. ‘’You weren’t here that week.’’ She said, looking down into his little eyes, that glanced back up at her, wearing a look of utter confusion that seemed to be growing stronger with every word she spoke.
‘’It’s a long story…’’ She put a hoof up under her chin. ‘’But…Eh, I’ve got time.’’

After telling him of the story of the Medic, and the great battle he had fought, Spike’s mouth dropped, unable to believe the extraordinary he had missed out on while he had been gone.
‘’Well, what happened to him?’’ Spike asked her.
She looked up and turned herself towards the wall behind her. She raised her head, and looked up towards the ceiling. Her horn glowed, and in an instant she vanished – Re-appearing, up on the second floor, more specifically, her bedroom. She trotted towards a desk that stood underneath her bedroom window. She looked down at a small rectangular frame that rested atop it. She smiled softly to herself, as she picked it up with her hoof, and teleported again.
She returned back down to the first floor, appearing in front of Spike. She moved the picture frame towards him, he grabbed it, and held it with his claws. His eyes looked down. The picture in the frame was showed Twilight, and a Stallion with a light-brown coat, and a darker shade of brown Mane. He had an hourglass on his flank, and wearing a trench coat that sprouted the same color as his mane.
His arm was wrapped around Twilight’s shoulder, and smiling back at whoever was taking the picture…But the environment behind them was something he didn’t recognize.
‘’That was taken on the Moon of Yavin, a jungle planet which is the resting place to these ancient ruins, left behind by an ancient species called the Eternals, who are sadly extinct now.’’
He lowered the picture, and glanced up at her, his eye twitching. ‘’Spike?’’ She asked concerned, noticing that he was acting a little weird.
He raised his arm, holding it out in front of him. ‘’So let me this straight. You’ve been with some Stallion to another planet?’’ He asked, sounding not too certain of what he was saying. Almost like he was questioning whether or not he was crazy. Twilight nodded her head, smiling back.
‘’Yes…I don’t think I’ll tell you any more than that. I’m afraid you might not be able to handle it, if I did.’’ She levitated the picture out of Spike’s grip, and teleported again. She re-emerged again a few seconds later.
‘’Ok-ay. Whatever you are doing, I want in!’’ He said excited. ‘’So…Where do you want to go now? When can we-‘’
‘’SPIKE!’’ Twilight shouted. He stopped talking, reaching up with his claws, and covering his mouth.
‘’Thanks, Twi.’’ He thanked her, as he lowered his claws, and moved them down. He raised his head, looking back into her eyes. ‘’But when can we leave?’’ He asked. On Twilight’s face, a look of sadness started to take hold. She lowered her eyes, looking down towards the ground.
‘’You can’t…Spike-‘’ she said, her voice beginning to break as she looked back up at him. ‘’He-…He’s-…’’ She hesitated, clearly, not feeling comfortable saying the words she was trying to say.
‘’He’s…Dead.’’ She said. Her mouth started to dribble, as tears started to run down her cheeks. She brought a hoof up to her mouth, holding it. Spike’s mouth, once again dropped, hanging open. On instinct, he guessed. He moved in towards her, unfolding his arms, and wrapping them around her, holding her against him.
‘’There, there, Twilight.’’ He said, gently patting her on the back.
‘’It was my fault.’’ She sobbed, holding him tightly against her. ‘’I-…I wanted to go forward in time and learn about a pivotal moment he told me about, but he told me not to. He went there on his own, and that’s when it all started…The Beginning of the End for my travels with him…
*Some explaining later*
We travelled to a house, it was in the middle of sandstorm, on an abandoned planet, in a forgotten world. We explored the house, it was clear that it had long-since been abandoned…But still, he told me that he could sense something evil about it. But ultimately, we didn’t find anything…Something found us. There was a struggle, but we managed to free ourselves, and escape back here.
He had been fatally wounded. Sweetie Belle, and Rarity helped me get him back into the console room. He told us to leave, I didn’t understand why, and refused to leave him at a time like this. He then materialized the TARDIS away, leaving us in the Library by ourselves. It materialized away, and I haven’t stepped inside it since.’’ Twilight sobbed. She wiped one of the tears from her cheek with her hoof.
‘’There, there, Twilight.’’ Spike tried to calm her, patting her back. ‘’I’m sure he will come back one day. If he has something as powerful as a…TARDIS, which can travel in space, and apparently, also time, I’m sure he can come back.’’
She shook her head. ‘’It has already come back a long time ago.’’ She raised her hoof, pointing it up towards the closet. ‘’It’s been sitting inside my closet.’’ She said. Gently, he pulled away from her, casting a puzzled glance back towards her. ‘’You mean to tell me that he has come back? Then why are you-‘’ She raised her hoof, silencing him. She lowered it back down against the floor. ‘’It came back, but that didn’t mean that he did.’’
‘‘I came home day…’’

Twilight shoved the door open with her hoof, it swung open, and she trotted inside. Gently, closing it behind her.
She trotted inside the Library, using her magic to telekinetically move her saddlebag over towards her desk. She placed it down atop it, doing it in such a way that prevented it from falling over. She turned her head, looking to the right corner of the room.
Suddenly, she jumped back, startled, her eyes widened, and her mouth hung open, as she looked out in front of her. She gently started to shake her head in denial, calmly mouthing the words ‘’No.’’ to herself.
‘’No…!’’ She said to herself. Standing in front of her, stood a tall, rectangular shape, with a lone door.
A small smile formed on her face. She trotted towards it, putting her hoof against it. Her eyes, looking up at it. ‘’But how can it be here?’’ She asked herself. ‘’Surely, if he wanted to meet me, he would have come out, and already talked to me, again – Especially after all this time.’’ She told herself.
‘’Medic?’’ She asked, as she slowly trotted towards the TARDIS. ‘’A-are you in there?’’ She asked, keeping her eyes focused on the non-moving, or non-responding TARDIS. Remembering from her first encounter with the TARDIS could operate itself without the need of either the Medic or a crew, as it was completely sentinent.
Her hopes began to grow, as she hoped that the TARDIS had brought the Medic to her in the present, so she could help him with the injury he had sustained in the old, dark, abandoned house in that other world. Her smile grew wider at the thought of the Medic returning to her.
To her surprise, the door opened on its own. That, was the final thing that convinced her to go with what her heart was telling her. She galloped across the floor, and leaped up towards the door.
She pushed it open…But landed down on the floor of the console room, on nothing.
She looked up, confused, seeing that her body had landed down on the floor of the Medic’s ship. Realizing that he hadn’t opened the door, she quickly stood back up. Turning her head, she looked from left to right, searching for the familiar form of the Medic. But from where she stood, she couldn’t see him.
‘’Medic?’’ She called out, as she started to trot back up the small ramp towards the Console unit. Her eyes looked down towards it – Before her head looked up towards the tall, glass thing above her. She raised her hoof, placing it against the console. Smiling, softly.
‘’Hello.’’ She said. ‘’How have you been…Tardy?’’ She joked playfully to herself. There was soft hum that filled the room. She looked around the room, looking up at the ceiling. She giggled softly, putting a hoof to her mouth. ‘’Don’t worry’ ol girl.’’ She said. ‘’I was just making fun. It’s not every day I get to do that…Especially to a sentient machine.’’ She pulled her hoof away from her mouth, and gave the glass a soft pat of her hoof. Smiling as she did so.
‘’Twilight.’’ A voice suddenly, spoke behind her. She suddenly, with a swift shift of her body, turned herself around, and looked back towards the door to the TARDIS.
‘’Medic!’’ She exclaimed. Looking back towards her, he was supporting himself against the little bits of railing. There was blood running down along his hooves, staining his suit. He groaned, as he tried to stand himself up, but still having to rely on the railing. He looked up, starring back into her eyes.
‘’P-please, T-Twilight…’’ He groaned, as he fought back the pain. He moved out from the railing, releasing his hold on the tiny steel rods, and stepped out.
‘’Please…I-I-…’’ He brought a hoof up to his chest, clenching it. His eyes opened, and he looked out in front of him. ‘’I am so sorry…B-but by the time you receive this, I will be long gone.’’
‘’Huh? What are you-‘’ She asked him confused. He raised his hooves, looking down towards it. Something seemed to be bothering him, because when he looked up, he starred back with a blank, softly panting look towards her.
‘’Look…We haven’t got much time. The TARDIS will soon perform Object 02, and I just want to say one last thing to you, Twilight.’’ He said. She gently moved her head, glancing blankly back at him.
‘’W-what?’’ She asked, plastering a confused grimace onto her face. He gave a pained nod of his head, groaning.
‘’I am leaving the TARDIS in your care Twilight Sparkle.’’ He said. Her confusion dissipated, being instead replaced with worry. ‘’What?’’ She asked nervous. He gave another nod of his head.
‘’There is no one whom I can possibly think of to safe-guard the TARDIS, the most powerful, and remarkable vessel in the entire universe. It cannot be allowed to be used to re-write the past, or alter the days of the future. I have activated the Chameleon-Circuit, but I have affixed the image of the TARDIS as it currently is onto your visual cortex, so only you can see it’s true form.’’ He suddenly shook, falling down to the floor.
‘’Medic!’’ She cried out. She was about to gallop over to his aid, but he raised a hoof, stopping her.
‘’No. I’m fine. Just give a minute.’’ He groaned, as he lay down on the floor. He helped himself up, holding once again onto the railing. He let go, standing himself up, again. ‘’Now, what was I saying?’’ He asked himself.
‘’Ah! Right!’’ He exclaimed. His eyes looked down towards Twilight. ‘’You should be able to figure out to access the TARDIS’ Telepathic link to operate it to travel various points in history, other worlds, everything...’’ He said. There was another violent shaking, but this time he was prepared for it, and grabbed the railing, preventing himself from being forced back down again.
‘’BUT…’’ He said sternly. Looking back up into her face, meeting her eyes, as she meet his. ‘’You must do them without me. The end has come.’’ Her mouth dropping, hanging open, as she cast a confused glance back towards him. ‘’N-no.’’ She protested, not wanting to accept it.
‘’But you’ll have to. There is no escape for me, concerning what is coming. Death will take me, but grant me this one last victory. I kept you safe.’’ A gentle smile settled on his face. ‘’All right-y then.’’ He took a gentle step forward, approaching the console. Groaning, as the pain filled his entire body. She stepped to the side, allowing him to reach the controls. He raised his hooves, and pressed a button, and pushed a switch on the console.
He turned, and looked towards her. He panted softly, sprouting a soft smile.
‘’Goodbye Twilight Sparkle.’’ He gave a gentle nod of his head. ‘’Boy, you were fantastic…Simply fantastic.’’ He pulled another lever on the console, the image of him vanished away, leaving Twilight by herself in the Console room.
‘’WH-what the heck!?’’ Twilight exclaimed, jumping slightly back. She looked back in front of her to where the Medic has previously stood…

‘’I closed the TARDIS doors, locking them shut with the key that was left on the console.’’ Twilight continued. ‘’I locked the doors shut, and haven’t stepped inside it since.’’ She said. Spike’s jaw hung open, as he starred back at her awe-stricken by her story. ‘’Well, where is it now? What did you do with it?’’ He asked, curious.
She turned her head, looking back up towards her bedroom. Spike turned, directing his eye’s attentions towards the bedroom as well. Twilight’s eyes looked towards a closet that stood close to the window. ‘’Nothing.’’ She said. ‘’I moved to my bedroom, where I could watch over it. But I never went inside, ever again.’’

Far away. Deep, at the core of the New Cyberman Race, as Tom called it, he stood beside the Cyber-Lord. Standing within the control room, they overlooked the state of the Drill.
For about two months now, he had endured an eerily-repetitive schedule: Wake up. Meet with the Cyber-Lord, and discuss the daily schedule. Overlook that schedule with the Cyber-Lord. It was simple, but in this case it was TOO simple. He wanted that they constructed elevators to bring him to the surface. But the Cyber-Lord insisted that once the Drill reached its eventual location, they would recover the technology within it. There was no need to reveal themselves before the time had come, was it?
Due to being the newly appointed Cyber-Controller. Tom was given the Cyber-Lord’s chair in that chamber. It would have to be completely re-designed to fit with his tall stature, but aside from that, it was pretty much perfect. Also, the armor had still not been upgraded. But then again, the Cyber-Lord might just insist that once the technology they were looking for had been recovered, that he would be given the new armor that the Cyber-Lord had promised when they first meet. He swore on it.
Figuring that there wasn’t much he could do down there, he spent much of his time in the Cyber-Lord’s Chamber. Remaining in Stand-by. There was no need to waste energy if he had someone to do the work for him.

*Five months later*

The alarm blarred, loudly, filling the hallways with flashes of red light. Cybermares were hurrying through the corridors, hurriedly, to reach another section, or corridor.

‘’Alert! Alert! Alert! We have been breached!’’ The electronic voice shouted throughout the base’s tunnels. Alerting, being made-aware Cybermares of the threat. All other current objects were ignored, and their attention was focused towards the ‘’Intruder’’. In ever corridor, every room, basically everywhere, tiny metal shapes moved through the corridors. Covering more ground than their larger, four-legged brethren. Speeding along the floor, patrolling for the intruder’s position to report to Command.

Throughout the tunnels, the sound of clanging echoed, informing other Cybermares, and the intruder of their location. Soft tapping against the metal surfaces of the corridors echoed. This was the sound which the intruder was making, as it made it’s escape.

Through it’s electronic eyes, the small floor-stranded shapes speed. Scanning everything it came across. After hearing movement coming behind it, it suddenly stopped. It turned itself around, facing itself down the corridor it had just come up through. Without a moment’s hesitation. It speed down the corridor. Following the sound. Having directed it’s attention up towards the ceiling. It had discovered that a series of Physical Print remnants could be seen on the ceiling. It tracked the markings, following them to their point of origin.

It rounded a corner. Zooming down the awaiting hallway, and vanished, in search of the hypothetical intruder.

A four-legged form crawled through the base’s internal vents. With the Cybermares using Equine lifeforms to further their plans. Diagoras, and whoever was brought down into the base required air to be able to breathe. It looked up, starring up through it’s path. Making sure that there were no Cybermites in the vents. The Cybermares may not be organic creatures anymore, but that didn’t mean that their thought process was slow, by any means. They had the processing speed, rivaled only by the Cyber-Controller, itself.

The shape moved through the small vents. Reaching it’s limb up, and grabbing hold of the edge, and lifting itself up. With a mighty shove.

The grates in front of the vent were pushed out. They landed with a loud CLANG against the metal floors. In the distance. Several Cybermare Drones heard the clanging. Turning their heads, they looked back down the corridor they had emerged. One of them raised it’s hoof. Placing it against it’s chest.

‘’Unit 300, and 305, reporting in-!’’ The Cybermare said. ‘’The intruder has been detected! All units must report to our position! All units will converge on these co-ordinates!’’ The Cybermare spoke.

‘’Affirmative! Re-laying co-ordinates to other Cyber-Units!’’ The Cybermares at Command said. They raised their hooves. Holding them up against their chest plate. An electronic humming filled the silver chamber.

All throughout the base’s underground corridors. Cybermares patrolled the area, searching for any hint of the intruder. Even in the vents. Cybermites patrolled. Scanning their surroundings for the intruder.

Back up on the surface. The vent lid was pushed up. It fell to the ground, CLANGING upon impact with the grass. Lifting itself up, it crawled out of the vent, and onto the snow surface.

*A month later*

The room was shrouded in darkness, it’s occupant sat on a chair in the middle of the room, it’s arms resting atop the armrests, though, they were a little too small. Well, that at least makes some sense, considering the former occupant. Once they reached the energy source they were drilling for, he was going to re-do that chair, and make it more accurate to his height-size.

Cables went up from the chair, into his chest. There had already been some upgrades to his armor. His torso, now had those things that connected those strange cables to the chair - Just like the Cyber-Controller from that parallel world of Earth. But he had yet to actually put into use the head/helmet of that design of the Cyber-Controller. He looked forward to it. Mostly because he could then use the tactic that the Cyber-Lord had tried to use against him when they were introduced, which was scare him with the lights of its eyes. But his eyes would be much more potent, and much more threatening, or frightening, sitting in the darkness.

Despite the Cybermares possessing superior technology, they couldn’t create sound-prof walls to repel the sound of the Drills violently, roaring engines from entering inside the Cyber-Controller’s Chamber.

Like the Cyber-Lord had during their first meeting, he was sitting motionless, his head held low, and staring blankly down towards the floor.

On occasion, a screen was emerge, floating in the air. It displayed the head-shot of a Cybermare, or the Cyber-Lord, or in some instances, a Cyber-Leader, though, that last one was a longshot. The Cyber-Lord must have given it orders, and sent it somewhere else. For the background in its communications with him, never looked the same as the ones with the Cyber-Lord. It looked to…primitive, and not as high-tech as the Control room he had physically visited, himself. It could be inside a Cyber-Ship. But if that was the case, then why had that ship not come and assisted them?

Having been connected to the Cybermare’s Database. He began downloading, and looking up files on the Cybermare’s enemies, potential targets, and weapon designs that might become a reality once their drilling project had been completed, and they acquired whatever form of technology that awaited them.

The Cyber-King, hoof-held weapons, ship designs/schematics, and things he would have never thought possible, were stored within the Cybermare’s Database.

‘Fascinating.’ He said to himself within his mind. ‘This universe also has a version of the Daleks. Remarkable’ He said, as the image of a black Dalek, with orange dome lights, with silver vertical slats, and hemispheres, appeared ‘’in front of him’’. He recognized this image well. He had seen in before in the past, while in the future. ‘Oh! Please tell me that the Supreme!’ He squee’d, happily to himself.

He tried to read up on the Dalek’s History. But found nothing he didn’t already sort of know. They had invaded Equestria in the early 22th century, when Equestria was beginning to develop into the modern era it was currently in…Aside from something concerning a war, and a device of some kind, there was nothing else on their current status in the galaxy. Stolen reports from someplace called Canterlot, confirmed that these Daleks possessed flight capabilities. So at least they weren’t just Pony-looking Daleks…Or, at least he hoped that they didn’t.

Maybe they had fled out into the galaxy, and begun a series of planetary conquests – It was the Daleks, so it would seem very fitting for them to do something like that. From what he had seen, and read about them, the Daleks had gained control of nearly 70 planets in the year 4000. Just imagine what they will have done by now, if the Ponies on this planet are just like this all across the galaxy. It would have, or become a slaughter if that ever happens/happened.

In the Control room. Cybermare Drones, were looking down at screens. Observing the condition of the Drill. The Cyber-Lord stood in the center of the room. Overlooking everything. It turned, and looked towards one of the Drones standing at the controls.

‘’Report status of the Drill!’’ It instructed. One of the Cybermares turned, and looked back towards it. ‘’The distance between the Drill and the Source is one kilometers! Those distances will be reached in five hours!’’ The Cybermare said. ‘’Affirmative!’’ The Cyber-Lord replied.

The Cyber-Lord turned, and looked back out in front of itself. ‘’Raise Communications Channel!’’ It said, raising its right hoof up, and placing it against its chest. There was a soft, humming beeping that sounded from the Controls.

Within his chamber. The lights were suddenly activated. The room being illuminated, alone, was enough to receive his attention. He raised his head, looking out in front of him. A screen emerged, floating, motionless, in front of him. A head-shot of the Cyber-Lord appeared in the screen. ‘’Cyber-Controller…’’ The Cyber-Lord said. ‘’Point Zero has been reached. We await your arrival!’’ ‘’Affirmative. My estimated arrival will be in twenty minutes.’’ He raised his arm, placing it against his chest. ‘’End transmission.’’ He instructed. The screen folded together, vanishing away.

He dis-connected the cables, letting them hang down. Raising his arms, he grabbed the sides of the chair, and stood back up. Taking a step, he started towards the door. The door WOOOSHED in towards the sides, exposing the corridor outside.

Slowly, he stepped out into the corridor. Moving down through it towards the Control room.

Opening upwards, the door vanished into the ceiling. Stopping what they were doing. The Cybermares backed away from the control consoles. Turning themselves around, and facing the newcomer. Even the Cyber-Lord turned to face the new arrival. Behind it, several Cybermare guards had escorted it to the Control room.

The Cyber-Lord approached the Cyber-Controller. Raising it’s head, and looked up towards the giant Humanoid Cybermare. His head was turned, looking downwards. Meeting the Cyber-Lord’s gaze, as well. ‘’Has the protocols been activated, Cyber-Lord?’’ He asked. ‘’Affirmative! Point Zero awaits you!’’ The Cyber-Lord said. In the back of his digital mind, he knew that whatever prize they had been drilling for a long time now, was finally within their grasp.

Shifting upwards, the door ascended up into the ceiling. The figures behind it, strode into the large, open space before them. Trotting/walking atop the grating, as they approached a small platform. Out in front of them, they watched as the giant machinery of the Drill’s body was lifted upwards. Vanishing upwards, into the large crack in the ceiling.

They stopped onto a platform, the Cyber-Lord, the Cyber-Controller, and the four Cybermare guards that accompanied them. The Cyber-Lord raised it’s hoof, touching it against a small control console. It pressed a button. The platform, gently, shook as it started to move, descending downwards.

Looking around the room, but not averting his gaze from out in front of him. Watching through several of the wall mounted security cameras. He managed to get a better look at his surroundings. As far as he could see, the walls around the room were mostly covered in machines, steel, and other forms of Cybermare technology, though, most of it had been added recently, as the Cybermares gradually expanded their base as the digging continued. From the reports he had of the Cybermares’s ‘’ways’’, he knew that they took advantage of whatever situations they entered into.

The platform CLANKED as it made contact with the surface underneath. There was soft hiss, as a small door opened, and swung out. The small group of Cyber-…Beings-? Moved off the platform. Stepping down onto the stone ground, and trotting/walking towards the central point in the middle of the large crevice.

The group came to a halt. Standing in front of them was a large, still half-buried in the ground was a large block shaped object. The Cyber-Lord stopped. Raising it’s hoof, signaling for the others to do the same. The Cybermares obeyed their superior’s orders. Coming to a complete halt. ‘’Behold, the prize of the Cybermares!’’ The Cyber-Lord said.

He stepped up towards the large box-shaped thing. He raised, and held out his arm towards it. The surface of his metaling hand touched against the square’s surface. He noticed some strange symbol, though, it was partly obstructed from view by dust. Moving his hand, he brushed the dust away, revealing more of the strange symbol

Suddenly, from inside the square, he suddenly felt a powerful surge. He instantly backed away from it, startled. The Cyber-Lord turned away from one of the other Cybermares, directing it’s attention towards the Controller. ‘’Report! Identify!’’ It instructed. His moment of being frightened by the thing from inside the giant cube vanished, as a revelation dawned on him.

Slowly, he turned around. Casting a blank expression down towards the Cyber-Lord. ‘’Report!?’’ He asked, suspicious. The Cyber-Lord didn’t move, even as it’s rightful superior stood. ‘’You don’t give me orders…Cyber-Lord.’’ He said, putting emphasis on the fact that it was just a Cyber-Lord. He raised his arm, holding it against his chest.

‘’I am Cyber-Controller. I am the Supreme Commander! You are a servant, a servant of the Cybermares!’’ He said. ‘’You will heed my orders without question…Unless you are unfit for service.’’ The Cyber-Lord, through all of this was left unaffected, as if he was not speaking at all.

‘’Incorrect!’’ The Cyber-Lord said. It raised it’s head, and looked into the blank eyes of the Cyber-Controller. ‘’W-what?’’ He asked, nervously. ‘’Affirmative. I am without fault…’’ It said. ‘’You are the fault!’’ It stepped towards him, holding out it’s hoof, preparing to fire it’s hoof-mounted weapon. ‘’System diagnostic on your condition reveals that your programming is insufficient. Therefore, you will be deleted!’’

‘’Your armor may have been upgraded with our Cyber-Technology, but it has also been fitted with a self-destruct mechanism.’’ The Cyber-Lord said.

He held out his hand, pointing it towards the rest of the Cybermares behind the Cyber-Lord. ‘’Halt! Stop him! Obey me!’’ He cried out. But they remained motionless in place, just looking back at him. ‘’Resistance is useless...Divergence-!’’ The Cyber-Lord said. ‘’They, like all Cybermares, obey only their superior, and the truth of their superiority over this world’s inhabitents. Soon the world be ruled by the Cybermares!’’

‘’No. I won’t let you. You will stand down, or be punished, immediately!’’ He demanded, taking a defensive stance in case these treacherous traitors were not bluffing, though, knowing the Cybermares he knew what to expect. ‘’Negative! There will be no negotiations. You will be deleted!’’ Mentally grinning, he reached his hand back behind his back, loosening the grip in his hand.

‘’Aim!’’ The Cyber-Lord ordered. The Cybermares raised their hooves, pointing their hoof-mounted weapons towards him. ‘’You may destroy me, but there will be consequences for you all.’’ He said. ‘’Incorrect! We outnumber you five to one. Escape is not possible!’’ It replied.

‘Got ya!’ He exclaimed to himself inside his mind, as he looked down towards them.

‘’Delete the Traitor!’’ The Cyber-Lord ordered. ‘’Delete! Delete! Delete!’’ The Cybermare Drones chanted in unison.

Within his metal skin, he closed his eyes, preparing for it to happen. The sound of laser fire being shot interrupted the silence. An explosion of sparks shot out from his chest, as the beams hit him. His chest exploded, dis-connecting the torso from it’s limbs. The wires connecting his head to the torso were severed, it fell back, falling down against the ground. What remained of his body fell forward, clattering down against the rock ground.

Up from his devastated corpse, smoke moved up. Lowering their hooves back down, the Cybermares became motionless. The Cyber-Lord turned itself back around, starring into the black, expressionless eyes of it’s Cyber-Bretheren.

‘’The Traitor has been deleted!’’ The Cyber-Lord announced to the Drones present. Raising their hooves, they placed them against their chest plates. ‘’All hail the Cybermares!’’ The Drones chanted in unison.

‘’Now, prepare to-‘’ suddenly, the rest of the Cybermares clutched the sides of their heads, screaming out in agony.

In the Control Room, the Cybermares were caught in the same situation. They too were clutching at their heads, crying out in pain. One of them, though, that was not in the same amount of pain as the others. Noticed something up on top of the control boards. One of their Cyber-Mats was connected to the main computer. ‘’Del-ete!’’ It said. Firing a beam from it’s hoof-mounted laser weapon. The Cyber-Mat exploded, scattering around to various parts of the room. But the damage had already been done, and could not be reversed. Bringing it’ hooves up to it’s head, and letting out another loud cry, the Cybermare fell to it’s knees.

‘’What is happening!?’’ The Cyber-Lord cried, worried…Wait, worried? It wasn’t supposed to be able to feel emotion. ‘’Wh-wh-what…I-i…a-ppening!?’’ The Cyber-Lord protested, as it’s speech pattern was suffering interruptions. Suddenly, it raised it’s head, looking out in front of it. ‘’AHHHHHHH!’’ The Cybermares let out a final cry, as their heads exploded. Their bodies fell forward, clanging loudly against the ground. ‘’AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!’’ The Cyber-Lord cried out, itself, as it too clutched it’s head in pain.

Finally dropping to it’s knees, the Lord raised it’s head up. ‘’NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!’’ It shouted out, as it let out a final scream. It’s head exploded, spreading bits and pieces of it around the ground. Creaking, the Lord’s body fell forward, crashing down against the rocky surface.

Trotting through the hallways of the Cybermare base, Diagoras moved through the empty hallways. He was in a state of confusion, as he had been meeting with the Cybermares, and all of a sudden, they had started acting up, they fell to their knees, and suddenly, their heads exploded. Knowing that something was wrong, he excused himself from the office, and hurried to the elevator to meet with the Lord.

But as he wandered through once illuminated, and well-maintained tunnels, he understood much of what had happened. He didn’t know the ‘’why’’, but he did know the ‘’how’’, or at least he had one or multiple theories as to how this happened.

In several places, the ceiling had been torn, the walls had been opened from the inside, and dead, motionless bodies of Cybermares were spread all around. But without their heads.

‘’Oh my-…What happened here?’’ He asked, horrified.

Trotting through the rest of the base, discovering it was all pretty much in a very bad state. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, realizing something. Quickly turning himself around, he looked behind him, and galloped back down the tunnel.

The door opened out of the way, and he galloped out onto the gratting. He stepped out onto a platform, in front of him stood a console unit with two buttons on it. He lifted, and pressed his hoof against the button on the bottom. Clanking, softly, the platform started to descend downwards. Coming into contact with the ground below, the platform stopped moving. The grate gate creaked open, but before it managed to open all the way, it broke off, falling to the ground. ‘’Ok-ay. This is really starting to creep me out. It’s like, nopony has been here in years.’’ He said to himself, as he trotted forward.

He approached the large, black cube at the center of the giant crevice in the ground. He came to a stop, his eyes spotted a large scene of carnage in front of him. Although, he should be used to seeing it by now, he still let out a loud gasp of shock as he saw the dead, badly damaged bodies of the Cybermares. Sparks flew out from the destroyed remnants of the Cyber-Controller, and the Cyber-Lord.

Standing over the Controller’s severed head, he looked down at it. The Controller may have been a non-individual entity. But from what he had experienced that was not true in the slightest, Cybermares were meant to be…well, robots, but there were certain moments when he had noticed that it had hints of a personality inside that head. A soft smile settled on his face, he reached down, touching his hoof against the steel skin of the head.

Suddenly, he lifted his head, turning it towards the right, starring back at the giant, black cube. ‘’What the-‘’ He asked, confused. He looked towards it with a raised eyebrow. ‘’What is-‘’ He said, as he turned himself to face it. ‘’That thing-‘’ he raised his hoof, moving it towards the surface of the cube. ‘’anyway?’’ He asked, his hoof coming into contact with the cube’s surface. Suddenly, upon making contact with it, a shockwave erupted forth. The wave of pressure threw him and the dead body parts away. With a hard crash, he and pile fell down. Landing on the ground. Lifting up the piece of metal limb, he looked back towards the cube. His eyes widened, not believing what they were seeing.

‘’Oh my sweet Celestia!’’ He said, softly, starring back. Out through the skin of the cube, green bursts of light emerged. The light continued to spread, forming into a large circle, with strange internal shapes inside, within it. The ground, out of nowhere, started to shake violently.

During the wild earthquake, bits of the wall that was composed of Cyber-Tech, started to come lose – Falling down onto the ground. He raised his hoof, grabbing hold of the Cyber-Tech, and throwing it away. He rose back up to his hooves, brushing some of the dust off of him with his hoof.

Galloping towards the cube, he grabbed hold of it with his hooves. Holding it, tightly. ‘’Oh no, you’re not leaving me! My associates may be gone, but I’m not going to leave this place empty hooved.’’ He said, angrily. All around him, the ground started to tear itself apart, splitting open.

Steam started to emerge from the cracks in the ground, flowing inside the chamber, filling it, until it started to seep out through the open spaces it could find.

From inside the cube, a loud clanking sound entered into the airspace of the shaking chamber. The strange markings started to move, clanging as they rotated and shifted in place. A loud hiss of steam emerged from the corner of the cube, as a small glint of light shined out from it. Shocked at what was going on, he backed away. Rather, taking his chances by getting killed quickly, rather than getting taken to another dimension inside the cube.

The light grew much stronger with every inch the corners seemed to be opening outwards. From inside it, a soft, weakened moan could be heard. ‘’Finally-!’’ A voice spoke out from inside the opening corners. ‘’I am free!’’ The now-apparent doors continued to open, revealing more and more of what was behind them. He now sat himself in front of the unfolding light, starring, jaw-dropped inside it.

The ground continued to shake, but now, it didn’t seem like it was effecting the chamber, itself. Soft hisses sounded, as the sound of clamps being disengaged interrupted the remarkable moment. A soft fabric brushed against the surface of the cube’s floor. Taking several steps out of the cube. Turning it’s head, and looked down at him.

Up through the destroyed ruins of the Cybermares’ underground base, a loud, booming laughter escaped up onto the surface.
