When good has prevailed across the multiverse, where do the last villains go? Well, an evil bar in a casino would be a good place to start.

Originally written for the Original Pairings contest, but 1,600 words in I looked at the rules and I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t count. Meh, I always wanted to touch on a few of these rouges anyway, and I had fun.

This story is a sequel to A Moonlit Storm

In a world full of multiple sapient species, espionage is a delicate art. No nation can rely too much on their majority species, lest their spies stand out like beacons of suspicion, and so the Equestrian spy network is surprisingly diverse, with some of the Crown's most trusted agents not being ponies at all.

Kisu has served Equestria loyally for years, and the zebra mare feels she's earned her retirement, but troubling news in a far-off land has her called into service again. Because she is one of the most trusted and loyal, and so Princess Celestia knows she'll be the most effective eyes and ears she can get in the middle of a kingdom gearing up for war.

Kisu must infiltrate the forces of the Storm King, sabotage his war efforts against Abyssinia, and most importantly, make some friends.

An entry in the Eventide Verse. Reading A Moonlit Storm is recommended, but no other stories are required.

** PLEASE NOTE: This is an extended-universe MLP story, which means it will primarily involve the races outside of Equestria for the most part. Most of this is post-movie headcanon, so, proceed with caution. **

A feud is taking place beyond Equestria, to the southernmost part of the world, where three countries have been in racially-induced troubles for the past few decades. Unfortunately for them, there is an ancient evil of unspeakable proportions that has been sleeping within their soil since ancient times, and it is threatening to surface and show its face at long last, destroying the surrounding areas in the process. However, there is a prophecy passed down through generations; through an ancient artifact of great power. And when an unknowing cult revives the Storm King, the wheels are set in motion.

Seven souls will embark on a long, incredible journey to thwart the ancient evil and send it back down to where it belongs once and for all.

And the combined power of three champions will save the day.

...But first, the newly-revived Storm King must go head-to-head with his demons, literal and figurative, of the past and present.

And that is not going to be an easy task.

After being banned from coming to the wedding, Twilight leaves Equestria and becomes a member of the Storm King's army. This allows Twilight to become close friends with Tempest as Twilight swiftly rises to the rank of 2nd Commander and is renamed Sparkle Shadow.

One year after the defeat of the Storm King, Tempest Shadow and Grubber are now residents of Canterlot. With Twilight's help, the two of them start to become friends. Tempest reflects on how she has changed since then. She is starting to learn how to trust again. Yet she can't help but feel like something more than her horn is incomplete. And she meets a young stallion who just might be able to identify with her feelings.

Be aware that since this story takes place after the events of My Little Pony: The Movie, there are some spoilers regarding the ending of the movie plot.

Stormfeather (a background pony from the show) makes an appearance here. The story eventually contains a relationship between Tempest Shadow and an original character (the stallion Xenon). It is my first piece on this site, so any feedback would be helpful!

Tempest Shadow sometimes wonders what her place is at Beanis Inc. If she was pressed to give it a job description, it would probably come out as "whatever Twilight and Wallflower need me to do." So when Twilight approaches her with the opportunity to manage her own new department, she jumps at the chance.

All she has to do is solve the minor issue of digital piracy.

When Sky Stinger is captured by an unlikely foe, it's up to Vapor Trail and some of her closest friends Angel Wings and Midnight Strike to get him back. Tempest Shadow is preparing her invasion of Equestria and is concerned over a meeting that she will be having with the Storm King. To add to her troubles, Tempest has discovered that Grubber and her minions have wasted the day away prepping a birthday party for her. Not interested in such foolishness, Tempest destroys the party. Grubber though, being a thoughtful underling, presses Tempest with some cake and a gift. A gift that may just solve her problems.

But if you want the long description, here it is: The Storm King has been given a second chance by attending a Redemption Class in Twilight's School of Friendship (with that particular class being taught by Discord because he would not stop bugging everyone about it). Of course, redeeming him isn't going to be that easy but, as you can tell by the title, he will come around (especially when there is a worse threat at stake).

In spite of the name, no, there is no Jim Carrey or Neil Patrick Harris to be found here so prepare to be disappointed if you were hoping for that. The only reason I named this fanfic like that is because it sets up the satyr-ical (get it, because The Storm King looks a little bit like a satyr) tone of the fanfic.

PS: The "Yay!" in the title is sarcastic.

In a fit of anger, Tempest Shadow destroyed Twilight Sparkle's friendship festival crown. But, in destroying so, she was forced to put up with the crown's spirit. Now travelling around Equestria, Tempest is once again visited by the crown's spirit.
