Ten years ago, the Griffon Empire opened a portal to a strange new world and tried to annex it. In the peace settlement that followed they lost control of the province containing the portal. Since then, the Griffonian Democratic Republic had been completely isolated, surrounded on all sides by a hostile empire. Now, for the first time, a visitor had been allowed.

Twilight is practicing an experimental trans-dimensional teleportation spell. The spell is successful, and the Mane Six find themselves on Earth. Agincourt, France, in 1415, to be exact. They appear on a hill overlooking the brutal and bloody battle of Agincourt, and witness the barbarism of war for the first time in their lives.

Red Team had been given an assignment. It wasn't the usual sort of assignment. They were assigned to defend their base 'until further notice'...and then never received notice. All announcements sounded pre-recorded, and enemy assaults were few and far between. The enforced inactivity was slowly fraying the bonds of the team...

...until something unexpected arrived. A tiny creature appears one day in their fortress, in need of compassion and care. Somehow, she finds that in this group of strange individuals, as she becomes their baby.

Mayor Mare has been living in Ponyville for quite some time. Not as long as she'd have you believe, mind you, but a long time all the same. During this period, she had dreams and aspirations, and as far as she's concerned, she accomplished each and every one. But what do you do when you've already achieved all of your goals?

Well, she was pretty lonely. And although she obtained the exact career path she wanted for many moons, she had much less luck with the stallions in her life.

She never would have imagined that the solution would come in the form of a human, or what that solution would eventually lead to. The result is quite unorthodox.

Rhys, the local human, is not particularly socialable. Indeed, he spends most of his time in house out towards the edge of Ponyville or else with Twilight working on how he is going to get home. He talks about home a lot.

One night, quite unexpectedly, Rarity finds him outside her door. He is very drunk.

She's annoyed by this, though less annoyed when she discovers the reason why.

"Why does Celestia raise the sun? How can she move something so huge every single day?" Two simple, innocent questions. Yet the answer may be too much for Anon's mortal mind. A truth so great it could crush his very grip on reality.

Or maybe it doesn't even matter.
