By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.

I've spent twelve years as a nurse, now. Nurse Redheart, helping the ailing ponies of Ponyville, caring for them all. Twelve years! So many memories, so many regrets. And yet one night, a decade ago, I remember with particular sorrow - for on that one, terrible night, I failed...

Nurse Redheart has seen a lot of patients come and go through the Ponyville Hospital, but when an old and feeble stallion checks in there seems to be something different about him. He has a story to tell.

It's no grand adventure or yarn of fiction, merely a tale of his youth. However, Redheart finds something special even in the mundane life of Mr. Business.

This story is a sequel to Sour Sweet, Sweet Love

Gilda's daughter, Gretchen despises the doctor's office with a vengeance. In an attempt to remedy this, her best friend and daughter of Sour Sweet, Bitter Honey decides to turn their playtime into a practice session. However, their pretend takes an unexpected turn when Bitter starts to take her role too seriously.

A nurse has seen it all. A combat medic has seen even more.

Princess Celestia sends her elite Household Battalion—"Celestia's Own"—south, far beyond the borders of Equestria, to break the slave trade and to free the oppressed. Medic Redheart, a young rookie among the Guard's hardened veterans, is with her Battalion every step of the way.

She's never told anypony her story. Until now.

A side story/prequel to my The Ponies in the Caves and A Story to Relate To, but reads independently.

This story is fantastic. There wasn't a single chapter that didn't give me chills or bring a tear to my eye. The way you describe the selflessness of the soldiers, and Redheart's unrelenting drive to save them, no matter the personal cost, was exemplary. I look forward to more of your work.

Nurse Redheart feels herself overcome by emotion as she writes a letter about one of her adolescent patients, a Ponyville stallion with Hooftington roots named Sunbury Sparkle who just so happens to be Twilight’s cousin. She’s had to do this countless times before, but every patient has their own, compelling story. Some mean more to her than most.

It probably goes without saying that this is mostly autobiographical, with things such as the timing of events and such jumbled about. It’s also a loose sort of spiritual sequel to my very first fanfic, Rarity’s Raspberries. I’d like to thank all of my fimfiction friends for their care and support. P.S. Why the hay does Nurse Redheart have no character selection icon?

Dash finds herself once more in the nurse's office after being injured at practise. However, Nurse Redheart is more distant than her usual self.

A framed insignia patch and picture sitting on the nurse's desk hints towards the reason, but worries that broaching the question would be asking something too personal.

The story she hears will change her view on the nurse for the rest of her life...
